Notable Trash Mobs
There is no trash between the first boss of the raid instance, Hellfire Assault, and the Iron Reaver encounter. The Iron Reaver will enter the Iron Bulwark immediately once the Hellfire Assault encounter has been defeated.

Iron Reaver Encounter Mechanics
The Iron Reaver encounter has two phases, oscillating between a long, single-target phase and a shorter multi-target phase. Players should spec and gear for single-target damage, as damage on Iron Reaver is the most important part of the encounter.
Ground Operations
During the Ground Operations phase, Iron Reaver is grounded, fighting players directly, while she builds up Energy. Upon reaching 100 Energy, the Iron Reaver will launch into the air, becoming unattackable, and throwing down obstacles for players to clear until she lands. The Ground Operations phase lasts a little over 2 minutes, while the Air Operations phase lasts exactly 1 minute.

is the trickiest of these mechanics. Iron Reaver will face in a random direction and begin to "wind up" for a

is a simple raid-wide AoE mechanic; Iron Reaver will repeatedly slam her fist into the ground, causing it to tremble and dealing Nature damage.
Raid CDs should be used to heal through this damage
The force of the

causes patches of

to move away from the boss a few yards
Players should move in closer to the boss to avoid the
献祭
patches as they are pushed away
Healers who are not currently using their raid CDs should focus on healing players with the

by watching Iron Reaver's feet and moving away or well behind her
The

path will push

patches off to the side, so nearby players should be mindful of the moving fire
Melee DPS should probably not chase Iron Reaver during
迅猛突袭
, as they will be very likely to get caught in the re-
迅猛突袭
.
Outside of these abilities, there are two more mechanics for players to contend with.
Iron Reaver will target a tank with
炮击
; 13 seconds later, she will fire a rocket at that tank that will deal damage to the entire raid.
The amount of damage each player takes is based on their distance from the affected tank; at 40+ yards, players will take the minimum possible damage
This is the tank-swap mechanic; the off-tank should taunt when the current tank gains
炮击
The
炮击
target should run away so they are more than 40 yards from the raid when their debuff fades
炮击
debuffs will overlap slightly throughout the fight; be sure not to run away from the boss until the previous tank has returned
Spread out for Unstable OrbAdditionally, Iron Reaver will frequently fire
不稳定的宝珠
s at ranged players.

deals a moderate amount of damage up front, and leaves a stacking DoT
The damage from
不稳定的宝珠
will splash onto any other players within 8 yards of the initial target
The force of the impact will push any nearby Immolate patches away from the targeted player
Healers should focus on healing players with the
不稳定的宝珠
DoT, particularly during
重击
The ranged DPS and healers should stay spread out at least 8 yards apart to avoid splashing the
不稳定的宝珠
damage onto one another. Raid damage will quickly get out of control if
不稳定的宝珠
spreads too much.

Air Operations
Approximately two minutes and fifteen seconds into the fight, Iron Reaver will reach

- 100 Energy - and begin the Air Operations phase. During this time, Iron Reaver cannot be attacked, although DoTs placed before she takes off will still deal damage. This phase will last one minute.
Fuel StreakIron Reaver will use three abilities during this phase, and each one will be used three times:

will target three players - DPS or healers, but not tanks - afflicting them with the same
炮击
debuff and mechanic as the tanks deal with in the Grounded Phase
As Iron Reaver flies overhead, she leaves a

on the ground, which she will then ignite in a

Iron Reaver will cast

, firing three volleys of

s in random locations around the encounter area
The three players targeted by

must run to far edges of the room to detonate, aiming to get more than 40 yards from other players.
All players should avoid

patches and be sure to be out of the strip of fuel when

occurs. There will be gaps in the line for players to pass through if needed, and at the end of the phase, the

s disappear.
Each cast of

creates five

s, which players must kill before the fuse timer expires.

s have a 25-second fuse
If a
易爆火焰炸弹
has not been killed before the fuse timer expires, it detonates, dealing heavy raid-wide Fire damage
This also causes subsequent
易爆火焰炸弹
detonations to deal 50% more damage
易爆火焰炸弹
s have relatively low health, and will spawn five at a time, scattered across the encounter area
The raid should spread out around the center of the room so that at least a few DPS can reach each
易爆火焰炸弹
and kill it
Once a minute has passed, the Iron Reaver will descend, bleeding off all her excess Energy with a

. This impact is fatal, so players must be sure to run away from the
流星之击
graphic.

Iron Reaver Strategy Summary

Tank Responsibilities
Run 30+ yards away with Artillery to detonate
When one tank is targeted by

, the other tank must taunt Iron Reaver
The very first set of
炮击
casts in each Ground Operations phase will overlap - the second tank should not run out until the first tank returns
This leaves the second tank with about 5 seconds to get away from the raid - use movement-speed increasing effects
All subsequent
炮击
swaps will have greater leeway, but never move away from the boss until the other tank has taunted!
Use a cooldown to mitigate
炮击
's explosion when you are targeted with it
During the Air Operations phase, assist in killing
易爆火焰炸弹
s
Damage-Dealer Responsibilities
Kill Volatile Firebombs
Maximize your damage on Iron Reaver during the Ground Operations phase, since she is unattackable during the Air Operations phase
Watch Iron Reaver's facing for

and

, and overcompensate if necessary to avoid being struck by these abilities
Ranged DPS should spread out to avoid splashing

damage onto other players
Stay away from fire patches on the ground, and use a survivability CD if you have to pass through the fire and gain

s quickly
If you are targeted by

during the Air Operations phase, run to a far corner or edge of the area, more than 40 yards away from other players
Healer Responsibilities
Use your raid CDs during Pounding
The tanks will frequently run out of range with

; put HoT and absorption effects on them before they depart
Outside of

, most of the damage in the encounter will be spiky

hits/lingering DoT damage on ranged DPS, and raid-wide but light

Assign raid CDs for each of the three

When to use Legendary Ring Effects
For DPS, the legendary ring effect is best used to burn Iron Reaver's health during the Ground Operations phases, since the
易爆火焰炸弹
s during the flight phases are inconsistently placed and not well-grouped for AoE.
Healers should use the legendary ring effect on the second
重击
of each Ground Operations phase, since the shields generated when the effect expires will still be active when the third
重击
occurs.
Tanks should use the legendary ring effect to share damage from
炮击
.
Looking For Raid Difficulty
There are no mechanical differences in the Looking For Raid difficulty of this fight. Players should still focus on survivability, since the 10-minute Berserk timer is generous so long as the raid stays alive.

