The herbs of Legion, they can also be grown by seeds in Fertile Soil.
I can't get over how incredibly
this plant is. Lookit the fluffy tail!
can this be found in any zone ? Or is there 1 zone in particular
A cute thing with this herb is that you have the chance the summon a friendly

Got to love early expansion AH prices. 100g for 1 Foxflower or 1000g to finish a blacksmithing quest, LOL. Looks like I'm going to level my profession alt earlier than I thought.
I've been looking all over for these crazy little, and so adorable, flowers in Highmountain. For some reason it just seems that these herbs are far and few in-between. However, I found a really wonderful place to farm these. They are literally everywhere up at the
northern most tip of Highmountain in Shipwreck Cove
Plus, there is the added perk that those little murlocks up there are very easy to take down, and they are considered humanoid! This means that the ones you
to 'take out' will also
have a chance to drop cloth
to either sell on the auction house or send to a tailoring friend/alt!
The fox will leave the flowers there for you until you collect them all, so if you still see them you missed one. Just keep running over them.
It drops about 20 flowers, give or take.
Swear to god this stuff is rarer than rocking horse ****
Found the best area to farm these is along the northern coast.
FYI, the flowers dropped by the fox can be picked up from stealth. So if you are worried about chasing it into mobs, just stealth beforehand.
These herbs in particular are really few and far in between. It's the fox spawning that makes them worth it in the long run. Foxflowers seem to be required by many professions.
60 of those is indirectly required for Alchemy quest
to make 15x
each), so if you run Alch/Herb it's good to keep 60 of those until you finish the quest.
The dropped flowers can be picked up by everyone, it seems. I'm not a herbalist and was just riding my mount in Highmountain and suddenly received 4x Foxflower. I must have ran over someone else's flowers.
Does anyone else, after picking a plant, hang around that extra 1-2 seconds hoping for a fox howl ?
Does anyone else find it strange that there is no tab for "gathered from"? Almost as if they can't be gathered by herbalists. Wowhead get your info right!
This flower is not notably based on any plant in particular though several have 'fox' in their title in real life.
One of the
life plants which has fox in it's name,
to a lethal degree.
More likely a reference to a lot of grass species that have a "

You can use
to pick the
without having to bother fighting Murlocs. If the
shows up you will have to leave vehicle to pick up the flowers.
Majestic Elderhorn Hoof
is very useful for a temporary boost to mount speed while farming in Highmountain.
I created this video guys on my best route that I take to farm Foxflowers in Highmountain:
I hope this tip helps!
I also guessing Blizz nerfed this area since they're so damn good at screwing up anything that helps, other than making everything else so unbelievably easy (leveling, riding, crafting professions, etc.) it's like - when do they implement the automatic reach around every time you log in....but that's another story. I ran in to this butt scab when doing the blacksmith quest. Followed the suggestion and went to the shipwreck. There were "a few" near the clackers and a sparse amount in the murloc's but "everywhere"? Not a chance. the murloc's are also NOT cute and cuddly and as with every expansion since BC when I started, you have 1 murloc you have a hundred...up your keister that is...they don't have a lot of health, around 600K as I remember, but when you have 4 or 5 on you at every node, you get to hate the little wobbly fart bubbles all over again. For all that is holy, STOP the nerfs! Some of us don't have 21 hours a day to play WOW and would like to progress a little faster than frozen snail crap running up hill in a snow storm!
For those of you, like me, who don't like to play with sound on, all you have to have selected in order to hear the fox spawn is enable sound, and dialog. Good luck all.
Somehow Blizzard knows what the fox says
Hold alot of competitions for my friends and guildies, and sometimes i run into neat spots i find.
Found a small area farming foxflower with serverhop, no need for u to watch the whole video if you dont like to, but if u pause it a few seconds in, you can see the area i am talking about.
I used server hop for this farm, and are currently at only rank 1.

It seems like they reduced the nodes, but increased the per-node yield for the flower. Gathering 1 Foxflower node has yielded me 2-3 at times.
I don't see it mentioned anywhere here, so it's worth mentioning, especially with flying now out for alts.
You must be at least level 98 to pick any Legion herbs.
Anyone else have the issue with a node right around cords 50.80, 67.47 (a little outside Nels lair, on the snow banks) with the mini-map showing a node spawn but there being no actual node? I mean I have to figure its buried under the snow banks there and it's inaccessible, but the node still shows. A little false glimmer.
Beautiful flower <3 My favourite!
