I am half-way convinced that this sword does not exist and is an urban legend. I have never seen one on another character, linked in chat or much less dropping in 2 years.

I have this sword on my warrior, was given to me by a guildie that quit the game. He said it dropped from trash mobs during the opening of AQ Gates.

I stupidly equipped, but I do occasionally use it in Orgrimmar for the looks.

There has been one in the AH on Alliance side on Greymane for the past few weeks. Price started at around 7000 gold, I think it is around 4000 right now. So yes it does exist, and it looks awesome. But if you want the lightsaber look cheaper go for the Argent Avenger.

This has a light saber model, early in wow was often saught after as the rogue weapon to go hemo with. It looks very amazing with a +5 weapon enchant on it.

If you do the baron Rivendare quest to get the Argent lightsaber then it'd be possible to dual wield lightsabers.

Incredibly rare and up until the release of AQ40/Naxx weapons was a real Hemo-spec gem for its 2.9 attack speed (Hemo was not normalized in regards to AP to the 2.4 speed).

Definitely an eye-turner, even if it no longer is the premiere Hemo weapon.

Just to add another comment for rogues. This is one of the slowest main hand swords in the game, and even with the release of TBC if you get this at 60 it should last you a fair amount of time. That is of course if you're swordly inclined. Also, with the release of TBC the price for this thing has dropped. Used to go for up to 1k and I got mine for 200, which is nothing in TBC, you'll probably make that in your first day of outland. Oh, it also procs a fair amount too.

Somehow I managed to find this sword yesterday. It came out of a junkbox off a skeleton that I had pickpocketed in WPL and amazingly enough, this was inside. I didn't even know this sword was still around and have never heard of it coming out of a junkbox. I don't know if Blizz changed something, but I'm not complaining.

WoWWiki states, "This blade was dropped by Lieutenant General Nokhor in Silithus during Gates of Ahn'Qiraj event. It is now unobtainable." Well, that's not exactly true, but it may be partially true. I had one on my mage ~2 years ago, around when the AQ quest line was introduced.

I didn't find it myself, I bought it off the auction house for 1500g and ended up reselling it for a little over 3000 (after many tries for 5000+, but this was when a thousand gold actually meant something).

If I remember correctly, the person that placed it on the auction house was the guild bank alt of one of the leading PvE guilds, and I believe they said they got it while farming the elite Dragonkin in Seradane in Hinterlands for The Nightmare's Corruption quest ( http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=8735 ). So maybe the item was finally put into loot tables around when AQ was put into the game. I have a hard time believing lvl 52 mobs can be pickpocketed for it, but it wouldn't surprise me if it still dropped.

This has nothing to do with the AQ questline. Any pre-BC mob from Lv 62-63 may drop it but the chance is exceedingly low. Those large creatures who spawned in SIlithis during the AQ opening just had a vastly increased "epic" drop rate over other mobs.

His droprate for Teebu's is only 20% because of the very low FIVE times Wowhead has recorded a drop for General Nokhor. I can assure you that the item is just so very rare that Wowhead has in fact only recorded it drop once. It's shown up more than that, including a very old and widely-distributed screenshot from Molten Core in 2005 where it dropped, but only on Wowhead this one time. Sorry to burst your bubble.

This looks very cool with a blue-ish enchant, unfortunately there is no pure blue one (icy is white) like Fiery Weapon is pure red, thus Argent Avenger with a fiery weapon looks AWESOME (red flames coming off the handle, blue flames coming off the tip, and purple-ish in the middle), however I don't think it's possible to obtain the same type of glow with Teebu's. I wish I had this sword ;D, if anyone ever does get it they should spend lots of gold testing enchants, and then obtain Argent Avenger, because even though I would kill someone in the BG out of laughter because they were wearing this and envy mainly, it'd look imba.

Grats to everyone that got it, it's an amazing treat, one of the rarest items in the game period.

All the drop reports of this sword that ive read are from silithus, believe or not i got this sword from Eastern Plaguelans. i was trying to lvl my Lockpicking by pick pocketing boxes from elite mobs from this one place called Tyers hand. Unfortunately i didnt take a screenshot when i got it. and bwt it was inside one of the many boxes that i got.

