This represented 2.5% of my total damage with vengeance demon hunter on a plaguefall +2 (67K of 2.98M) with max uptime and an incredible total of 12.2% of my healing/defense, more than my Soul Bomb (195K of shield with trinket vs 141K of healing with Soul Bomb), using a 184 ilvl version (M0).
So this is a worth trinket, high damage (more than Grim Codex, a full ofensive trinket) and high survivability, at least for running dungeons.

Honestly, the damage shield from this trinket has allowed me to solo elite stuff that really should be beyond my reach, even as a tank. I want this thing as a permanent spell.

I did freaking 53 runs, sometimes friends helped with tank loot. Did 4 m0 runs.
NOT A SINGLE TIME I SAW A DROP. I saw 3 TIMES two devices dropped.
I dont even know how am i supposed to get better, if THE CORE item i need for progressing is behind some rng crap.

60 M+ runs of DoS, don't have a count on the Mythic 0 level runs, and still no trinket. As a brewmaster there are 11 items on the loot table when you run this dungeon as a key, and I've never seen this trinket drop for myself nor anyone in my party. These attempts include tank spec stacking to possibly have a friend trade the trinket. Nothing.

As a tank, this is your best in slot trinket hands down. The on use aoe damage is great for M+ when setting up a big pull, especially for classes that need a moment or two to set up like Guardian Druids. For raiders, the shield it provides is MASSIVE and can be used as an emergency CD to absorb an incoming attack.

And make no mistake: heading into season 2 almost every DOS key has tanks applying to go after this thing. Don't be surprised to see a 240+ ilvl tank applying for your 5 key if there is no higher key available. And if you're lucky enough to get one, at ANY level, investing valor into it is never going to be a regret.

After 23 runs during season 2, this beauty finally dropped off +10, I strongly advise you to do the first runs of your farm of with +2/+5 runs before doing 10s, 12s or 14s depending on how much valor you are willing to spend on upgrading. Don't lose hope - it will drop :) Good luck!

22 runs since start of S2 so far, 11 of which I've done this week only (because I just love pain and suffering) and still no trinket. Haven't seen it drop in months. Please gods of RNG, hear my call, HALP.

Season 3, here we go again with the grind. Oh boy...

Edit 24/4/2022: I got the trinket a few weeks ago after around 55 runs this time. Season one was lucky week 2 vault, season two was 25ish runs and now significantly more. Don't give up - this trinket is a must for high keys! Terrific help in early aggro build as monk!
