As of 12/22, this popped up as a reward as part of the Adventure Campaign on my mission table. A Level 60 Mission, Campaign: The Final Puzzle. As a Night Fae, the trapper strat still works even at this high of a mission. My Dreamweaver was only level 32 and Ardenweald Trappers were only level 31 at the time of completing this mission.
Row 1: Trapper Dreamweaver Trapper
Row 2: Trapper Trapper
Succeeded as Night Fae using Level 30 Dreamweaver and Level 25 Ardenweald Trappers.
Front: Trapper - Trapper - Trapper
Back: Trapper - Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver and the front 3 Trappers were killed, the back Trapper barely had a scratch.
I had tried this mission previously with the two on the back row swapped, with Dreamweaver at 29 and Trappers still 25, and failed badly. Highly suggest the successful layout here based on my experience with the previous attempt.
Finished with Necrolords Covenant.
2. Emeni (40)
3. Gunn Gorgebone (38)
4. PD Marileth (39)
5. Assembler Xertora (28)
Hope you can find this useful.
EDIT: Just to clarify, that exactly 1 day after writing this, I received my first mount mission. My command table is on level 1, and I just got the mission for Chittering animite, so level of the CT is not required, but the amount of 'special' missions that provide the progress is. I don't have it installed, but players have proved, that after you reach 15, the mount missions will start spawning.
I haven't found this piece of information anywhere, but could someone please share the information, whether you need the Mission table on level 3 to start proccing the mount missions? Several people I met with the mounts, said that their mission table is @ level 3. I'm pushing the missions actively on 4 characters (1 covenant each), and so far I haven't encountered a single mount mission. Thanks in advance!
Is it just me or Blizzard got really lazy with those recolours in Shadowlands? They dont even look different at all. This mount looks exactly like Famu's one. In previous expansions when we got recolours we could at least tell those mounts apart. Now it's like copy-paste with same colour palette.
I never understand what Blizz is thinking when it comes to this stuff, or why they don't think.
You're going to get this mission multiple times on multiple toons, so you're already going to have the mount. Why not at least make it worth some amount to a vendor, even a paltry amount like 100g?
Instead you can't even vendor this if you already have it.
I already posted on this page because I had some questions, and now that I have obtained all 4 mounts, and since there are no real guides where all the needed information is, I have decided to write up a guide on how to obtain the 4 mounts that the Shadowlands command table offers.
The four available mounts are
. This is also the order in which I received these mounts in the span of only three days.
To get the most 2 basic advices out of the way. I have been playing with the adventure command table on all 4 characters, each belonging to a different covenant and here is what I have gathered:
- If you have a chance, hunt these mounts with the characters that are Necrolords, or Night Fae. Even after the nerfs and buffs to certain troops, those 2 covenants still have the easiest time. I have seen reports of Kyrian & Venthyr players beating the mount missions, but the level / combination of companions matter way too much with these covenants, so just stick with Necro / NF if you have the chance.
- Most importantly, this was the question I was asking. You DO NOT need your Command table upgraded to level 2 or level 3. The command table on my necrolord is still at level 1, while having all the mounts obtained.
So, now to the actual guide how to obtain the mounts. To do it in the shortest time possible, you have to find the correct balance between completing the basic XP missions, and completing the missions that provide the
Adventure campaign progress
currency. This is the Valor point icon next to the rewards. Completing these, will provide you missions that require higher level of your followers, but will provide greater rewards. The rewards go like this: Gear - Pets - Rep tokens - Mounts. In order to start proccing the mount missions, your
Adventure campaign progress
has to be on 16. The level 17 mission will provide you the first mount, level 18 the second, level 19 the third, and level 20 the final mount which will end the Command table progress. Players using the Venture plan addon have this visible on the addon's UI, but players who don't use this, can see the campaign progress with this command -->
As a Necrolord, the great combination for clearing all these missions consists of:
- Plague Deviser Marileth
- Bonesmith Heirmir
- Secutor Mevix.
For me, the companions were all ranked from level 40-48.