I have a warrior on Proudmoore that is a master swordsman and for me a sword collector. I was able to find someone who had this item drop for him just recently and I bought it. I am now waiting to transfer the item to my warrior on Proudmoore (Barangard).

This sword is a real shame. A long time ago, before the time of Burning Crusade and Patch 2.4.0 and MgT, you had a Teebu's and you were the top dog of Stormwind and Orgrimmar. But nowadays, people have things like Gladiator gear and nobody notices, because chances are you can find at least 100 other players on that server with the same gear.

Apart from having something REALLY awesome like a Legendary or Frostmourne if it ever comes out in WotLK, level70s are nothing uncommon.

I wonder what it looks like enchanted with Icy Weapon. Would it be half ice, half fire, or would that ruin the whole thing?

It makes it white with icey opposite to avengers becomes white with fiery.
Opposite to that, putting fiery on teebus and +4 damage on avenger will make it the same color but glow extremly strong.
With purple it just has a purple inside tint.
With spell power it becomes a yellowish orange.
With mongoose and executioner look at the pictures above.
( i havnt tried agility yet, when i do i'll edit this)

Also on a side note, im installing it on my new computer from the website and it has a tooltip of it being held by a dwarf called Hammerfall. I think its really interesting that the stats used to be

It sounds like you did not attend the AQ gate opening events in Silithus. All of the bosses there required a large number of people to kill and were only available for a few hours. The bosses did indeed drop epics all of the time, and the epics were indeed world BoEs. I did not witness a Teebu's drop myself, but did see an Alcor's Sunrazor, Cloudkeeper Legplates, a Lady Maye's Pendant, and two Hand of Edward the Odds drop, to name what I can recall. The drop rate for a Teebu's from the Lieutenant could very well have been 20% or close to it.

If you were on an epic quest to obtain this sword, your absolute best bet would be a server whose Ahn Qiraq gates are not yet opened (if such a server is ever opened these days) and prepare a raid to farm these mobs until the event is over.

The only other time I've heard of this sword dropping was for a horde guild some time during early pre-Burning Crusade, in which they received the drop from Molten Core or Onyxia (which KingDarius confirms).

This is arguably the rarest item in the game which is exacerbated by the difficulty of farming for it. From what I recall, this is one of the few if not the only level 60 required world bind on equip, pre-BC.

The sword is pretty rare. Unfortunately it only has a high value to collector's either for it's lore/old-content rarity or for it's looks (which are now technically replicated on a bc weapon).

Incidentally, I have one on Rexxar that I'm willing to part with. Whisper/mail Zanella on Horde side if interested.

Item still drops from time to time. Every 1-2 months you can see a sale offer on Battleground Forums, ranging from 2k g to 35k g (don't ask...), because people think some twinks will buy this weapon.

My rogue is 55, so the mob I pickpocketed it from would have to have been lvl 57 or under. I kinda zoned out when I opened the box to find that, it took me a while to get back to reality =P Too bad it isn't worth nearly as much as it use to, but it's nice to find one I guess.

Collectors like it for its unique in game look. For those who describe it like a lightsaber, they are wrong. The glow effect shows a blazing fire, not a sharp light effect, but a fuzzy flame. It's more like an enchanted sword without the blade.

The tooltip shows that its main damage source is physical.
From the wrong concept we can argue that wasn't intentionally make this a collector item, the developers didn't put more care than any other old epic. Its rarity just reflect the old WoW days, as original concept where epics were effectively hard to find and obtain.

I am not sure on this matter but it seems it could be correct, if you enchant Teebu's Blazing Longsword with Icy Chill, you will end up with the exact same "blade" as Blade of Wizardry.

Currently I am trying to get a hold of Teebu's Blazing Longsword in order to dual-wield them, They would be twin blades.

