Patch 9.0 Updates - Shadowlands Prepatch

The level squish also came with both hard and soft level requirement changes for buildings. All level requirements listed in this guide now reflect the new level requirements as of 9.0.

Patch 6.1 Updates

Level 3 Profession buildings unlock special profession missions.

Rush Orders complete 5 Work Orders at once. Profession Work Orders can be obtained from missions and other Orders can be obtained with Garrison Resources.

Followers with profession traits earn experience when a Work Order completes, and also increase the success chance of profession missions.

Garrison Music is coming--build a jukebox and collect different types of music to change the mood of your base.

Invasions are getting a new top level, Platinum, which rewards ilvl 660 loot.

The follower ilvl cap is increasing to 675 and the mission UI is greatly improved.

More missions are coming, including ilvl 660 Blackrock Foundry ones and Exploration missions tied to Archaeology.

Garrison Basics

You have access to a variety of buildings in your garrison that grants you powerful benefits, but you have limited space. Choose wisely!

Your Garrison hubs are located in 霜火岭 (霜寒晶壁) for the Horde and 影月谷 (坠落之月) for the Alliance.

You cannot move your Garrison, but as you quest in different zones, you can build outposts. These give you zone-wide perks and special followers.

With a Garrison, you can access up to three profession buildings. If you do not have a profession, you can have an NPC associated with a Garrison building craft you most, but not all, Draenor recipes, including some epics. You can recruit followers to your Garrison, who can go on missions that have dungeon or entry-level raid loot as rewards.

To replace Garrison Buildings, simply go to the Architect's Table, and drag a new building onto an occupied slot.

Leveling Your Garrison

Level 1: One small and one large plot. You get your Level 1 Garrison just by doing initial questing. Read about those initial quests here.

Level 2: Two small, one medium, one large, 药圃等级1, 渔夫小屋等级1, 坠月挖掘场 / 霜壁矿井等级1 also unlocked. You can upgrade your Garrison to Level 2 on completion of the questlines culminating 越大越好/越大越好. Upgrading costs 0 要塞物资 and this automatically teaches you all of the Level 1 small, medium, and large blueprints (except the Salvage Yard and Shipyard; the Barracks Level 1 blueprint has already been learned).

Level 3: Three small, two medium, two large. You can upgrade your Garrison to level 3 at level 40 for 0 要塞物资 and . Since this can be a daunting amount of resources for a new level 40, learn how to get resources with our guide.

There are three building sizes--small, medium, and large. Small buildings focus on professions, while medium and large buildings have cooler perks and collectible items.

You will have to pick and choose buildings carefully as there are more building options than there are available plots.

Level 1 buildings are automatically learned when you upgrade your Garrison to Level 2--except the Salvage Yard, that requires a short quest at 96.

When you complete an Outpost questline, you get a token allowing you to get a Level 2 Garrison blueprint for free.

Level 2 small building blueprints require level 30 or completion of Talador Outpost quests (start at level 20). They cost .

Level 2 medium building blueprints require level 35 or completion of Spires of Arak Outpost quests (start at level 30). They cost .

Level 2 large building blueprints require level 40 or completion of Nagrand Outpost quests (start at level 35). They cost .

Your Level 3 blueprints are unlocked by completing time-consuming achievements.

When you construct a building, that costs additional gold and resources.

Level 1 Profession blueprints for your professions can be acquired via a short questline. The starting quest item drops via Draenor mobs, 卡诺斯 during 觉醒的暗影 for the Alliance, or 残酷的多罗戈 during 刀塔屠夫 for the Horde.

By upgrading your Garrison to level 2, you unlock the remaining level 1 blueprints except for the 废品站，1级.

Level 2 Blueprints for Small buildings require you to reach level 30 or complete the 塔拉多 Outpost quests, which you can start at level 20.

Level 3 small blueprints are unlocked with 订单达人 and hitting 100. As this achievement is account-wide, starting Garrisons with Work Orders on alts can speed the process up.

Level 1 Small blueprints are free as you upgrade to Garrison Tier 2.