Important to note:
- I was using the Covenant Mission Success Estimates addon that can be downloaded via Curseforge. I personally recommend this one, since it's alot more user friendly and has a better looking UI (for me atleast), but keep in mind, that this addon really ESTIMATES SUCCES, because sometimes it goes off by quite alot. If I would listen to this addon's estimation, I wouldn't have any of the mounts just yet, as the addon told me that I will 100% fail, while I was finishing the missions with 2 of my companions untouched (2nd row), while the 3 companions in the front row got trashed to 0 usually. On the last mission, the addon estimated that the enemy team will kill me in 9 rounds, while I would need 17 rounds to kill them, and I still succeeded with one Bonesmith's half hp.
I will check this comment every now and then, and update it if there is any information I have left out, or if there is something I don't know yet.
Good luck with your adventures!
This mount is
the same as the
that drops from Famu, with
the only difference being that this mount is quite a bit smaller than the
Completed as Night Fae:
Meatball (39) - Guardian Kota (38) - Trapper (32)
Te'zan (41) - Dreamweaver (41)
I was able to complete this mission on Venthyr with all of my troops still alive. The mission was a level 60 and in the first row from left to right, I had
(45). Then in the back row, I had
(45). It was an easy win for me.
I have played WOW online since a few months before Burning Crusade came out and have only won 2 black market auctions.
Both were unopened containers and both were within the last month. The first cost about 350k gold and contained a mount. It was listed as a Hot Item through out the active part of the sale. The second cost me 210k gold, was at first listed as a Hot Item, and at the end of the auction when I had the winning bid I noticed it was no longer listed as the Hot Item. I am a level 60 Druid. From that 2nd auction I got a soulbound ; item level 42, Cloth, worth 2g 35s 66c and, sad to say, would have been an addition to my Appearances if I had been able to send it to my mage.
To be honest, I have never paid much attention to an auction after it got too expensive for me to continue, so never saw the end of one until recently. Does anyone have any feed back on this? It would be interesting to find out if the containers with the better loot stayed a Hot Item longer, no? A little built-in hint you would find out somewhere like Wow Secret Finding! But then that would mean people would stop bidding, and poor Black Market sellers need gold to cover their business and living expenses , no? rofl
But I have noticed the items don't seem to be reaching those high bids, like they used to and my friends are complaining more and more or leaving WOW completely.
Hummmmm.... Has anyone else thought about the fact that Blizzard often does things in game as if it was, itself, a player? I mean heaven forbid if a player made back some of the gold they spent on a purchase, that would be too much like using the regular auction house except without the chance of something you cannot get there, or anywhere else. And the way the regular AH is set up now, there is still a chance to be deceived. I once bought an item that had haste and mastery. There were a few hundred of the item at the price I chose to pay available with my stats - or so I thought. When I received it, it came with NO secondary stats at all, just two of the random stat places. I was told those had to be crafted when it was first made and it was explained to me that a lot of people bought the same item and when the stats I wanted ran out, the next item in line was what I purchased. That was never resolved to my liking. I never got any gear replacement to match what I bought or refunded my gold because the item was no longer available.
Actually, I still cannot believe that, first, they would allow that to be sold and, second, they treated me as if they might lose money to fix it if they did anything to help me get what I actually bought.
But things like increasing the cost of a necessary reagent a profession cannot do without like thread in the middle/end of an expansion, or not restoring items that clearly had belonged to a player or that a player was cheated out of like my AH purchase because it does not follow a set protocol set more for not losing gold, instead of not losing players. When it comes to ingame gold what can they lose? I mean, what? GMs used to restore things all the time if they could verify you had owned it and it was never sold or destroyed.
And, in this case, what is the reason for making items in containers just soulbound? What could possibly be wrong with making an item of gear BOE? or even just account bound? What is the downside of mounts in containers that can be put on the AH if they are duplicates?
I don't see any downside, but going back to the original WOW and the attitude of "customer service" where there was always a genuine attempt to keep the customer happy only has an upside. And I am not just talking about happy players. I am also talking about players that talk to friends like they used to about joining in on the fun. And I am talking about at least slowing down the number of players that are leaving Azeroth daily. You would think someone over at Blizzard would stop and take the time to THINK!
