I got this today from the a Data Anomaly summoned for the Discs of Norgannon quest.

Today I got quest from item dropped for me which was 大型存储碎片 which gives 45 reputation once complete with 锈栓抵抗军, this seems to drop from any mob in Mechagon when event is active, I delivered it to R33-DR and did fight a data anomaly ( meathook ) which dropped for me 黑胶唱片：诺莫瑞根之战

I killed a few Data Anomalies today, received a Blueprint from them, then I went on to do my dailies. My last one required to summon and kill a Data Anomaly, so I did just that and it dropped this item. So it seems you can keep farming them until you get it.

I've been farming the Vynil for over 5 hours now. Did they do anything to the drop rate for this ?

just got this today from an elite data anomoly on my sixth or so elite kill of the day. not sure what this means as far as the data anomoly nerf

评论来自 Djuntas

Killed like 40-50 of them now, no drop. Maybe they nerfed this ? I farm other people's summons, I try tag them first, warmode on or off tried both.

My 4th time farming this. Each time it was up I spent 8 to 10 hrs. I have everything else just need this item... Getting very frustrated as now groups aren't doing it. The last time and this it is just me.

Today this finally dropped for me on data anamoly. Either Blizzard fixed it, or I got lucky - My 3rd kill of the data (A shadow priest alliance summoned an elite 1.7 mil hp) and it dropped.

Interestingly there are 10 different anomalies ( https://www.wowhead.com/search?q=data+anomaly ) but only 7 seem to have a drop of the item recorded.

Can anyone help me out on how this works.

I have been farming this for hours and have killed most of the elites but I am still getting spare parts and other drops from non elites

So my question is can I just spam farm it and hope it drops or does it only come from elites. If it does I have been wasting my time so I am still confused. I have gotten Cinderhide Armsplints from one of the ones I am farming I am just confused in the sense if I should just be killing the elites.

If you are trying to get 图纸：全息数字化中继器 or 黑胶唱片：诺莫瑞根之战, then I recommend you try looting:

They're lootable only when the daily event 诺甘农的圆盘 is active, they drop from certain adds, 鲍尔·涉塘者, and the daily recycling loot box quest in Mechagon, so for more details check out each quest item. So don't try farming to loot the quest items if 诺甘农的圆盘 isn't active.

For information as too which Rare gets summoned depending on item, then check out DRAGONKIN450's comment on the 图纸：全息数字化中继器 comment section, he did a great job explaining it. Just remember that you can only loot 1 rare per quest item. Some quest items may summon multiple rare, but you only get to loot the first rare you kill from the quest item.

Finally, I recommend if you do pick up any of the four quest items, accept each individual quest (not at the same time), kill the rare, then ABANDON the quest. Abandoning the quest will let you keep the quest item in your bag and re-accepting it again EVERY DAY until you unlock either 图纸：全息数字化中继器 or 黑胶唱片：诺莫瑞根之战.

And don't forget 黑胶唱片：诺莫瑞根之战 may also drop from 钢铁歌手弗莉萨, so kill her once everyday to increase your chances at the disc.

Good luck all.

It just dropped from Steel Singer Freza today on 02 Aug 2020 after roughly 110 kills!

I have all the items to summon the 4 rares that have a good chance of dropping this one.
Hit me up if this is the last one you need for the achievement. I can summon it for you on EU for a small tip. zeyn#2795

2025: If you're farming the Mecha-Done achievement -

- You DO have to turn in the Discs of Norgannon quest FIRST, then go and kill mobs for the other discs to spawn the data anomalies.
- Discs can drop from regular mobs - I went to kill some troggs to try and spawn Boggac Skullbash and got a cracked cylinder immediately from a group of regular troggs near the cave where he spawns. Vinyl was looted on first data anomaly spawn. So bear in mind, you DO NOT necessarily have to kill elites to get these discs.

This one indeed dropped for me from 钢铁歌手弗莉萨. Since this was the last disc I was needing and the quest 诺甘农的圆盘 wasn't up today AGAIN, I didn't expect to have any luck very soon.
So if your're farming for discs, you should head to this mob and try you luck, even if it's really small compared to the "normal" sources of them.

A few suggestions for those farming this to finish for Mecha Done for A Farewell to Arms. It now drops from Steel Singer Freza, which now respawns once every 20-30m, and you can kill once per day. While farming, look for the daily quest Discs of Norgannon, which was the original drop source. It is worth noting that AFTER completing Discs of Norgannon, for the rest of that day you can get Large Storage Fragment, Rust Covered Disc, Scorched Data Disc, and Cracked Numeric Cylinder, each of which spawn special Data Anomalies. I recommend getting each of those, they drop relatively quickly after completing Discs of Norgannon. Each of them starts a quest, which you can use daily, provided you do not complete the quest, and abandon it after killing the associated Data Anomaly, this will give you an additional four chances at the drop per day as each of those also has a chance for the drop.

I'll confirm this still drops from Steel Singer Freza while Discs of Norgannon was up. Good luck everyone!

I just completed this. My neighborhood currently has the Mechagon endeavor and so I work on Mecha-Done while completing tasks for the endeavor. I got 锈废漂移者的锈蚀钥匙 the last time my neighborhood had this endeavor, so it kind of seems like the drop rate for some of these things is increased during the endeavors, or else I just have good luck.

After trying for too long, I finally got it! First I finished Disc of Norgannon, then I went and killed Steel Singer Freza and it dropped from her.