Level 2 Small Blueprints cost from 雷兹拉克 or 斯帕兹·扭螺. They are free if you have 岗哨建筑施工笔记, which you get on completing your Outpost quest chains.

What is it good for?

Raiding - it generates reagents so you can craft potions and flasks faster with a profession. If you don't have the profession, you can craft some lesser flasks and potions directly from the building.

What does it do?

炼金实验室等级1: Allows the production of Alchemy items and 7 total work orders.

炼金实验室等级2: Allows followers with the Alchemy trait to work here, granting a unique bonus (stack of potions every day). 14 total work orders.

What is it good for?

Raiding - it allows you to generate additional materials for Enchants. If you don't have the profession, you can disenchant items and craft many Draenor enchants.

Crafting - it allows you to disenchant items you find while leveling, raiding and doing other activities

Transmog - when you level up your enchanter's study and assign a follower to it, that follower will offer weapon enchant illusions such as 幻象：敏捷. This is like transmog for enchants!

What does it do?

附魔研究室等级1: Allows the production of Enchanting items and allows non-Enchanters to disenchant items. 7 Work Orders.

附魔研究室等级2: Allows followers with the Enchanting trait to work here, granting a unique bonus (ability to transmog weapon glow). Also allows up to 14 work orders at one time..

What is it good for?

Raiding - it generates reagents so you can craft Engineering gadgets faster with a profession. If you don't have the profession, you can craft some gadgets and an ilvl 630 gun directly from the building.

Pet Battles - it allows you to create pets

Fun - it allows you to make cool gadgets

What does it do?

工坊等级1: Allows the production of Engineering items and 7 Work Orders at once.

工坊等级2: Allows followers with the Engineering trait to work here, granting a unique bonus. Also allows up to 14 work orders at one time. at one time.

珠宝店等级1: Allows the production of Jewelcrafting items and work orders. 7 Work Orders

珠宝店等级2: Allows followers with the Jewelcrafting trait to work here, granting a unique bonus (receive a quest to craft an item for lots of gold). Also allows up to 14 work orders at one time..

珠宝店等级3: Allows up to 21 work orders at one time. In 6.1, unlocks profession Work Orders.

Raiding - it gives you a chance to loot 一箱回收物资 which lets you upgrade your followers' items faster so you can unlock better missions for them which have good gear for players. You also have the chance to get ilvl 665 BoEs from Salvage which are better than normal Highmaul drops.

Goldmaking - you can get low-level BoEs with fashionable models from Salvage, and ilvl 665 BoEs.

Transmog - at level 3 it gives you the change to loot 一大箱回收物资 which can contain gear that has a unique model -- see all the models here.

What does it do?

废品站等级1: Allows Salvage to be occasionally recovered from missions (includes ilvl 665 gear).

废品站等级2: Increases your chance at recovering Salvage from missions. In addition, you may now discover follower items in Salvage.

废品站等级3: Greatly increases your chance at recovering Salvage from missions. In addition, you may now discover player items in Salvage (transmog gear).

What is it good for?

Raiding - it generates reagents so you can craft glyphs/weapons/cards/upgrade items faster with a profession. If you don't have the profession, you can craft cards and some weapons directly from the building.

Gold-making - it allows you to make things to sell on the Auction House

What does it do?

铭文师之家等级1: Allows the production of Inscription items. 7 Work Orders.

铭文师之家等级2: Allows followers with the Inscription trait to work here, granting a unique bonus (create forged goods to get gold from vendors). Also allows up to 14 work orders at one time.

铭文师之家等级3: Allows up to 21 work orders at one time. In 6.1, unlocks profession Work Orders.

What is it good for?

Utility - allows you to easily access banks and go longer without having to queue more Work Orders. Good for alts you forget to frequently play.

What does it do?

仓库等级1: Enables access to your personal bank and increases the total number of active work orders for all buildings by 5.

仓库等级2: Enables access to your guild bank.

仓库等级3: Enables access to an Ethereal Trader for Void Storage and Transmogrification and increases the total number of active work orders for all buildings by 15.