I think what the original poster fails to realize is that it's an effing LIGHTSABER! Just imagine some Gnome running at you duel weilding this and the argent avenger, doing crazy flips as he crits on you, looking like master yoda. That's just priceless. I mean, imagine the possibilities! Undead Warlock shooting lightening out of his hands against a Gnome Rogue with this?

Since none of the comments here have mentioned it yet, I wanted to note that this sword actually generates a light source, much like the offhand lanterns and torches. Most weapons that "glow" are fully visible in the dark, but they don't actually illuminate the surrounding area. Not so with this weapon -- it casts a warm light onto your character, nearby walls and objects, etc.

Not sure how it works on taller races, but on my gnome character, the sheathed sword lights up the underside of her shoulder armor and the faceplate of her helmet. The effect is quite striking, especially in dark areas.

I think the Azure Lightblade(think that's it" from Outland questing provides a light source as well. I think it does so because of how bright it is they probably thought it needed to show on the terrain near you.

As this item resembles a lightsaber, it might have been inspired by the Star Wars character "Teebo". But he was an Ewok and probably wouldn't know a lightsaber from a pointy stick. (Though he is rumoured to be Force-sensitive).

This sword is very unique, not just because it's super rare or a lightsaber but because it is the only weapon in the game which keeps poison. I put poisons on this sword and the graphic of poison dripping off of it stays even after the poison expires. It's been dripping for days now without poison, and it's not just my computer because multiple people have confirmed it's still dripping.

Does anyone know what enchant I need to put on the Teebu sword to make the Red/Orange glow more Red/Orange?

I placed Blade Ward on my Adrent avenger and it made it more blue so I got that one right.

I tried putting executioner and Blade ward on Teebu but it made it whitish. I want it to be a pure red/orange glow much like the pic submitted by MightyKomos back in 11/15/2009 wherein the Blade Ward enchant was still red. (It was changed to blue)

Here's an idea, roll a gnome rogue, then level him up. Once you get the longsword, wait till you can get to Onyxia and grab all the gear that Liuv has from "The Grind" and then get something like the argent avenger and call him Darth Vader. (Probably the best one to get is going to be spellfire longsword.)

Years of playing and today is first time I saw it in the auction house.
I looked it up on wowhead and it says the buyout is usually 5,000g.

So considering the one in my auction house is selling for 4500g, I thought
"not a bad deal", so I went to buy it, but it said I did not have enough gold.
I thought that is strange, I have considerably more than 4500g.
Then I looked at the price more closely and saw it is for sale for 45,000g.

If you like the look of this sword but don't want to spend alot of gold here are
some swords with the same or similar looks that are easier to get.

1. Very Light Sabre (level 3 quest item, you have to be gnome to get)
2. Spellfire Longsword (drops 19% of the time off of Mennu the Betrayer)
3. Blade of Wizardry (shows up in the AH from time to time. I bought one for about 250g).
4. Electrified Blade (have not been able to find a site that says how to get this).

I've been farming MC for Sulfuras for only about 3 weeks now, and at first I started killing all the trash, but realized it takes way too long. Only kill whatever I end up running in to now, and even when I do I just keep going and don't worry about loot, considering it's, at best, going to be a a Fiery/Lava core or a BoE that sells for maybe 20g. Anyways, got jumped by a Molten Giant right where the hallway starts on your way to Gehennas. Go figure, he hits me and one of my weapons break. I drop a repair bot so I can repair and be on my merry way. I go to interact with the bot but mis-click and accidentally loot the corpse. As Teebu's Blazing Longsword flashes quickly, I actually thought I was seeing things. Open my bag, and it's sitting there, staring back at me.

What.
Lesson of the day: loot all corpses, no matter how much junk they drop.
Now. Should I sell it, or re-roll mage and spec fire?...

I was duoing BWD with a guildmate earlier this week, and was astonished to see this drop. I put it up on the AH for 100,00g just to see if anyone would bite. A day later I got a mail offering 50k, which I promptly accepted.

I have to say, with 4.3 coming out the desire for people to look unique seems to be overwhelming them. This sword is so incredibly rare that it would be likely that if you transmog this, you may never see anyone else with one, ever.

Congrats to anyone that finds one, transmogrification has probably increased this item in value 10x.

