How to use the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera:

When 自拍神器 is clicked on, it opens a special camera mode. Your character makes faces at the camera, just like an IRL selfie, with their arm extending off the screen.

The UI for taking a selfie is similar to the familiar Vehicle UI, with one button to snap a picture and 3 others with the selfie filters.

Your character can still perform emotes while in the selfie UI, which can make for some awesome photos.

And don't forget, with Twitter integration, you can now easily tweet out your in-game selfies.

I'll never understand why people are so salty about this. It's something fun they're adding to the game.
There's still wonderful raid progression, even if it is just in different tiers of difficulty instead of actually changing raids to progress.
Not even Blizzard is THAT serious anymore. I don't really think anyone else should be, either.
They're finding a happy balance between the casual people who play for fun, and the hardcore raiders that do a 4th of a raid in a week.
And, I'm going to be quite excited about taking selfies with all the people I annihilate in bgs.
So, BRING ON THE SELFIE CAMERA.

As absurd as it may sound - this addition is a good example why WoW is where it is and no game seems close to taking the top MMO spot. Why? It's the about the sheer amount of content and amount of things to do. Exploration? Run around the whole world for the Explorer title. Pets? Run around the whole world cause you gotta catch'em all. SELFIE? Run around the whole world for another title.

Do you have to do it? No. But you can. And that is the catch.

This is so rad. The majority of the people upset about it are the same ones that trash people who take selfies IRL to make themselves feel superior. It's completely OPTIONAL, so if you don't like it, don't do it. I can't wait to get in game so I can take selfies IRL of myself taking selfies in game. What a time to be alive!

Just for clarification, to get the starter camera you need to get the mission at the table? Is it a rare mission? :( Edit: Just got the mission - it is not rare and it is 100% (at least from what I saw). So that's cool!

For the Throne of Elements, it doesn't matter if it's the Outland or Draenor ToE.

It doesn't specify which versions like for Auchidoun and Shattrah. I did the Outlands one and it worked fine for fulfilling the requirement.

This is a great guide, but it would help a lot more if the flight paths were the actual name of the destination instead of the NPCs who send you, it does absolutely nothing when you're trying to choose where to fly in each zone. =/

Do you not understand that S.E.L.F.I.E.S are a new way to commemorate awesome moments in the game, with not only yourself, but all of your friends. its a new way to take screenshots, and create memory's, in real life selfies can be with more than one person. Just because its not your way of doing things, does not mean others wont find a fun and joyful way to use this.

Can someone confirm that the Frozen Throne is actually required for achievement. Seems a bit much to have to get through the entire ICC raid for this, unless there's a easier, more direct way?

This guide would be infinitely more useful if it showed where to take the pictures, you know, like the whole point of a guide for this achievement. Nobody gives a damn about flight paths, and having to interpret written clues when you have a map with markers handy is just stupid.

I have some suggestions to improove it tho :

- Adding the name of a flightmaster does not show where you need to travel .. could you please change (or add) the flightpoint name as depicted when talking to a flightmaster to the maps ?
- some general coordinates would be a nice one ( or if its the general area ie. Vale of eternal blossom also state so)
- for Selfies needed to be taken inside an instance please state it more clearly

Other then that .. took me some time to get them all ... nastyests one will proppably be the Frozen Throne.

Best suggestion i have is to ask around and see who has a lock on that instance and use/reactivate it , go in, take the selfie and be on your way.
Even a lock(-out) where the LK was defeated will do for this particular requirement, you just need to be up where he was defeated.

~~if you still have buisness in ICC ( like trying to get Invincible) its even preferred to do it this way, as the lock wont stick to you ( a raidlockout only sticks to you if you down a boss)~~

Apparently they changed the way lockouts work, i got saved to the instance the moment i walked in with someone's lockout on a downed LichKing

I am not sure why the Throne of Elements in Outland is shown on the map, but this is incorrect. The Throne of Elements for the achievement is the one in Draenor.

It would greatly improve the guide if the name of the flight path was listed not the name of the flight master; the flight master name is of no use. Other than that a good guide.

It should probably be noted that this is an accountwide achievement - you don't have to do it all on one toon. So, for example, I did all of the selfies on my horde toon - then switched to an alli toon to take one in Deeprun, and got the achieve.

