Always cast 燃烧 when moving. If you know you will have to reposition, move in the direction you want to while on the gcd from casting 燃烧.

A well-positioned 恶魔法阵 can benefit you massively and increase your dps significantly if it means not having to run for an extended period of time.

Knowing when to spend soul shards on 火焰之雨 and 暗影灼烧. If you have these available, it's sometimes better to dump a shard on one of these than overcapping and losing out on the benefits you gain from spending soul shards.

Prioritize your spells correctly when being able to cast - Meaning, if you've had to run for an extended period of time, knowing what your priority list is and getting that up and running as quickly as possible is also going to make a big difference on your dps.

3 or more targets up. This changes to 5 or more enemies if you have 浩劫 up.

You have to move and can't cast to avoid capping on soul shards.

混乱之箭

Fewer than 3 enemies up. This is again 5 or fewer enemies if you have 浩劫 up.

The targets might move out of your 火焰之雨.

Some of the targets are low health and might die during your 火焰之雨, bringing the amount of mobs down to less than 3.

There is a priority target that should be damaged down rather than dealing AoE damage.

Offensive Cooldown Usage for Destruction Warlock in Dragonflight

浩劫 - While being a relatively short cooldown with a high uptime, being able to utilize your 浩劫 properly is going to significantly increase your damage output. You need to know when you should farm up soul shards prior to using 浩劫 and then dumping with 混乱之箭 being duplicated. But also when to farm up more soul shards with 浩劫 and dumping them on 火焰之雨. The rule of thumb is: On 5 or more targets you use 浩劫 to farm shards, on anything less you need to have shards farmed up prior to 浩劫 coming off cooldown.

召唤地狱火 - A good portion of our damage is dealt during our cooldown usage, meaning you will want to make sure you use this cooldown correctly. It's always worth using this on multiple targets, as long as you don't miss out on a use of this during the encounter or dungeon. In that case, it's most often going to be more worth using it as often as you can. This cooldown is further empowered through talents like 混乱之雨, 粉碎混沌 and 地狱烙印 making it significantly more important.

次元裂隙 - A less important cooldown, but still worth mentioning. You will want to always keep this on cooldown, but consider saving charges for when damage is needed on a priority target.

毁灭化身 - While being a proc and not a cooldown in the traditional sense, this is still an effect that can be played around and timed well in order to optimize your benefit from it.

I notices that the Chaos Bolt tooltip actually shows it having a cost of 20 soul shards, which it definitely hasn’t!

Please update guide. Talent builds in particular need updating. With current stat levels eradication and internal combustion are taking a back seat to Flashover and reverse entropy in 1 target scenarios. Especially depending on what azerite traits you use.
