I also received this mount on my first Mythic run tonight (Heroic as well, for that matter). I also got the 凋触之卵 farming earlier in the day.

This mount drops off of Nalthor the Rimebinder the last boss of The Necrotic Wake dungeon but only on mythic difficulty.

This mount is the same model as that of the Chewed Reins of the Callow Flayedwing with a slight difference in colouration.

Rarity String for all of the following:

Armored Bonehoof Tauralus - This can be bought from the Necrolord Renown Vendor OR rarely looted from the indariver as I was halfway through the list of mounts and found their comments which helped me finish up the other half of the list. :)

I can’t believe my eyes, I have just seen it drop for two people in my M0 group at the same time, is it really a 0.8% drop? What are the chances of a double drop in one group in one run 😂

A bit self explanatory, but incase someone will wonder, this mount can be traded.

It dropped for us yesterday, while 2 chesting a Necrotic Wake on +5. A very nice player received this upon looting the chest, and traded it to me for a nice deal since I'm a huge mount collector.

Do you need to be Necrolord to loot this ?
Are you eligible for the drop after every mythic run or just the first run of the week ?

I have been farming this 3 times a day every day as a Venthyr and not seen it drop for anyone yet

At 525 runs I saw it 11 times drop, but not for me. I farm it 4 times on M0 and then with my main multiple times on +2/+3 Keys. At this run I bought it from the Player who got it for 500k Gold. Now it is Over!

As a mount collector, I forgot this even was on the loot table after running NW on my alliance characters on keys - a resto druid, holy paladin, resto shaman, mage - many many many times since SL opened. I boosted a horde paladin and ran this on a zero for the first time and it dropped. RNG got to be RNG.

Is anyone able to confirm whether the mount can drop for you/you can loot it, even if you've already collected it?
I have people who would farm it with me who already have it, for a gold reward if they can trade it to me, but we can't find any clarification whether or not it can drop as a duplicate.

After 116 attempts, I finally got mine yesterday. You can run about 2-4 NWs per hour as tank. I got mine on a +12.

I just tried this solo as a level 70, but he still does dark exile, which resets the boss fight. Hopefully that gets changed so it won't happen with only one person present.

Hello just dropped after some tries ,level 70 and 351 ilvl.Have tried with a couple of alts around 350ish ilvl and my main at 385 .
Just carry a spear through the last boss and save/throw ALL of your cooldowns for this one.
Havent tried with caster classes but with melees+hunter its possible confirmed .

I have a side account with a low level (60) char. The final boss won't reset when casting Dark Exile on the main char when you keep the side account char on the boss platform, plus, he won't attack them if they stay far away (near the edge of the platform). The boss will stay still but don't reset nor attack til the main char is back. This makes it foolproof to farm the boss even with chars that aren't able to burst him down before Dark Exile.

Was able to easily today solo using both the spear and hammer items picked up on the way to Amarth & CD's. ilvl 400 Prot Pally. Died well before the cast but unfortunately no mount for me.

There is something key about Dark Exile, if you don't use ANY pets it will never be casted, so do not use lock, DK, Mage or Hunter pets if your dps is low.
It will take a while but if can break he barrier it works.

I started this week with lvl 380+ chars

Has this dropped for anyone recently? I'm at 400 kills and rarity had stopped tracking my attempts, but still works for everything else... Just need some confirmation it exists!

Tips and tricks to getting this mount in Dragonflight and beyond

Mythic difficulty only (One chance per week per character)
You can avoid lots of the trash by staying a far distance from them and hugging walls
I would recommend around at least 370 item level in dragonflight
There is no way to share skip ID with your alts (to skip bosses). You will need to full clear the dungeon each time.
The final boss is quite easy and soloable. If your dps is low, in order to avoid him porting you away with Dark Exile and resetting the fight, you can't use any pets (lock, DK, Hunter pets, Priest shadowfiend, etc.)
If you do happen to use a pet and he casts dark exile, he will keep using it each pull afterwards until you log out for a while or reset outside.

Just wanted to note that this is very soloable in season 2 and beyond of DF. I comfortably killed all the bosses in less than 10 seconds on a 444 WW monk (season 2). As for mythic dungeon solos, this is very quick. You can mount up and avoid 90% of the trash by simply walking along the edge of the room.

Just remember you need to aim one of the abomb's hooks at the stitchflesh (i.e. keep the abomb alive to hook the boss). Everything else is just hit buttons until it dies.