This quite possibly has the best model in game for a sword. I managed to obtain one of these recently while working on my third insane in the membrane character and I had to do a double take because I could have swore my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Teebu's Blazing Longsword is an EXTREMELY rare item since the dawn of World of Warcraft. It is one of the first featured epics in the game as it was displayed on the Original WoW packaging. It was held by a Dwarf who was being attacked by a Yeti in Winterspring.

The AH Price listing on WoWhead is moreorless appropriate. The item really is worth what it is to the person selling it. Some will get rid of it for as low as 2k gold, others ask as high as 300k. It seems preposterous (that you would pay so much for a 60 BOE Epic) but the item has an incredible amount of history and is usually sought after by Collecters and people who want incredibly unique Transmorg sets.

It is completely unique in design and even though there are few items with similar looking templates Teebu's is in a field of its own in terms of Rarity. Happy hunting!

Now that people are really starting to understand the whole "main hand" "one-hand" distinction, I'm guessing the price on this item is going to really skyrocket. This is the only lightsaber-type weapon that most melee classes will be able to use because it's "one-handed".

After doing the Ravenholdt exalted grind 7 times in hopes to get this sword, it finally dropped this morning from a Heavy Junkbox. That confirms that it is still in the game, and is indeed available from those boxes. Now, I heard caster swords can't be transmog'd by rogues, that's really unfortunate. I was hoping to get the Spellfire Longsword and use that as well as this. Sucks that I never got the other one from the old EPL quests.

I have one of these on the Nesingwary-US realm, Alliance side. I have been trying to sell it and received a ban on the official WoW forums and MMO-Champion for attempting to sell it. Not even for real money, but just for in game gold. I don't see what the problem is. Is there really no website (that is somewhat legit) for people to attempt to sell their rare items?

I didnt even know this existed in game. Very cool looking sword. I was Farming all of the BOP glove enchants in AQ20 and 泽兰上校 dropped it i almost didnt loot the mob because i was on a solo speed run for the bosses that drop the enchants. Very rare, very sought out item, if you are lucky enough to see one, i highly suggest selling it for atleast 100k, i was lucky enough to buy one for 20k from a person who didn't know its true value. I used it on my alt DK and never regretted it.

Many people will say "oh 100k blah blah no one will pay that much", my answer to that is yes they will, anyone who says they won't is just too jelly or too poor to afford one for them self.

One more thing, if you plan on farming this, DONT. The odds of ever getting this item to drop let alone see one is so so so so so low, it's really not worth your time.

I just now transmogged this sword onto an LFR Souldrinker lololol. I also transmogged the Skullflame Shield onto a Corrupted Carapace. I transmogged the Lawbringer 8 piece onto the rest of my pally tanking set armor. What fun!

This sword amazingly illuminates its surroundings in red.

It looks downright awesome with gear like the HC version of Death Knight T11 or Warrior T12. It makes the gear appear brighter and almost shiny.

So far data has only been collected on 10 mobs that drop this item, 7 of the listed ones being in MC. I think part of the problem is the sample size is so small. People are always farming MC, but not BWL or AQ by comparison. With the recent addition of pets dropping in the old lvl 60 raids, I think we're going to see a small influx of these. Since the release of 5.0/5.1 I've seen at least 2 listed in the AH, whereas it's been 2 years since my last eyes on sighting of one.

Like with any item, the more people farming what drops the item, the more data will be collected for said item. I would encourage those who got one to drop to say more than "I got one," say WHICH raid you were in, and WHAT MOB dropped it for you please. It's my belief each lvl 60 raid has an equal chance to drop the sword, it's simply not being reported equally. I scooped one up today after seeing it sitting in the AH for a week, taunting me. I think the rarity of this makes people forget they exist, just like shadowfang. A guy had TWO listed for a few days, and kept relisting them for 100k. With people assuming certain items are either removed, or "tall tales" since no one ever sees one, even the uptick of old world farming will still see these items still having a limited collector market. Im trying to farm the sword and i made a rouge to pickpocket heavy junkboxes, i opened like 500 or more but still no teebu, i calculated and to have 100 procent chance drop u need to open like 10500 junkboxes.. i farmit the mobs from blackwing lair but u cant reset if u make the first boss ..so anyone a better idea to get this sword? dont want to buy it and now is not posted on ah on my server

