Do you need to be 120 to disenchant? Cause i tried at 110, and just got nothing, and gear gone...

As someone who is not an inscriptionist and needs to provide mats for enchants, how would I acquire Gloom Dust?
After scrapping over 500 items, I have received exactly 1 Gloom Dust.
The enchants my friend is making for me are 10 per.
Advice?

Gloom's Dust is mainly acquired by disenchanting green BfA items, and (in lower amounts and less reliably) by scrapping items.

4-9 dust are received per item
It is not necessary to be level 120 or have BfA-Enchanting to disenchant those level 110-120 BfA items. I could disenchant them with my lvl 85 char and her Cataclysm-level Enchanting skill just fine
While using the scrapper, you have the highest chance to get Gloom Dust by disenchanting wands.

Am I the only one that wishes there was a way to make these into 幽界碎片, as has been possible in previous Expansions?
I wouldn't be that bothered if it meant using more Dust to make Shards than was available from shattering a Shard... the option would be nice.