Just want to confirm that this item still drops as of patch 10.2 for those who still need it.

I finally got it today after 650 attempts, on the 40th and last toon for the week.

It was a nightmare to farm, and nightmare's over.

Uhhhh i hope this thing drops for me. Sitting at 300+ attempts as of now, not much, I know, but I just got the Quantum courser today. If marrowfang can join my crew the only thing left in Quantum courser is the infinite timewaster rein that was long thought after by me.

anyone else suddenly getting "Mythic Nectrotic Wake is not yet available" when trying to enter? Happened after maintenance. Did the place just fine on multiple chars yesterday.. some bug with it being an M+ dungeon in TWW maybe?

Unable to farm this at the moment due to Mythic Necrotic Wake being on Season 1 rotation of Mythic Plus for The War Within. If you try to enter, you get the error "Mythic Necrotic Wake is not yet available"

Should be open to farm again on 9/10/24

Dropped for me from a Necrotic Wake +10 on 10/28/24, so I can confirm that it is possible still on keys in The War Within.

Had no idea how rare it was until my party started tripping out and one person offered gold for it.

Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? I'm level 80 wanting to solo-farm for the mount, but when it's set to Mythic the mobs and bosses are all level 80. Why?

This mount is now farmable again in 11.1 and can be done solo no problem. I've only tried it on max level chars, though.

However, it seems there's a camera bug going on, when you reach the Stitchwerks where Surgeon Stitchflesh is.

As soon as you're dropped off by the Kyrian NPC, the camera angle is shifted about 45 degrees, so when you are pressing forward, it looks like you're running left.
Highly frustrating, when you need to aim the hook, or trying to do the achievment for this boss.
The bug persists to the last boss as well, but returns to normal when you port to the entrance or outside the instance.

I've sent a bug report. But most likely not something they will prioritize anytime soon. So it's gonna be a bit frustrating to farm this mount, especially with the low drop rate.

Edit: March 23. - Mount dropped after 37 attempts. So can confirm that it drops again. Good luck to you all. :)

Started farming this again now that it is no longer part of the current mythic dungeon pool and I have noticed these things:

- Camera angle gets bugged after the 2nd boss once you reach the ziggurat, turns to the side and you cant move properly, some abilities like shadowstep and blink fix it but with other classes I have to type /reload
- Despite no longer being part of the mythic dungeon pool, it appears you can now do the dungeon daily, the lockout expired just 24 hours after I first cleared it on all my max level characters and the rarity addon is counting both runs I did on consecutive days

I will update as I do it to confirm if the mount still drops, I am doing at least 15 runs per day

EDIT: Mount dropped for me today! it dropped on my 213th run, I have been running the dungeon with at least 20 different characters a day so I can confirm that even though this dungeon is no longer part of the mythic rotation you can farm the mount daily, provided you are level 80 as below that you do very little damage and the runs take forever, good luck in your farms everyone :)

The best part about finally getting this mount is no longer having to come to this dungeon and ALWAYS have to /reload after the Kyrian fly you up a level and your camera gets bugged in an offset angle.

Got it after 97 attempts over 2 weeks of farming with Collector's Bounty (some attempts may have been before the Bounty buff).

I believe Collector's Bounty is not working in this dungeon, or there might be a bug. This dungeon used to be part of Mythic Plus, so maybe that’s causing the issue.

If Blizzard really added the 5% drop chance from Collector's Bounty, they would have fixed this old camera angle bug that has existed for over 5 months now.

The camera angle gets bugged after the second boss—once you reach the ziggurat, it shifts to the side and makes it hard to move properly. Some abilities like Shadowstep or Blink fix it temporarily, but with other classes, I have to type /reload to fix it.

Here are my attempts so far according to the Rarity addon:

髓牙的缰绳: 109 attempts – 66.56% estimated chance

Don't waste your time farming a buggy dungeon with a broken event.
Just go farm the 永恒黎明 dungeon on Mythic difficulty (without hard mode). You need at least 640 ilvl to beat the 4th boss solo, or you can do it with a friend.
The last boss, 时空领主戴欧斯, drops the 量子骏马的缰绳, which gives you a random mount you don't already own. He gave me 髓牙的缰绳 because it was the only one I was missing.

Does anyone know if the mount drops on mythic for the event Collectors Bounty or if it has to be mythic+? It says the cache only appears on mythic+ but I'm not getting mythic keys from the mythic dungeon. Also the event says it should be obtainable in mythic so I'm uncertain. Thank you for your answer.
