Is this item a one time use thing, or do you have to keep buying it?

Currently on live this is consumed on use but you do not need to repurchase it. There is a buff associated with this item but you do not get any visible buffs.

After using this item you can see and loot Stolen Anima Vessels in the 'old' Maw. The anima vessel does despawn after a bit if looted, however it will respawn again shortly(?) after. They show up on your minimap as small treasure chest icons if you have used the aforementioned item.

There are seven weekly total anima vessels that you can loot. Three are inside the rift and reset weekly. Two are in the area of the ongoing Maw assault. The assault is bi-weekly and when a new one appears it will bring two new anima vessels that you can loot.

There should be five anima vessels that you can loot at the moment, three within the rift and two outside of the rift, rough locations here on this map. These are not daily. They could be one-time or it is possible that they change when the assault changes. The map shows the spots where my guild has found vessels but no one has looted more than 5

This item persists in the vendor's inventory even if you've used it once already, and there is (as far as I'm aware) no indication as to whether you've used this item once on a character already. You can return the item if you buy it a second time; however, using it a second time does appear to consume it for no extra benefit. Don't waste your Stygia for the sake of curiosity as I did.

I just bought and used it thinking it would remain in inventory, did I just waste 1000 Stygia? Gone from the bag, and I see no buff

Once you used that item, you can see Anima Vessels, which reward you with around 50-175 worth of Cataloged Research.

It completes a hidden quest, so you dont need to buy another one.

If you're in The Rift and have a choice between hunting these down and the Rift Hidden Caches, go for these. The caches just contain greys and some stygia.

Here's how to check if you already bought and used this item:

If it returns "true", you don't need to buy another one. Confirmed on a new alt, returned false before buying and true after.

Found one during the Venthyr Assault by entering the Extractor's Sanatorium at 27.9 20.5

Sorta under the tremaculum going down a bunch of stairs.

Venthyr Assault inside the rift the building with the entrance at 27 19 has a vessel inside, unlike the other vessels i only got anima from that one though.

失窃的心能容器 spawn in random locations and can be found in The Maw in Normal Phase nearby the currently assaults and Rift Phase around all The Maw.
The treasure will appear in your mini map when you stay nearby.
To enter on Rift Phase you have to open the 裂隙传送门 in Korthia and walking to The Maw on the treasure coordinates or using 坍缩裂隙石 in The Maw.
To see this treasure you need buy and use the item 宝库心能追踪器.
You just will be able to loot 5 vessels per Covenant Assault. 2 in Normal Phase and 3 in Rift Phase.

Use the macro below to check if you already bought and used this item:

I bought this item last week & it worked on my main and alts in finding those vessels. This week none were showing up so I bought another one. I could then see the vessels. Not sure if that's working as intended or not but the first one only seems to last that week.