What is it good for?

Raiding - it gives you extra materials for several crafting professions. It also a chance at providing 狂野大餐 in the 畜棚等级3's work orders, this is the best feast.

Pet Battles - leveling your Barn to Level 3 allows you access to the upper level of the barn where you can loot a 一杯热牛奶 that teaches you the 俾格米奶牛 pet

What does it do?

畜棚等级1: Allows you to capture clefthoof, elekk, wolves, and talbuk for leather and fur. Used for leatherworking and tailoring recipes.

畜棚等级2: Allows you to capture boars and riverbeasts for rare meats used to create the most powerful food.

畜棚等级3: Allows you to capture elite beasts to harvest for savage blood, used in all epic crafted armor and weapons.

What is it good for?

Transmog - this building has a rotating set of quest giving NPCs. 约翰·J·基沙恩 offers 冰冷的钢铁 which rewards a transmoggable 血色头巾. You can also buy the transmoggable 切肉斧 from the Level 2 or 3 Inn if you have 700 Cooking.

Collections - this building has several toy and pet rewards from dungeon quests.

Gear - this building has dungeon quests which rewards gear and Apexis Crystals.

Followers - this building allows you to recruit followers weekly

What does it do?

坠月旅店 / 霜壁旅社等级1: Each day, a visitor offering a dungeon quest will spend the day at your inn.

坠月旅店 / 霜壁旅社等级2: Recruits random followers each week. You can specify traits and abilities you're especially interested in.

坠月旅店 / 霜壁旅社等级3: Unlocks the particularly lucrative treasure hunter missions.

What is it good for?

Garrison Leveling -Work Orders reward 要塞物资.

Titles - completing work orders at your Lumber Mill awards achievements that grant titles: completing 50 Work Orders awards 再砍点木头 is for 50 Work Orders and grants the title. After completing 100 Work Orders, you are awarded the achievement 多砍点木头. It grants the title for Alliance and for Horde.

Toys - gives you the ability to loot 树皮圣典, which drops from 石化古树 that are found in specific locations in Draenor. It starts the quest 古树的遗产. This quest requires you to kill and loot four unique Draenor ancients. These are spawned by chopping down Level 2 Trees (Medium Timber). Completing this quest awards the 屠树者的伪装, a vanity item that transforms you into a tree unique to the Draenor zone you are in. There are six styles total.

What does it do?

伐木场等级1: Allows you to mark small trees in Draenor for harvest. Harvested Timber can be converted to work orders for Garrison supplies.

伐木场等级2: Allows you to mark medium trees for additional Timber.

伐木场等级3: Allows you to mark large trees for even more Timber.

What is it good for?

PvP - provides you, through work orders, with blue PvP gear. It also allows you to obtain PvP titles, and gives you access to the Highmaul Coliseum.

Toys - upon winning the Highmaul Coliseum, you get the toy 督军的胜利旗帜

Titles - this building has the largest amount of titles by far.

Transmog - The work orders from this building provide PvP gear, which you can also use for transmog. Models are viewable here.

What does it do?

角斗士圣殿等级1: Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in outdoor Draenor zones and allows the collection of broken bones from defeated enemy players (used for Conqueror's Tribute).

角斗士圣殿等级2: Enables safe fall in outdoor Draenor zones. Also enables the Nemesis quest series for defeating enemy players of specific races.

角斗士圣殿等级3: While below 35% life, all damage taken is reduced by 50% in outdoor Draenor zones. Grants access to the Highmaul Coliseum gladiator tournament.

Trading PostWhat is it good for?

Raiding - it allows you to generate additional materials for just about every crafting profession

Transmog - a trading post allows you access to the Sha'tari Defense Quartermaster who sells a full set of trasmog plate gear only available to Alliance characters: and the Laughing Skull Orc Quartermaster sells skull transmog helms for Horde characters.