I wanna ask u if anyone know if the sword can drop from aquiraj on quiraj gladiators the 2 mobs that respawn instantly..didnt saw and read if anyone get a sword from this mobs but i have like 0 chance i dont mind just to know i can farm it at these guys is so easy to kill...i killed like 5000 mobs in less then 2 h ..:d

Does currently look like the blade's animation is bugged. Only breaths of light are coming out, instead of a constant flow to be a "blade".

So I've had this thing in my bank for a while and just today did I discover that it is worth a lot of gold. All I remember about getting it was that it looked cool, It was in MC, and since i'm a hoarder I kept it. But since i'm a hunter and have no real use for it I plan on making some serious gold.

Almost 8 years I've wanted this, I still remember in 04' being a 13 year old and seeing the sword inside the box. It's almost surreal to own it I'm unsure if I'll use it or just hold on to it..regardless I jumped on it for 30k and couldn't be happier. It's an item of antiquity for sure..and if you're like me you'd pay out the ass for a piece of WoW.

When this thing first dropped from a trash mob during a MC run, I thought I had struck it rich. I thought this was worth like 75k. A month later, I can't even sell it for 25k (I'm on one of the highest pop US servers... yet no one is interested/people just buy the Blade of Wizardry instead)

EDIT; Finally sold it for 26k. One of my guildies says this goes for over 100k on EU servers and usually 60-70k US. No way of verifying that, but damn people were just not willing to pay for a classic xmog on my server. -_-

Can I help by confirming this as a drop? Me and my Gf were just doing MC with two of us and we found 'Bindings of the Wind Seeker" (we were like WOOOOOW LEGENDARY) and this (we were like "Oh cool it's another lightsaber like the Spellblade Longsword, that's nice. I have a lightsaber already, you can have this. Hey what's the droprate anyways? ... O.O *heart attack*). So yeah we had a good run.

I was wondering why the heck this was on the Auction House for 8000 gold, when it used to be 50,000 gold or more. There's 4 of them on there right now, people are getting them from salvage crates... The legend is indeed over.

This is the first epic weapon you saw when you purchased World of Warcraft during release days, because it was right on the game box, and you also probably looked at it while your game was installing.

It is one of the very few "lightsabers" in this game.

I didn't start playing til wotlk, and am sad to miss out on things like the polar bear cub and original zul' raid mounts etc. It took me 9 months to get my first toon to northrend because WoW was also my first computer game played EVER. However, while some things I believe they should make available in other ways... salvage crates... and the now high drop rates of long time rares diminishes them in my mind. I think they could make them available in another way for people who didn't start earlier, but they don't have to cheapen them. They could increase the drop rate, even a little, without making very rares, common. Same with some of the hunter pets. They make everything far too easily available to anyone who doesn't put in the effort and that I think is irritating. Not all of us play just for the next raid and consuming all the new content in two months.

One of the things I love is building my own sets of gear and weapons... would take huge joy out of the game if everyone could easily build the same set. I think by taking all the challenge out of acquiring these things, it lends to the sit in the city and whine mentality of a lot of players. It takes the great feeling of accomplishment away.

This item has been one of the most sought after items in the entire game since Vanilla. It has a unique lightsaber-esque flaming glow and is incredibly hard to find in Vanilla raids.

Since Warlords of Draenor, the item can be found, albeit very rarely, inside 一大箱回收物资. This makes the item more easy to come by and cheaper to buy.

Despite this, it is still one of the rarest, aesthetically pleasing items in the game. That of course is an opinion, but its value still holds to the thousands.

