Figurines can only spawn in the original Cataclysm phase of Uldum, and will not appear in the Battle for Azeroth phase. Talk to
Zidormi
in Ramkahen to make sure you are in the correct phase of Uldum before searching.
Only one person can obtain this mount, and a figurine cannot be "shared" to multiple players.
Class trial characters can loot this mount.

Addons & Macros
These addons and macros are helpful for keeping track of spawn points and alerting you to spawns. They are not mandatory, but will make your hunt easier.
Addons
SilverDragon
will show a popup whenever a rare NPC has been sighted via Target, Vignettes, Mouseover or Nameplates.
TomTom
for the TomTom Waypoints (/way), shows Map, Minimap POI Icons and a Navigation Arrow.

Camel Spotter
will automatically enable friendly nameplates when zoning into Uldum, and alerts the player to whether or not a figurine is "real" when its nameplate comes into view. It also has a one-click option to add waypoints, as long as

is also installed.
This addon is HIGHLY recommended, As it circumvents the need for any additional macros, addons, or adjustments when hunting!
Remember, with SilverDragon and other "rare scanner" addons, you will only receive an alert if you see a nameplate, target the NPC or mouseover the NPC. These limitations were forced with the introduction of Vignette mobs in Warlords of Draenor, which overhauled the rare NPC system as a whole. Therefore, you cannot completely AFK and expect your addon to announce a spawn for you as was possible in the past.
Macros
Use the following macro when Paste is installed, otherwise you'll have to manually use one line at a time.
The macro will enable friendly nameplates, and set their view distance to the max possible distance. This macro is not necessary if you decide to use

Spawn Information

has 50 possible spawn points. Keep in mind that all of these spawn points are shared with the "fake" figurine,

There is a 5% chance for a "real" figurine to spawn, meaning that the remaining 95% of the time, the "fake" figurine will spawn. Only one figurine (real or fake) can be up on a server per warmode at any one time.
The figurines share a 2-8 hour spawn timer
. The "fake" figurine can quickly become a nuisance to rare hunters. However, they do serve a purpose. Whenever a fake figurine is clicked and looted, it will despawn within a few minutes. This will in turn reset the spawn timer, meaning that once you've clicked it, you will know you're guaranteed another figurine spawn on that realm 2-8 hours from then. Tracking fake spawns and their timers will bring you closer to your final goal of finding a real figurine.

Cross-Realm Zones
CRZ or Cross-Realm Zones are zones in which specific groups of servers share an instance of said zone. CRZ is implemented in all old-world zones. The groupings for both NA and EU servers are below.