Pet Battles - it's the only way to access the Sha'tari Defense Quartermaster 玛瑞亚 and the Laughing Skull Orcs Quartermaster 基尔里普, and they each sell a pet, one per faction: 天青虚空鳐 and 白骨蜂 respectively.

Garrison Resources - Work Orders generate 30 resources.

What does it do?

货栈等级1: Allows the trade of crafting reagents for garrison resources and vice versa, for a profit!

货栈等级2: Enables access to the auction house. Also grants access to the Shattari Defense or Laughing Skull factions.

货栈等级3: Increases reputation gain in Draenor by 20%.

Raiding - gives you one of your three bonus rolls per week for free, and gives you the chance to gear up faster with better quest rewards.

Followers - Work Orders give you items that increase follower item level from pLvl 600 to 675, which unlock more missions

Transmog - allows you to collect armor scraps to build sets

What does it do?

矮人地堡 / 战争工坊等级1: Doubles the chance for your quest rewards to get a rare or epic Bonus Upgrade. Allows the collection of armor scraps from the orc clans of Draenor for armor transmogrification use (guard transmog).

矮人地堡 / 战争工坊等级2: Opens up work orders for follower weapons and armor in exchange for garrison resources. Also, new armor transmogrification items unlock (orc transmog).

矮人地堡 / 战争工坊等级3: Grants 1 of your 3 seals of tempered fate (raid bonus loot roll) at no cost each week. Also additional work orders can be queued up.

What is it good for?

Leveling followers: it gives additional follower experience from quests and allows you to have more followers

Questing - gives you a Bodyguard

Garrison flavor - lets you change the race of your Garrison guards and unlocks additional banners.

What does it do?

兵营等级1: Unlocks Patrol Missions. Patrol Missions have higher than normal follower experience rewards. Click here to see a list of patrol missions.

兵营等级2: Allows a follower with the bodyguard trait to accompany you as a guardian in Draenor Zones.

兵营等级3: Increases your follower limit by 5 and grants access to racial guards and banners.

What is it good for?

Travel - via Ogre Waygates it gives you portals all over Draenor

Questing - occasionally grants Rune of Power

Currency - Work Orders in 6.1 award Apexis Crystals.

What does it do?

法师塔 / 灵魂小屋等级1: Allows the collection of ogre waystones from Ogres on Draenor. These waystones can be used to power an Ogre Waygate of your choice on Draenor. Also occasionaly triggers 能量符文 during combat.

法师塔 / 灵魂小屋等级2: Unlocks access to a second Ogre Waygate.

法师塔 / 灵魂小屋等级3: Unlocks access to a third Ogre Waygate.

What is it good for?

Mount Collecting - allows you to capture and train special mounts. By questing and completing all the quests and associated achievements for the Stables, you can earn the following mounts: 驯养的啸狼, 驯养的银鬃塔布羊, 驯养的淡水兽, 驯养的石牙野猪, 驯养的草地践踏者, and 驯养的冰蹄牛. The achievements from completing the quests which rewarded those mounts also reward mounts: 装甲霜狼 is a reward from 兽栏管理员 and 装甲霜鬃野猪 is a reward from 进阶畜牧业 (Horde) / 进阶畜牧业 (Alliance).

Gathering Professions - allows you to stay mounted when gathering or interacting

Questing - increases your mounted speed at Level 3, also allows you to stay mounted while interacting with objects at level 2.

What does it do?

兽栏等级1: Enables the capture and training of special mounts on Draenor.

兽栏等级2: You may remain mounted while interacting with objects in outdoor Draenor zones.

兽栏等级3: Increases mount speed in Draenor by 20%.

What is it good for?

Questing - it allows you to create a siege engine once per day at level 3, which can help with questing at lower levels or blowing up mobs for level 40 dailies

Fun - it allows you to make cool gadgets

What does it do?

侏儒工厂 / 地精车间等级1: Unlocks a personal engineer that creates a powerful invention each day. Exceptional work!

侏儒工厂 / 地精车间等级2: Your engineer gains access to five new and amazing devices.

侏儒工厂 / 地精车间等级3: Allows the creation of a siege vehicle once per day. Drive it to victory in Draenor!