Decided to list the items with a 'lightsaber' look since the 'same model as' tab isn't listed or isn't complete.
I've listed them by transmogable level:

BLUE
1. 轻灵佩剑 lvl 1 侏儒 quest reward.
  Survives both faction and race changes!
2. 魔焰长剑 lvl 62 dungeon drop.
RED
1. 提布的炽炎长剑 lvl 60 incredibly rare drop.
2. 巫术之刃 lvl 70 rare drop.
  Is a brighter red.

Just wanted to inform you all, incase if most of you did not know this, but the teebu sword dropped today in a 5-Man Group Farming
Farming one of the twilight base camps in Silithus.

Friend told us about this spot that has hyperspawns and another that good items could drop, the one question all of us had was, could teebus blazing longsword actually drop here? (we were wondering because there was a picture with someone getting it in silithus)

Well after farming them for a bit, it started off with one of the guys getting Exalted Harness, and a bit later, one of the farming members got the teebus blazing longsword from one of the twilight mobs, not sure which one of the mobs actually dropped it since we were mass pulling and killing them as much as possible b4 looting after around 90 Seconds.

Ive posted a video in the suggestion box, if it gets approved you can see it there.
The one who recieved it is a lvl 110 lock (the mobs scale to your lvl/ilvl or something like that, because apparently their HP was different for him as a 110 than the most of us that was 110.

You can see the looting of the item itself in the chatbox, and a bit later appearing on the LAC challenge (i did not recieve it myself)

But i thought that i would come here, and post this, incase there were others that are after this sword and are tired of farming BWL and other farms where it can drop.

**Update** I wrote this message a few hours ago, but didnt wanna post it until maybe a 2nd one decided to drop, and yes o yes it did drop a 2nd time, and it was for me, it took about another 2½ hours for me to recieve it, will go back to farming the mobs tomorrow and can update you again if another drops

One of the most unbeliveable things just happened to me.

I was farming in winterspring, with LFG up, and a girl joined. I posted for rare boes - legplates - farm in winterspring, but she asked me if that place could drop teebu sword.

I heard about that item before, vaguely. I entered in wowhead to see loot table and found that teebu was a ultra expensive purple boe, ultra rare as well. I said to her that could drop with an impossible chance. She left, and i left soon after as well.

I closed the game, and page for teebu was open, i read about it, and ended in a video about silithus farm of this sword. I tried to farm silithus before but I was confused about new lv scaling system, went with my friend to silithus while leveling a lv 58 toon specifically to see if anything usefull drop, but mobs dropped ONLY twilight clothes and text. Not a single grey item beyond that (more than 200 kills in lvs 58-59).

Then, i saw a video about how good the farm was after scaling. Even at 110 u could drop glorious, vanguard and even teebu.

I relogued into the game, curious because I strongly believed that mobs could not drop anything at all after 7.2 changes. Got my lv 110 druid, went to silithus and killed outer circle of cultists (lv60), just to see a single green drop. Nothing.

In order to make then respawn, I looked to inner circle, and in the video, the youtuber said that were lv 110 mobs must be killed to make the respawn faster, but they were actually lv 60 mobs as well (!), then i killed one and... TEEBU SWORD! ... Astonished. Barely heard about that one and just dropped after 30 seconds of "farm"

Im yet to see this mobs drop a green piece, but im sure im gonna farm this towmorrow!

Putting the Breath of Yu'lon illusion from Tome of Illusions: Pandaria on this weapon turns it mostly green, awesome if you're going for more of a fel look. Additionally, Illusion: Mending makes it much more vibrant. Overall, an awesome weapon to transmog.

First time farming silithus (went alone) and I got this drop! Looks like it's pretty rare; I think I'll hold onto it for awhile. As of today, it's still obtainable as a world drop!

The quick facts say the buyout for this is 1.2 mil. Has anyone been able to sell this for that price? I had one to drop a while back, and I keep putting it up on the AH from anywhere around 500k - 900k. It always keeps getting sent back to me with no buyers.

Been farming MC/BWL for mog pieces for ever, because Blizz somehow thinks its funny to put old content on very low drop rates, running about 13 toons weekly, and on one of the Molten Giants the Teebus Blazing longsword drops, wasn't even considering this item to drop, was hoping for Blade of Hanna actually.