As an example, EU Silvermoon and EU Ghostlands are in the same CRZ group. This means that as a Silvermoon player in a pre-Battle for Azeroth zone, you can see and interact with players from Ghostlands, and vice-versa. In addition, all the NPCs and objects within the zone are shared between all players in the same CRZ group.
RP realms work a little differently, as they are not grouped with any other realms other than their connected realm(s), if any.
Connected realms are often mistaken for CRZ grouped realms, but they mean different things. Connected servers share zones, auction houses, guilds and players between them by default. Functionally, they work as one server, the only separation between the connected realms being their names.
This information is important because it often negates the value of the "Low," "Medium," "High," or "Full" population labels on realms. While your realm may be considered "Low" in population, it's very likely that it is in a large CRZ group with many other realms, effectively making your realm high-population in old-world zones. To circumvent this, RP realms can be used for camping, as can any realm that only has a few other realms in its CRZ group.
Warmode
The Warmode system allows you to control when you want to engage in open-world PvP regardless of what realm you are on. The option can be found in the bottom right area of your character's Talents page. Please note that this setting can be toggled off in any rested area, but can ONLY be toggled on while in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.
Warmode on and Warmode off are treated as completely separate phases. You cannot see or interact with players who are not on the same Warmode setting as you, even if you are both on the same realm. Rares will also spawn independently of each Warmode setting. To put it succinctly, you can think of the Warmode system as effectively doubling amount of phases in which your character can exist in while not partied.
Chromie Time Basics
Chromie Time is a new feature introduced in patch 9.0.1 that can only be activated by characters level 10-47. When turned on, your character will have access to scaled versions of all zones from Legion and earlier.
Similar to warmode,
Chromie Time is a separate phase
from regular time. This means there are now 4 completely separate versions of every pre-Battle for Azeroth zone on each server group - Warmode Off, Warmode On, Chromie Time Warmode Off, and Chromie Time Warmode On.
To activate Chromie Time, talk to
Chromie
in either Orgrimmar or Stormwind. Which campaign you pick doesn't matter - there is only one version of Chromie Time that is either on or off, regardless of what zone you are in. Selecting different campaigns will not change this. If you wish to turn Chromie Time off again, simply talk to Chromie once more. Chromie Time will be unavailable if you are on a level 50+ character, on a class trial, or are a new player with no characters at level 50 yet.
Chromie Time and Party Sync
Level 50+ characters can indirectly enter Chromie Time by grouping with a lower level character who has Chromie Time enabled and then activating party sync. To activate party sync, go to your quest log (default shortcut: L), and click the party sync button below your quest list. Party sync is only available in a party group, and the button will not appear if you are solo or in a raid group.
If party sync is activated while the level 50+ character and Chromie Time character are in the same zone and warmode, the level 50+ character will be pulled to the same server as the Chromie Time character. If the characters are in different zones or have different warmode settings upon activation of party sync, the level 50+ character will still be put into Chromie Time, but on their own native server instead.
Additional tips on using party sync:
Some enemies are difficult to defeat alone in Chromie Time. Using party sync to bring others in to Chromie Time to help you will make them much easier to handle.
Due to a bug, you currently need to complete all invites prior to activating party sync. If you attempt to invite someone with party sync already active, the accept invite window will not appear for the person being invited. To make sure your invite works properly, turn off party sync before issuing the invite, then turn it back on afterwards.
You will not be able to activate party sync if you are currently in combat.
Class trial characters cannot party sync into Chromie Time.
Making Use of Chromie Time
A great way to take advantage of Chromie Time is to level up a character on an RP server or smaller CRZ server group to at least level 30 (the level that flying is unlocked). You can also consider going to level 40 for faster flying. This character can be used to search for any rare spawn enemies or objects you wish, while having minimal competition and four different phases available to use.
The leveling changes added alongside Chromie Time make leveling much faster than before, so it shouldn't take too long to get to 30, even on a fresh new character. This time investment will typically pay off, as it will allow you to find various rares considerably faster.

The Hunt: Searching, Tracking, and More
Always make sure you are in the Cataclysm phase of Uldum before searching, as figurines cannot spawn in the Battle for Azeroth phase of the zone.
Due to the large amount of spawn points, it is not realistic to try and camp the spawns and wait for a

to appear. Instead, periodic sweeps of all spawn points on a realm are recommended. The intervals between these sweeps are up to you, though it is usually good enough to check once each hour during the spawn window.
See the map above for a recommended route to take when scouting all the spawn points.
Whenever you find and click a fake

on a server, note the time at which you clicked as well as the realm and Warmode setting, and don't check again until at least 2 hours later. Remember, having Warmode on vs. off will put you in separate phases; Use this to your advantage and check both Warmode settings of a server if possible. Class trial characters can loot this mount, so you can use them to cover a larger number of different servers. To avoid doubling up, make sure that the different servers you use are not connected or part of the same CRZ group.
If you intend to help a friend get this mount, the following is recommended:
Get on a large mount and stand directly on top of the figurine. This will make it more difficult for other players to click while you are waiting on your friend.
Make sure your friend is on the same faction and Warmode setting as you are -- as long as they play in the same region as you, the realm does not matter. Then have them come to the figurine, and click it.

up in front of them. Have them kill Dormus, and loot their

Unfortunately, there is no way to teleport back to the figurine location in Uldum from Feralas, but you can both hearthstone, meet up to take pictures, and celebrate!