What does it do?

Transmog - there is a set of farm tools that can be transmogged as weapons.

What is it good for?

Your 货栈等级1 allows you to trade herbs, ore and skins for additional Garrison Resources. The trade is done in the form of Work Orders, which change the required "currency" daily, and award 20 resources for 5 of either a herb, an ore, or a skin.

Followers have four or five mission threats they can counter based on their spec, including those from the Inn. It's not completely random what abilities they get!

If you level your followers to 40, you can then work on increasing their item level.

There are new missions available at 600, 615, 630, and 645 item level. Some of these missions reward gear.

Several top-tier missions, ilvl 645, reward players with Highmaul loot. We have a detailed guide on how to easily complete these missions.

You can increase the item level of your followers by opening Salvage Yard crates, completing Dwarven Bunker / War Mill Work Orders, and completing missions that reward upgrades.

In 6.1, there are ilvl 660 Blackrock Foundry missions and ilvl 675 missions with good rewards.

泰坦之路 pays tribute to the cut feature from Cataclysm.

舞蹈学院 pays tribute to the always-promised dance studio.

The buildings you choose for your Outpost in each zone will grant you unique buffs in that particular zone. Many quest chains reward followers as well.

戈尔隆德, 纳格兰, 阿兰卡峰林, and 塔拉多 have two unique building choices. You can have all four outposts active at once across zones.

There are eight potential outpost themes and the Alliance and Horde have different artwork.

You can later switch an outpost in a zone, at level 40. At launch, you could not go back and get rewards from the alternate outpost, but after December 11th hotfixes, you can grab alternate followers from outpost questlines. In 6.1, you can purchase the alternate followers for from your Garrison without having to rebuild the outpost.

Completing an Outpost-related questline in a zone will give you a token that you can turn in for a free Level 2 Blueprint.

Daily dungeon quests (click here for a full list) reward Garrison Resources.

Bounty quests (click here for a full list) reward 赏金. These are designed to be done in a group. This rewards gold and unlock similar-sounding missions for your followers.

Weekly raid quests reward a bag with an ilvl 645 or 655 token. The ilvl 655 tokens were unused during beta, and you can see a full list here.

Relic Hunter quests are given by Harrison Jones and when they are completed, unlock a similar-sounding ilvl 630 mission for your followers. This rewards gold as well. Completing all the quests is needed to obtain as a follower.

Profession NPCs will give a daily quest for Primal Spirits as well as the option to buy several new recipes for transmutes and Stage 4 crafted upgrades. These can spawn even if you don't have that profession. They're also a great way of letting you get Primal Spirits if you have a surplus of one tradeskill reagent.

As I read this guide and others... I get the feeling that a garrison is going to be Account wide and not character specific... I really hope its not account wide... ><;

Anyone happened to see something saying if it IS or ISNT account wide? (Meaning that one garrison for your whole account, or at least server)

Several Qs on Follower/Garrison Missions:

1- Can followers fail missions? The guide suggests some followers can get a "greater reward" depending on abilities, but would sending a different follower result in the mission failing/the follower dying?

2- Is there a cap (beyond not having any followers left) on how many missions can be active?

3- Does completing a garrison mission make it more likely to get another one and/or will you not be able to get new missions until earlier ones are completed?

But... Reins of the Dark War Talbuk as a reward? Seriously? I had it on like...six characters, before mounts were account wide. Not exactly hard to get these days, if you have friends with opposing faction characters.

Here are the needed reagents for each Small building work orders:

Placing an Alchemy work order in Alchemy Lab requires 5x 寒霜草.
Placing a Blacksmithing work order in The Forge requires 5x 真铁矿石.
Placing an Enchanting work order in Enchanter's Study requires 5x 德拉诺之尘.
Placing an Engineering work order in Engineering Works requires 2x 黑石矿石 and 2x 真铁矿石.
Placing an Inscription work order in Scribe's Quarters requires 2x 蔚蓝颜料.
Placing a Jewelcrafting work order in Gem Boutique requires 5x 黑石矿石.
Placing a Leatherworking work order in The Tannery requires 5x 天然兽皮.

