Hero Talents are self-contained talent trees coming in 11.0, The War Within. Hero Talents are the next step in class fantasy and design focusing on empowering abilities based around a theme.
What Are Hero Talents?
Hero Talents are an extension of the Talent system designed to explore class fantasy. Many Hero Talents are inspired from characters within the Warcraft universe and fantasies that players resonate with. Hero Talents are a third talent tree, separate from your class and specialization. Unlike regular talents, you will earn all 10 Hero Talent points on your way to level 80, allowing you to unlock all the hero talents, similarly to Legion Artifact Weapons.
Hero Talent Details
Hero Talents are designed to more deeply explore class fantasy.
Hero Talents are completely flexible. They can be changed the same way as regular talents.
Hero Talents are spent with standard talent points, gained from leveling up.
Hero Talents will still offer choices in the form of choice nodes which appear in the standard talent trees.
Each specialization will have the choice between two hero talent trees, each being shared with one other spec.
There are 39 Hero Talent trees - the same number as there are specializations. Each spec has access two Hero Talent trees, each shared with another spec in the class.
Hero Talent trees are generally designed around a certain few spells that fit a theme, and empowering them.

Some names of Hero Talent Specs have changed since the initial reveal, such as Ruby Adept to Flameshaper Evoker

Blizzard showed off the Balance Druid Hero Talent Trees at Blizzcon:
Keeper of the Grove
and
Elune's Chosen.
Elune's Chosen focuses on empowering your lunar abilities and is available to Guardian and Balance, while Keeper of the Grove focuses on
and it's treants, available to Restoration and Balance.
The first point in a hero talent tree is free, and focuses on the main theme of the tree.
Each Hero Talent tree will have 4 choice nodes.
The choice nodes choose between doubling down on the theme or, not focused on the theme but balancing out the tree.
All Hero Talent trees will end with a capstone talent similar to the first talent.

I really hope Blizzard gets it together because these look pretty lackluster so far. I mean nobody cares about 5-10% dmg increase and 3% leech and so on.... We want exciting passives or new abilites or new interactions between abilites not % dmg increases and such that's just something nobody cares about in my opinion. I don't even care we only get a few of these if they are exciting just don't put in these lackluster talents that doesn't really do anything because it makes these look like a joke to be honest.

San'layn seems to have anti-synergy with Blood DK talent Crimson Scourge. Because you cannot auto-attack someone to refresh DnD if blood plague is consumed?

I will remain on my DK in War Within, unless Prot Warrior or Pally would be able to weild two handed weapon with a shield. Or even better make Templar, Colossus and Deathbringer to do that insanity no matter of dps or tank specs

should let monks have a glyph that lets you use weapons to attack with, like an opposite glyph of jab.
and you should let some classes use more weapons like monks with 2h swords.
Then my orc will be a blade master.

Know some of these aren't well liked but I'm still excited. Work in progress and all that so hope by alpha what's not liked is ironed out a bit too. But aside from that the theming seems super fun and am excited for the final results.

welcome. Something that allows movement during Shifting Power, etc.
*Blizz has seriously over-governed this spec - in an attempt to 'balance'. What should be one of the most powerful (according to lore) specs...is currently a joke & needs love.

This is bs imo. All they have done is taken a specs individual abilities and now made them across all specs. The uniqeness of a charactor, desire to try ot build something different is completely gone. There is always only one spec for each class in each role that excels because the balancing is always way off. Now add in the fact that you can be a guardian resto druid, or a arcane mage that deals major fire damage or a blood dk with unholy burst or some other crap, makes this game go from going bad to getting way worse. Toons are now flooded with the need to have 3 bars to handle their abilities and even then it may not be enough. There is no diversity amongst toons. How many have a battle res, or hero now? Those were a single class per race specific and made you a value to a raid team. Now with the self heal and the other bs, you can watch a player solo a 25 key. Blizz, ya need to get back to your roots. I am not one to play classic ( you can never truly relive those first few kills), but toons were unique. Thats part of the success classic is having; old school players dont like the bs mangle of chars that are around now.

Druid's feral ones are great, druid is finally able to properly change forms while tanking or healing.
DK's vampire mechanic with damage reduction when on low life, leech and damage increase is great, not mentioning the full hp ally ress.
DK's apocalypse horsemans is amazing, also being able to mount while in battle.
Paladins summoning buffs for ppl to get is very cool.
Shaman's summoning ancestors is amazing, but they need a good variety to not become visually boring, and a variety of skills used too.
All other classes seems boring to me, damage modification isnt something who makes me hype, ill choose wathever talents boost more and thats it.

The shatter tree is obv AOE heavy, which I don't generally go for, but I'm a casual who farms old content so I don't really NEED that, but I can see that being VERY popular for M+. Def excited to see how that looks, I bet it'll be awesome

I'll have to comment here since I don't have an active sub. As a warrior main eyeing specifically colossus, I think it's alright. I'm glad they reserved one tree for more down-to-earth warriors. I still don't get the 'colossus' aesthetic, I always envisioned Achilles from the Troy movie. Together with demolish and the size increase, it's like the devs want to make me feel like a dark souls boss. But anyway I think the incentives to build crit are great, I always thought it was under utilized especially since prot has a lot of crit dmg modifiers. I also like the demolish root, I like having different textures of offense, not just hit button -> attack. But I wish they would've gone about it differently.
I wished they leaned in more on our existing procs and making them hit harder, perform faster, or even behave differently when consumed alone or sequentially with other procs. I would replace an ability like this in place of demolish.

I.e
I just got a sudden death proc. I can use "demolish" to turn my next execute into a channeled execute that deals massively increased damage.
Or I just got a shield slam proc, I activate 'demolish', my proc gets stronger each second to a cap, I also gain some movement speed but I can only use defensive cds until I consume the proc. The defensives I use during this window are less effective but have less cd.
For my revenge procs, after activating 'demolish', my next 2 offensive abilities have much faster gcd, consume no rage, but are weaker.
I like the idea of this new 'demolish' being a charge-based ability, because I have the option to spend charges as they come off cooldown for smaller, more frequent impact, or I can hold charges to max stacks to spend them all at once for maximum proc enhancement. These decisions lean stronger into the martial master tactician-fantasy. Whereas the current demolish builder-spender loop feels more-of-the-same as existing mechanics. Maybe the lower charge expenditures are just stat increases to procs, with higher expenditures incur the effects I listed above. Not just for balance reasons, but also playstyle reasons; for the players who feel overwhelmed by all the choices and want simpler gameplay.

Some of these should just not be so heavily themed. I'm an orc hunter, why would I have anything to do with dark rangers or sentinels? the theming is so off. Also, Mountain Thanes are a Dwarf thing, being a mountain thane as an undead makes 0 sense

From what I read up top, these "hero" talents require you to use the same points you put into your main/spec trees. If that is the case, unless I am forced to do otherwise, I will not be putting any points into them and just use them in the normal trees.

For Ele and Enh could they not just add something to play around lightning shield to make it an actual Defensive, Something thats more than just a button you press every hour.
Make it like if you have full charges of lightning shield you take 30 percent reduced damage from all sources and then for every charge of lightning shield that gets used the damge reduction is also reduced down to 5 percent. and then give it like a 45 second to 1 min cd.