Trivia and History
This mount used to be shareable to multiple people at once! As long as Dormus was up on a player's realm, they would be able to invite the player with the buff, which phased them over to their own realm with Dormus. The buffed player would then be able to kill and loot the mount, and then trade the mount to the other party member once the buff expired. This could be repeated multiple times, meaning sometimes 20 or more players could get the mount from a single figurine!
The

used to have a longer spawn timer of 4-12 hours which was eventually changed to 2-8 hours near the end of Legion.

is the rare spawn with the smallest model in the game.
The buff

will tick even while your character is offline.
The mount itself is the only camel mount that you can acquire without any reputation with
拉穆卡恒
, or without the TCG card for
白色骑乘骆驼

Do you have to complete any quests in Uldum to see the figurines? I don't know if there would be any phasing that would cause a problem.

I installed the Camelspotter addon, but not sure if it's turned on.
Are there any "/" commands for it?
What does the alert look like? I found my very first figurine today, but had a hard time clicking on it. The label was just standard green and did not see any kind of "alert" whether it was fake or not. Turned out to be fake.

This is the best guide by far I've read. The screenshots are SUPER helpful. After several days I finally saw my first Mysterious Camel. Oddly enough it looked like a pile of dust BEFORE i clicked it. So i wasn't too shocked when yeah, it turned back into a pile of dust. Onward!

Been after this mount since Cata. Today, I found this guide and read it. Cut to about 30 mins later, I found a Camel statue. This in itself isn't too uncommon for me, I've found quite a few duds over the years. But today was different. Clicked the statue and my guy started spinning, think to myself well that's weird. Next thing I know, IM GOING TO ANOTHER ZONE. WAIT WHAT JUST HAPPENED. Yup got my mount today.

now when Vision of N'Zoth is live Uldum have changed so those spawn points markings do not work i did sit and change everyone of them and here they are now they work correctly again :) and can you find them in the new uldum? have not tryed it

Awesome guide! Been after this since cataclysm, but was always just farming it casually.
Now I went all in and after 3 days (not played) and 10 figurines later I finally found a REAL one!
It felt unbelievable, and yes, I realise I found it quickly, but for me it feels like I finally got it from all the way back in cata xD
Really happy about the find :D
Some information I gathered on my journey:
Having done none, some or all quests in Uldum certainly does not affect your ability to see figurines.
Just got it today and I've seen figurines on characters that have not done quests at all, some that have done some quests and some that have done all quests.
Also, two can be up per server/server group at a time, one in each warmode ON/OFF.
And lastly, you can only see the figurines in the cataclysm version of Uldum, not the newest version of Uldum aimed for max level players, SO PLEASE, BEFORE FARMING, make sure you go speak to the lady that transforms you to the cataclysm version of Uldum :D

Two things, and maybe it was a fluke. I got the mount when I clicked a fake (got dust) and didn't know there was only supposed to be one up at a time. I completed my circuit and on the second to last point I found the real one. Not sure how if that is not supposed to happen.
Next, Silver Dragon does show additional spawn points to this guide. I don't know which one isn't up to date but something for people to consider.

Finally found the
REAL
miniature camel figurine a little bit ago. Used the Camel spotter add-on. I have come across multiple
FAKE
figurines but was excited when the pop-up said "
REAL
"...
Found @ 51.47, 51.16 location just after midnight on Thorium Brotherhood server. Good luck everyone! Stay the course and don't give up!
Just like some others have said, get on the ground and move your mouse around as it may take scrolling over the nameplate to trigger the pop-up.

I have been looking for the camel figurine off and on for some time. I am on Argent Dawn/Scryers server. Does anyone have an idea as to the spawn times, and I keep seeing little Anubis statues, and not camels. Anybody know anything about those? My TomTom, Camel Spotter and Silver Dragon all seem to be operating. I also was wondering of WM on or WM off was better? Thank you for your time and any relevant input you choose to contribute. Just got it today after 3 days investing a few hours per day. Overall, I found 10 figurines. My recommendations:
- Camelspotter is a must have, just fly the recommended route slightly above the ground and the addon will notify you
without hovering
anything. Most of the figurines I would have never seen without the addon to be honest. So this is a must have in my opinion.
- Use class trial to cover multiple realms, most of the figurines I got on low pop french realms, but also 3 or 4 occurances on a high population German one.
- I only covered WM off because I just switched realms after covering the route.
- Early in the morning and in the evening worked best for me, mainly because there are 8-10 hours in between. Afternoon was not that successful.
- Dormus was one-hit on a Level 60 Feral, so you do not need to worry about killing him.