Mythic Difficulty
There are two major changes in the Mythic Difficulty version of this encounter, one in each phase.
During the Ground Operations phase, Iron Reaver will repeatedly scatter

s throughout the encounter area.
These

s react identically to the
易爆火焰炸弹
s encountered during the air phase on Normal/Heroic difficulty
Iron Reaver casts
火焰炸弹
three times during the grounded phase - right at the start of the phase, between the second and third

, and just before the final

Because the health of the
易爆火焰炸弹
s is low, players do not need to save cooldowns to kill them, or use legendary ring effects
Assigning specific ranged DPS to kill the
易爆火焰炸弹
s in designated sectors of the room will help ensure the mechanic is handled smoothly
During the Air Operations phase, when Iron Reaver casts
火焰炸弹
, she will summon four different types of Firebombs, rather than just the Volatile Firebombs from Normal/Heroic difficulties. The different types of Firebombs are indicated by colored light beams.
If any of these Firebombs are allowed to detonate, the raid will take Fire damage and gain a stacking
火焰炸弹易伤
debuff. Each type of Firebomb has a different-length fuse and must be handled in a particular manner.

These Firebombs have a 12-second fuse, and very low health
Their detonation damage is also low, but a Quick-Fuse detonation still grants

These Firebombs have a 30-second fuse and can only be destroyed by clicking on them
Destroying a Reactive Firebomb deals very heavy Physical damage
Tanks are ideal for this job, but players with immunities or strong damage-reduction cooldowns can also perform it
The Reactive Destruction deals splash damage, so players not assigned to destroying these bombs should not stand hear them

s are indicated by a green, fiery aura:
These Firebombs have a 40-second fuse and afflict attackers with stacks of
火焰易伤
DoT application counts as an attack, but DoT ticks, melee auto-attacks, splash AoE damage, and Multistrikes do not
Players with slow, hard-hitting casts or heavy reliance on DoTs are ideal for destroying these Firebombs
Players should be careful not to build up too many stacks of
火焰易伤
, since
炮击
detonations still occur during this phase
Healers should pay special attention to players with
火焰易伤
when
炮击
expires
Players currently affected by
炮击
should not damage any Burning Firebombs until
炮击
's explosion occurs
强化火焰炸弹
s are indicated by a faint purple aura:
These Firebombs have an 85-second fuse and very high health, so will require dedicated DPS focus
Due to their lengthy fuse, they are the lowest-priority bombs
Players should DoT or cleave onto Reinforced Firebombs where possible, especially if this generates resources that increase damage done to other Firebombs
Do not focus on finishing off these bombs until
all other Firebomb types are dead
With each cast of
火焰炸弹
, Iron Reaver will summon:
4 Quick-Fuse Firebombs
3 Reactive Firebombs
3 Burning Firebombs
1 Reinforced Firebomb
The raid should be sure to spread out during this phase so that there are sufficient DPS within range of each Quick-Fuse Firebomb to kill them before they detonate.

Another nice, comprehensive guide. It pays to read what other roles do - I know I usually skip straight to my own and ignore what others will be doing.
This fight sounds quite easy in execution, but interesting with the bombs and the 40-yard gap for artillery debuffs. I look forward to it.

Just to note....just ran this on my healer, and healers can also get targeted for

during air phase, not just dps.

Have all of the HFC guides been updated to be current with the release version of the raids rather than the PTR versions? I was looking for when it was last updated but didn't see anything. Thanks for posting these :)

Strategy note for Phase 2 - Some groups prefer to spread out and deal with the fire patches and bombs organically. Other groups may find it more useful to try to organise the fire a bit. If you're having trouble killing all the bombs in p2 because they're often out of range or you get cut off from them by fire, try this strategy:
Initially have the whole raid stack in the center of the room
When the first Fuel Streak is laid down, have half the raid step to one side of it, and the other half step to the other side
The next Fuel Streak should target one of the two halves of the raid, who should just continue moving in the same direction they moved previously
Do the same thing for the third Fuel Streak
When the boss lands in the middle, a lot of this fire will get pushed out, and tanks can pull her to a clear area
This will also make it pretty obvious which players are responsible for killing the bombs on the far outskirts of the area - whichever players split in that direction after the first fire.
This would probably make more sense with pictures, but I am tired :P

As a dk i could use my
magic shel
on every
artillery
If you wait up to the last second you can then run through
Immolation patches
to get to the boss again.
Note that if you are not using DBM or any other timers or they are off a bit you need to Taunt when the other tank gets marked for artillery the mark looks like ->

This guide covers both the Normal and Heroic versions of the encounter, as far as mechanics and general strategy is concerned. The only difference between these two modes is found in the tuning, with Heroic being more difficult.
When we speak of extreme situations (
such as the difficulty of a soft enrage timer, or damage from a certain source being too high to survive
), we mostly refer to Heroic mode.
