New Toys - Old Items Converting to Toys
Toy collectors can rejoice because Blizzard is adding many new toys to the Toybox in Legion! This guide will
focus on brand new toys but rather preexisting items that previously belonged in the Toybox but instead just took up bag space! As of the date of publishing there are 48 items being converted to toys in Legion.
Alongside this guide I've also created a tool to track your farming progress if you wish to get a head-start and begin farming the items now! The tool is available at the end of the guide.
You can start farming these items
and when Legion (or the prepatch, HOPEFULLY) drops you will be able to add many new additions to your Toybox :)
UPDATE - 4/19/16: THREE NEW TOYS ADDED :) SEE CHANGE LOG AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE FOR MORE INFO!
Purchased from a Vendor
←←← These aren't 100% confirmed. I wouldn't advise buying these just yet as the names have the added word "Eternal" which does not show up when browsing her goods.
奥术魔法的学派 - 精通
空间撕裂器 - 52区
These addons are ones that I've used through my process of obtaining these items and they've made the process a breeze so far. These addons are obviously optional, however, if you are not against trying new addons I'd highly recommend giving them a try! All links for addons will be to
This addon will scan the vicinity and alert you of nearby rare spawns. This is perfect when you're doing flybys and running routes trying to farm for some of these toys so you don't have to manually scan the horizon looking for the mob.
This addon isn't quite as important as the others, but I find it extremely helpful nonetheless. It is a bag replacement addon that allows you to create categories within your bags and bank. For the purpose of these new toys, I made a category named NewToys and each new item that I get I can drag to this section of my bag in order to keep better track of the item. If it's an item that I don't want to carry around I can add it in my bank instead and the category will carry over to my bank without the need to make a separate "NewToys" category in the bank bags.
This addon will allow you to add permanent, account-wide, markers on your main map. This is helpful for many things, but for the purpose of the new toys, I use it to mark the rare spawn locations. Once the marker is in place I simply right-click on it and set a TomTom waypoint (I'll cover this later) at the spawn location.
This is helpful for pasting multiple things at once - such as multiple TomTom waypoints. This will come in handy when utilizing my tool later in the guide.
I find this addon absolutely necessary for any collector enthusiasts. It allows you, with a click of a button, to hop to another realm in search of that rare spawn. It utilizes the Group Finder tool so be warned that this may upset some group leaders, but I personally have not had any troubles with anyone yet.
In the second screenshot you can see an option to 'Clear All'. This will reset your visited realms. Once you visit a realm you will not visit it again for a certain amount of time (in my case - 10 minutes). Clearing this list is helpful because you may realm hop a few times, get the rare spawn you wanted then move to the next rare spawn - you may need to revisit some of those blacklisted realms to find that new rare spawn that you're now searching for.
This addon provides a huge improvement to your quality of life when heading to unknown locations. Either typing your own macro or copy/pasting one from the internet (or my tool!) such as
/way Tanaan Jungle 31.6, 72.8 Imp-Master Valessa
will add a waypoint arrow on your screen as long as you're on the corresponding continent. This addon, paired with Paste (to paste multiple waypoints at the same time), can easily set up a farming route for you. You could, for instance, copy the following from my tool and TomTom will point you to the closest waypoint. Once you arrive at the destination it will automatically point you to the next closest location.
/way Vale of Eternal Blossoms 14, 58.6 Kal'tik the Blight
/way Vale of Eternal Blossom 31, 91.6 Major Nanners
/way Vale of Eternal Blossom 42.6, 69 Ai-Ran the Shifting Cloud (In the cave)
For easier tracking of all of these items I have created a tool via Google Sheets. In order to use the tool you must either have a Gmail account and make a copy of it or download an Excel or OpenOffice compatible copy of it. I have not tested the compatibility of the downloaded copie, however, another user has informed me that it works perfectly in Excel.
Saving a Copy to Google Drive
• Log into your Google account
• Click on 'File'
• Click on 'Make a copy...'
This will add an editable copy of the spreadsheet to your Google Drive.
Download a Copy for Microsoft Excel/OpenOffice
• Click on 'File'
• Click on 'Download as'
• Choose your format
I can't guarantee all the features listed here will function the same as they do with Google Sheets if you choose this option as I have not tested it with Excel or OpenOffice.

Nicely done this is awesome!
Thank you for this list.
Hey man! Thanks a lot for your work.
BTW There is a little mistake in Crafted & Miscenalleous section. There are a total an 18 toys that you can get, but in your document it tells that there are 10 toys. Actually you have a mistake in formula which is going from 12 position to 41, but it should be going from 4th position. So the total amount of toys is 53.
You are missing:
Loot a rang
Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan
Dimensional Ripper - Everlook
Ultrasafe Transporter: Toshley's Station
Dimensional Ripper - Area 52
Wormhole Generator: Northrend
Gnomish Gravity Well
Are the engineering items staying engineering exclusive?
Great work and thanks for the spreadsheet and now this guide
Is there any recourse for people who deleted these items for taking up so much bag space?
found this link :
there are few more, have they been confirmed as futur toys?
Shared the guide, and did a little video for it :) Hope thats OK, bringing my "2 cents" on most of the toy's.
Thank you very much for this guide and for the sheet
are Crate of Kidnapped Puppies,Grindgear Toy Gorilla, Kiron Tor Beacon, scuttler's shell and tuft of yak fur going to be toys?
from MoP archaeology is also converted into a toy.
are also being converted into toys in Legion.
Currently in the beta,
Noble's Eternal Elementium Signet
Eternal Black Diamon Ring
are not actually conversions, they're new items. The previous equivalent ring items sold by Haris Pilton are still there, with the toys added as well.
A tiny tip also for guys like me that are strangling with space on their bags.
Just farm this items on your alts and delete them from your bags you will take them again when they become toyz :)
Great guide, I appreciate all the hard work - I'm using the spreadsheet myself, so that is an awesome addition!
One suggestion I would have is to maybe make a chart under each category, and flesh out some information as to Source, Cost, Location etc. or maybe just put in a comments column and specify where to find each? I think it would make it look less cluttered, and would make it a lot more convenient for those using the guide.
Having seen the spreadsheet, I know you've done the research already as to the sources, so shouldn't be too tough!
this fantastic guide
for more info on formatting, tables, etc.
The content of this guide is definitely stellar! Thanks again.
Eternal Black Diamond Ring
Noble's Eternal Elementium Signet
are indeed totally new items costing 5000g and 3000g (limited supply) from Haris Pilton, respectively.
Burgy Blackheart's Handsome Hat also deleted itself from my inventory and never converted to the new Toy version on my copied character, perhaps it's a bug but just be aware.
It might also be worth noting that toys like the Aqua Crystal, Battle Horn & Salyin Battle Banner are being restricted to outdoors area in Pandaria and Aviana's Feather, FIndle's Loot-a-rang & Everblooming Frond being only usable in Draenor, so while it'll be nice our alts can use them, their usefulness is almost completely gone in Legion.
Fecking hell... practically vast majority of them I ditched... :/
Fair warning that at least some of these items are receiving a pretty nasty nerf in addition to being made toys.
For example, in Beta right now the
is Pandaria only and
is Draenor only.
nice guide, thankyou for writing ;)
Huge! Thanks a lot!
I've found that there is also
that were made available in 7.0.3