To clarify, these are not selfies, these are screenshots. When people post pictures of themselves, you get a picture, but when fourteen year-old girls take a screen shot, you see their interface.

I love the new feature, though doing a "screencapture" captures more of the background in case you want more detail.

However, I do wish it was possible to use the "selfie" feature when mounted.... Sometimes the night sky makes the perfect background for selfies, but other details like trees or buildings or people might get in the way.... but I guess it's not safe to "selfie and drive"!

a fun thing to do is dismount while flying and quick snap it. you can get some extraordinary angles of the landscape, or just nothing (like regular peoples travel pictures, lol).

I am following the guide here and the first area I had a hard time finding and found no useful information here on how to find it is Ravenholdt Manor. The correct coordinates are /way 70.55, 44.96. Make sure you are in Hillsbrad Foothills. The area is in the mountains north of Durnholde Keep.

Great guide. Though I will say, I think you need to notate that Orgrimmar is for Horde only and Stormwind is Alliance only. Almost went and got myself killed for a selfie I didn't need to take :P

ProTip if you aren't into PvPing everyone in the universe and still need the Battle Ring, Gurubashi Arena selfie.

1) Procure a goblin glider. Either a Goblin Glider kit if you're not an engineer, or a tinkered Goblin Glider if you are.

2) Put the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera on an action bar. A hotkey if you wish.

3) Put the Glider on another action bar button (also, hotkeyed if you wish).

4) Fly to Gurubashi Arena but don't land. Instead, fly as high as you can and get above the center of the arena, which puts you into the Battle Ring area (but also temporarily flags you for universal PvP). But you're so way up high no one will notice you, let alone be able to attack you.

5) Turn to face your mount to face west, in the direction of the ocean (optional). Whatever facing you're looking at, this is where you're going to go when this is all done. Pick a direction with a landing spot you can stand. The ocean is recommended because it's unoccupied.

5) Trigger the S.E.L.F.I.E. camera on the action bar. You'll be dismounted and start falling.

6) Quicly take a picture with the "1" button. If you're doing this, you're not here for the best pose or the prettiest effects. Just take the dang picture before you splat!

7) Cancel the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera buff to get back your normal controls.

8) Trigger the goblin glider and fly safely away from both a deadly fall and the ravenous clutches of PvP.

The direction you're facing is the direction the glider will take you, which is why I recommended the ocean earlier: if you get bored of gliding serenely, you can cancel the parachute early over the water and splash safely.

For those doing this achievement in Legion pre-patch missing The Deadmines.
I went down to the instance area where the portal entrance to Deadmines was suppose to be. It wasn't there for me, so running back out I thought I'd try the back side... the place you exit when having run through the actual dungeon... Stepping in a few steps from that end and taking the selfie, worked for me.

If your doing Vashj'r area and haven't done the Eastern Kingdom or some parts of it, you don't have to use your hearthstone. Just keep riding to the surface (or swim if you don't have the Vashj'ir Seahorse or any other water mount) and mount your flying mount. Fly east towards the western tip of Dun Morogh.

You'll only face a short time of the fatigue bar and you can continue your selfies on the Eastern Kingdom.

Sha Filter: Acquired by taking a selfie with the Sha of Fear in the Terrace of Endless Spring. You must be in combat to get credit.

I was able to obtain this filter without being in combat, I just had to be close enough to 惧之煞

Thought I had found an easy way to grab one of these - while in the portal instance of the "Loot Invincible's Reins" quest in the Dalaran Postmaster questline. Took a bunch of selfies there; none counted toward the achievement. It must not really be the same instance location.

On "The Scarab Dais" in Kalimdor, (where the Ahn'Quiraj Gong was) make sure to speak to Rhonormu next to it so that he takes you to old Silithus pre-Sargeras sword, otherwise you won't get credit for the photo.

Is this just me? I have long completed Field Photographer achievement and got this toy when it was released. However, nothing I do can bring back how my characters would make faces and when id type an emote they would do it instead of giving me audio. I have no idea what went wrong and If anyone can help me out, id appreciate it a lot

Note that when doing the Thandol Span selfie, if you're Horde, you need to be on the contested Wetlands side of the bridge to get credit for the Achievement.

(Alliance) For the Vash'ir part, take the Call of Duty quest at the SW docks. When you load in, I took the picture and got credit.

I would recommend not turning the quest in and porting/hearthing out.