So do you pick the small building to supply your profession, or pick one to supply a profession you don't have? i.e. Does an alchemist build an alchemy lab, or a gem boutique?

So I just noticed that on the beta, you can mine from your mineral nodes in the mine and harvest the plants in your garden even if you do not have mining or herbalism. Not sure if this will remain this way, but I hope so. The herbs and mineral nodes do not show up on your map if you do not have the corresponding profession, but you can still harvest/mine them.

if you want to unlock your garrison lvl 2
(the unlock says frostfire ridge quest progress or character lvl 93)
to do this before lvl 93...

you have to complete the 贾纳尔 quest chain which starts with 荣誉的嘉奖

Two things I think need added to the guide.
Upon reaching level 100 Gazlowe (horde) offers the quest My Own Fortress which allows you to upgrade to level 3 garrison.

The menagerie isn't available until you have a level 3 garrison and complete the quest Pets versus Pests

To upgrade your garrison to level 2 (at least for herbalist/miners who can't build a 3rd small plot profession building at garrison level 1 but possibly for everyone), you just need to build your barracks, and complete the questlines up to the Twilight Glade quest Bigger is Better.

I personally love the idea of the garrison, however I always pictured my Horde "house" in a lush forest or at least in a green area.
I am a hunter after all, the forest is my home!

Small: 废品站等级3,附魔研究室等级3 (build while leveling, replace with ur own 2 profs at 100),
Medium: 伐木场等级3, 货栈等级3
Large:兵营等级3, 侏儒工厂 / 地精车间等级3

For those wondering where to buy your blueprints look no further!
If you goto your capital city for Horde you can buy it for a special item that you get from questing Torgg Flexington.
But if you want to spend gold as a Horde goto your garrison and look for Rezlak.
As alliance its similar but different NPC's of course.
Kinkade Jakobs For special item currency in the Capital City. And then the gold vendor at Sparz Boltwist. The gold vendors for both Alliance and Horde are right next to your architect table. A Goblin or Gnome. Cheers and good luck!

Note that the items you get from quests can differ, there are two different types Outpost Building Assembly Notes which are used to buy things like Garrison Blueprint: Salvage Yard, Level 2 or Garrison Blueprint: Frostwall Tavern, Level 2. While the other one Comprehensive Outpost Construction Guide can be used to get things like Garrison Blueprint: Spirit Lodge, Level 2 or Garrison Blueprint: Mage Tower, Level 2. But if you plan on just spending gold it can cost either, 750g, 1,000g, or even up to 1,500g. I hope this helps!

not sure how many people are aware of the fact you can get ALOT of resources and boost your garrison in a short period of time by farming the rares and treasures(using the maps purchased to show treasures on your map). hope this helps:)

In order to get the 兄弟要塞 achievment both parties need to have a level 2 town hall. Could not find this tidbit anywhere and now i know, also it may be a little known fact, you can mine and herb in your garrison WITHOUT having said skill.

Improve your work orders in Forge (for use by blacksmiths)

--> Blacksmithing Can reduce your durability damage and increase work order output when assigned to the Forge.
A follower with this trait can be assigned to work in the level 2 or higher Forge.

When working in the building, the building's work order yield is increased (affected by the follower level) and you are allowed the use of two special buffs which are gained by talking to the working follower:

铁砧之歌- No weapon or armor durability loss from use for four hours
锻炉的慰藉 - A chance to summon Guardian of the Forge to help you in combat while Draenor outdoor zones for four hours

(Rulkan = only follower with Blacksmithing)

Before you can take Rulkan's quest to get her as a follower, you must go through the quest chain starting with 深入暮光, and eventually get 追逐暗影 which sends you up to Exile's Rise to meet Rulkan.
She will then give you the quest, 先祖的记忆, which just has you hop down the cliff, go into the cave, and click the totem in back. She'll join you in the cave and show you a vision.
At the end, turn in the quest, and when you take the quest 鲁尔坎, you get her as a follower.

