Changes To Night Fae Protection Paladin in 9.2
There were no changes for Night Fae Protection Paladins in 9.2.
9.1 Conduit Tuning
Night Fae Protection Paladin Covenant Abilities
So you've chosen to align yourself with the Night Fae of Ardenweald. They offer many advantages to a Protection Paladin. As a part of your choice, you'll get access to cool armor, new progression systems, world content, and two new abilities:

- Makes attacks do a small amount of damage and reduce enemy attack speed

- Increase Healing Done and Received

Night Fae Conduit for Blessing of the Seasons
Like all Covenant Class abilities, there is a Conduit available:

. This conduit isn't something that you'll use during the first few weeks of your Soulbind progression. Other Potency options are just better. But as you gain access to more Potency slots, you'll want to integrate
漫漫长夏
into your Soulbind paths so you have a more well rounded Covenant class ability. The conduit is a passive DPS increase for when you use
仲夏祝福
. I recommend using the conduit whenever you can because it will help reinforce the support nature of your Covenant choice.
Protection Paladin Conduit Guide
Night Fae Protection Paladin Signature Ability:

The signature ability for Night Fae is
灵魂变形
that will allow you to move around the battlefield on-demand. It's really strong if you can pre-plan, such as needing to move quickly in response to a specific mechanic. You can also use it to kite trash in Mythic+ as this will keep you out of range. Just note that casting abilities will break and end the effect.

This legendary will help you supplement your covenant fantasy as a support player. However, this legendary is not intuitive to use. It will require you to know when to use Seasons and the recipient will need to know to save their abilities. It will not be an easy legendary to use and you might get more value from other options. I do not recommend crafting it unless you can coordinate it properly.
Other Legendary Interactions for Night Fae Protection Paladin
Currently, the other legendary that gets enhanced is
疯狂圣贤
.
暮秋祝福
allows you to have increased uptime of
复仇之怒
since it would have a shorter cooldown and you would have more access to
愤怒之锤
to extend the duration if you overlap them. You would only use this legendary for DPS. However, in order to figure out if this legendary will be a DPS gain for your character, you should sim on Raidbots.

Best Night Fae Protection Paladin Renown 80 Soulbind
For raiding and Mythic+, you'll be using Nyia. The main difference is that you'll switch out of

is not a rotational ability. You should use it strategically depending on the situation and your party composition. For example, if you have an intensive healing period coming up, you can plan on using Blessing of Spring on your healer. Blessing of the Seasons requires high situational awareness and encounter knowledge as that will be your best way to use it.

Selecting Night Fae as your Covenant will have no impact on gear choices. You'll still want to gear with the general gearing strategy:
Item Level > Haste > Mastery = Versatility > Critical Strike.

Night Fae Protection Paladin Soulbinds Explained
Soulbinds are a progression system in Shadowlands that you'll unlock as you complete story and weekly quests from your Covenant Hall. Here are recommended paths for each Soulbind you'll unlock as a member of the Night Fae. With each bind, I've included notes on what you can switch and what conduits to use.
This is the soulbind you should use the most in any type of content. It has really strong traits that can apply to any situation.
林地复兴
is a passive stat proc that stacks and when you use your Covenant ability you gain extra stacks.

turns

into a bit of a heal. Swift Patrol can make moving from Pack to Pack easier in a dungeon.

is passive damage that can trigger from Avenger's Shield. The damage is low but you can have it proc often.

does work on raid bosses. You can use that for DPS.
For survivability in raids, you can switch over to

is a nice ability that gives you a run speed bonus.

is a defensive trait that will make it easier to recover your health with Word of Glory and give you passive healing. It won't stop you from dying but it will reduce some pressure when your HP is low.

is a passive skill that is more effective when you buff people of other covenants.
Dreamweaver is one of the worst Soulbinds in the game for tanks. Why? SImple.

When you die as the tank, you lose all threat and the situation can get a bit wild. The way

works is that it automatically triggers if it's available so you have to sit there for 10s until it finishes. You can't click it off and you can't opt out of it. In that 10 seconds, your group could be dead in difficult content making the
灵茧守护者
trait a waste. In most cases, it's better not to take Dreamweaver and just use Combat Reses if this situation ever occurs. Now if you're doing content where you never die, then
灵茧守护者
also has no value and you're using another soulbind anyway. Cheat Deaths should be valuable as recovery from mistakes and
灵茧守护者
does not really help with recovery on a tank. It hurts more than helps.
This could be your soulbind for Holy or Retribution. I would not recommend using it for Protection.
Koryan is the soulbind you'd use when focusing on more defense or even utility.
荒猎团战术
is a passive damage increase that's active when your target is above 75% hp or a passive healing increase when it's below 35% HP. This will increase your Hammer of Wrath damage in the execute phase.

is a nice utility trait that turns

into something similar to Stampeding Roar or Wind Rush Totem. It's really nice to have sometimes.
勇面敌人
is a good passive damage reduction trait that offers a lot of consistency when you need to kite, in dungeons, against magic etc. It also gives you access to a Potency conduit slot to use for
漫漫长夏
.
However, when you're doing very specific raid bosses like Guardian of the First Ones, I would recommend using
坚守阵地
as that will be more damage reduction against heavy hitting physical damage bosses.
沃卡伊伏击
is a nice trait since you'll get a damage bonus from using Avenger's Shield or Blinding Light.

is some passive leech that won't make or break but will serve as a passive bonus.

is a passive DPS increase that supplements

I might be wrong, but Podtender was the main reason i chose NF for my Protpala. Its just a oops I failed savenet in raids because the second tank can just continue tanking while you regen. Most likely a missed taunt or dr use. Based on past encounters in the game its unlikely a killing blow mechanic occurs twice in 10sec. Will report my experiences after the soulbind and the raid are live.

Wild Hunt Tactics is a passive damage increase that's active when your target is above 75% hp or below 35% HP. This will increase your Hammer of Wrath damage in the execute phase.
I don't think this is correct. The tooltip says it increases damage to high health targets, and increases
healing
to low health targets. It doesn't say it increases damage to both.
