This staff is the Artifact for Discipline Priests.
This staff is the result of the Scarlet Crusade attempting to forge a second Ashbringer. Things went awry, and this chaotic, yet powerful, weapon is the result.
You can read a short background on this weapon on the

Sadly, worst looking Artifact weapon in Legion, but hope is still here ;d
This weapon doesn't resemble the Scarlet Crusade at all. I must agree with Raziosx partially.
It could be improved upon heavily. At the very least,
give it an appearance that ACTUALLY has some resemblance to the Scarlet Crusade, at least their symbol on it.
Could I transmogrify this to look like my
Put this in a macro to open up your artifact weapon talent tree directly:
If you reset your artifact weapon (the talents/traits) you DONT lose any artifact power except for the artifact power you pay for the reset!
Recorded it myself.
I've noticed a glowy swirly visual effect seems to accumulate about the priest after time spent in game and (I presume) actively casting spells with this staff equipped. This starts at the feet and (as far as I've seen) increases in radiance and starts to cause glittery light effects around the body.
Once I unequipped Light's Wrath the effect immediately went away. Pretty neat!
For anyone interested I've mapped my staff proc
to my Weak Auras so that I notice right away when it procs, just in case I accidentally use my staff without realising it's procced.
It pops up with a shiny texture, and makes a loud noise so you can't miss it.
This is the code:
Does anyone know what the flavor text refers to?
Not bad at all. The only thing that makes me sad is slap an arcane sticker on this sucker and it's Aluneth, literally no difference in the attainment quests at all.
Ok, so this might be considered a stupid question, but I cannot find the answer anywhere. I have the Lights Wrath activated as I am a discipline priest, and am wondering how to activate the second part of the weapon. In one screenshot I viewed it showed an extra part of the weapon, but on mine it is not there. Uploading screenshots so you will know what I am referring to.
Functionally in terms of lore this is ashbringer 2.0, an attempt by the Scarlet Crusade to create a second weapon of intense holy and fire power, and for the most part they succeeded. The catch is this one doesn't need to stab a good person to go dark and shadowy, it's that way by default. It's a weapon of intense power with fire, light, and void energy all intertwined and working together to help protect your allies and annihilate your enemies, anyone wielding this weapon is walking an extremely fine line, and I think it is very fitting for discipline spec.
If, like me, you want a more obvious notification that this has proc'd, there is an addon available that tells you. I know someone has already created a code for Weak Auras, but not everyone uses that.
There are a number of NPCs in the game that will comment on a class weapon. For the Light's Wrath, it's the
"Light's Wrath, I thought it lost..."
Alonsus will not give me quest for Light's Wrath. It's the only artifact weapon I am missing since I worked on shadow and holy first. I can't find quest anywhere can someone help.
If anyone's (still) wondering, if you transmog any Light's Wrath version onto your normal weapon, you will receive the glow effect and buff
Overloaded with Light
over time. It's just cosmetic, but still nice to have :)