(Na'Shra = only follower with Blacksmithing):

In Frostfire Ridge, Initiate Na'Shra (65,0; 39,5) in Gate of the Breakers offers 锻铸武器 for you and after completing it, Weaponsmith Na'Shral joins your garrison.

Level 2 Small Blueprints cost 750 from Rezlak or Sparz Boltwist. They are free if you have 岗哨建筑施工笔记, which you get on completing your Outpost quest chains.

But only for two of the Outpost quest chains. You can only get 岗哨建筑施工笔记s in Gorgrond (level 92) and Spires of Arak (level 96). (You clarified that when talking about the medium plots, but not the small ones.) I would also add in parenthesis in the small plots section that 岗哨建筑施工笔记s are also used to upgrade medium buildings and visa-versa. Otherwise people might not notice that you are talking about the same thing in both cases.

Under large plots, you should clarify that the 岗哨建造综合指南s are only from the outpost quest chains in Nagrand and Talador.

You can re-arrange the buildings in your garrison buy going to the architect table, grabbing a building, and dragging it to a same sized plot. The buildings swap places without any loss of upgrades or work order progress.

after several tries of attempting to upgrade my small buildings, I finaly figured it out. You need to BUY the blueprints (mine were for 750G) from Sparz Boltwist, LEARN them (duh! on me :) ), then upgrade by GOING TO the architect table, DRAGGING the icon over the old building, and PAYING another 300G and 100 resources. That should do it! Good luck!

A little bit more than a month ago, I decided to replace my Dwarven Bunker with a Stables, because all my followers were 655ilvl. I'm not sure why, but I brainfarted and started 21 work orders, before replacing the building.

I just read the patch notes for 6.1, and 675ilvl is the new cap for followers. I therefore decided to get Dwarven Bunker back.

as I replaced Stables with the Dwarven Bunker, it said I had 21 COMPLETED work orders for the Dwarven bunker. Kinda cool!

I am not sure if this is stated anywhere, but it suprised me anyway!

I am a altoholic, I don't Raid, and I don't PVP. Those things color my response.

My experience with buildings is that you should;

1) Get a level 2 Garrison immediately. Open the mine and mine there every day.
2) Build a Storehouse (sm bldg) asap. The extra 5 work orders come in handy. I keep all mine at level 1. YMMV.
3) Build a Trading Post or Lumber Mill (med bldg) asap (level 2 min), The former eats crafting mats and the latter is time consuming. For me the TP is much better. YMMV.

My strategy is limit my work orders at the TP to six a day until the I hit a day when they want ore which I always have tons of. On that day I do the max number of W.O.'s possible (13 of 19 in my case). That allows me to skip a day when the requested mat is one I do not have lots of. For me that's Draenic Dust.

You need to accumulate large quantities of garrison resources because when you hit 100 you will nuts making new buildings and upgrading old ones. I want at least 5,500 GR's for that.

4) Open your Herb Garden as soon as your toons hit 96. Make it a level 2 asap and assign a follower.

5) Do not bother with the Salvage Yard (sm bldg) till you hit 100. The yield from crates and bags of salvage is crap until you do some heavy building. At 100 build your Salvage Yard to level 3 and War Mill (lg bldg) and start processing all the crates and.bags you have saved up.

6) If you just HAVE to have a Barn you've got a problem. You need both the Tavern and the Trading Post/Lumber Mill. Imo put off the Tavern until you are through building. I didn't and regret it still.

Retraining Followers;

Because at the moment I have 12 toons 92+ and 10* TP's I am accumulating lots of GR's. Many of the followers you get for doing quests in the intro zone have a gathering or crafting trait you can't use. Getting rid of that trait is a royal p.i.t.a.. You need to get rid of bad traits asap. This is easiest to do with the 1000 GR retaining guide when your follower is still green since you can't pick one trait out to be rerolled.The large number of toons I have obviously makes this scheme more viable for me. Also that's another reason for getting the Trading Post or Lumber Mill and doing the daily W.O.'s.

