How would you feel if a powerful being summoned you for their battle pets to ride on you?
I'm about as cranky as the crab. My first purchase with dubloons. I had a pet out, then used the toy. The crab and the pet ran side by side. I dismissed that pet, thinking perhaps I should have used the toy first, and resummoned a new pet. They both ran side by side. I thought. .maybe I need to be mounted. Nope, they ran beside me, separately. Maybe water? Nope. The crab disappeared for a few minutes, then reappeared. Maybe it needs a humanoid pet? Summoned each type of pet. Nobody got to ride the cranky crab. Now I'm a cranky girl without 200 dubloons.
Worth noting that to use this item, and have it work properly, you need to summon a non-combat pet, click the non-combat pet, then use the crab. Otherwise it will just spawn next to you like a second non-combat pet crab and your pet will not get on it.
Yep, pretty much a Dubloon dump. Brought Unna out and she did get on the crab, but she stood on it, it didn't keep up with me very well while I was mounted & despawns too quickly or if it trails too far behind. VERY disappointed. If you want a good mount for 1 "pet" do the Argent Tournament in Icecrown. Get the squire and then pick up a mount for him. He also can serve as a bank, mailbox, or vendor every 4 hours or so & only for a brief time, but at least he RIDES that horse.
does not work on this crab despite it's seething anger.
My guild page was looking tired so I gave him a cranky crab to ride on and fed him a pet biscuit. It was amusing.
A pair of macros to use with the Cranky Crab.
Macro #1 summons a battle pet (using Tottle in my example) then highlights its name to make it easier to see.
/script SetCVar("UnitNameNoncombatCreatureName", 1)
In macro #2 you mouseover the summoned pet (or you can just select it), use the Cranky Crab pet, then toggle off the battle pet names.
/use Cranky Crab
/script SetCVar("UnitNameNoncombatCreatureName", 0)
Doesn't work. Pets do not mount it.