The retraining cert. quests don't come up all that often and I would use them on epic followers only unless I have enough to waste a few.

Amazed no one mentions Harrisson Jones for leveling their little army of followers. Send him along with a really low level guy and see him level 5-6 level each mission due to Jones MENTOR ability to raise below100 followers to level 100 for this mission and get the reward for it. Being level 90 having a 15k experience makes wonders...

This guide says that you need to finish the Talador Outpost quests to unlock the L2 blueprints for garrison buildings. Not so. There is only one chain of quests you need to finish. The same one that awards the Red Comprehensive outpost Guide. The quests will vary depending on the choice you made for Artillery or Orb. And culminate in a quest to Gordunni Fortress with an npc that will become your follower. There are numerous other quests given at your Talador outpost that are unneeded as far as unlocking the L2 blueprints.

You can upgrade your Garrison to Level 2 at 92 or earlier on completion of the questlines culminating Bigger is Better/ Bigger is Better.

My garrison has an Engineering Works and with it a quest Your First Engineering Work Order. I have placed and picked up the order 4 times over the last 2 days and collected 22 gear parts so far, but the quest will not complete. Any ideas?

Not sure if this has been updated yet, but as of 7.0 Salvage Yard was nerfed to the point of redundancy:

60% of the time you will just get Garrison Resources
20% of the time you may also get some herbs, ore or other materials
20% of the time you may also get follower upgrades
10% of the time you may also get class specific gear (useful only for wardrobe)

So basically, once you have the wardrobe set, exchange it for something more useful. There's also an NPC with repair function, but there's other NPCs around for that in any case.

Important note: You will not see level 3 blueprints at the blueprint vendor until your Town Hall is level 3. For those of us with alts, that 5k gold cost to upgrade the garrison is required to enjoy the benefits of the highest tier of the professional buildings for a given alt. This is automatically thrown in when you boost a character to 100+.

I created a Demon Hunter Blood Elf so as to more easily unlock the allied races. I did not need to go to Blasted Lands to start Garrison quest line. I took the portal to Ashran in the Warchief's area and from there met with Thrall and another orc. Just follow them and do the little quests they give you and ta-da, you'll have your garrison built in less than 5 minutes.

Just a quick note: in your "Garrison Outpost" section, you stated that

you can grab alternate followers from outpost questlines. In 6.1, you can purchase the alternate followers for 50 from your Garrison

... it's actually 5000 gold.

If you just boosted a new toon with the upcoming Shadowlands xpansion, all you need to do is take the portal to Stormshield from the Stormwind portal room, fly to Lunarfall via taxi, fly to meet Velen @ 26,8 (Northwest of Lunarfall next to the beached ship) and pick up the quest Finding a Foothold. Boom, welcome to your new garrison adventurer! (Same for Horde, just substitute Orgrimmar location and Thrall)

I don't know whether this is mentioned before but now if you have already done the pre-quests for the garrison on another character, there is no need to do them again. What you have to do is the following: Once you reach level 90, go to stormwind where the portals are and take the one that goes to Jade Forest. There take the flight path to Timeless Isle (or fly there yourself). Once there start running to the eastern part of it. There you will find a ship that is also shown on the map. Right under water the ship, there is a cave. Get in the cave, sit in one of the chairs and while sitting click on the fire in the middle. You will be summonned to Gorgrond in Draenor. From there you will have to fly all the way south to the Shadowmoon Valley and find the quest to start your garrison. This quest will be shown at the map. From there you will do a couple of quests and then you will build your garrison.

The easiest way to get 要塞物资 is to buy 巨大的食人魔箱子 from an auction house.
But it can be very expensive sometimes so the 2nd way is to go to Tanaan Jungle and Nagrand and kill rares. I recommend this list. It is about 100-200 resources for each so you can get 2000 in just 2 days: 邪能监工玛德拉普, 达库姆, 萨姆逊·强掠, 贡达, 普格, 鲁克都格, 甘克
