My name is Guiltyas, I'm currently raiding in Pure-Turalyon, where I joined towards the end of BFA. I've played Feral Druid since Wrath of the Lich King when I first picked it up as a main spec, since then I've engaged in almost all aspects of the game, from RBGs, to Challenge Modes, to Arena's, and of course to fairly high end raiding (around world 100 at the moment).
I've been an active and enthusiastic member of the feral druid community since discord heralded a new era of engagement among spec communities, I'm fairly well respected as a source of information and back that up with a long record of high end feral performance, I've claimed multiple rank 1's across different fights in different raid tiers, I've obtained Gladiator in the past (legion season 1), and now have a long history of providing information and help about about Feral Druid.

is somewhat divided by gear, however in practice I also think there's somewhat of a division by fight types and timings here,

has the advantage of only dealing damage to the target's you choose to do damage to so in a situation whereby there is frequent mobs that you do not want to damage it's significantly more convenient, while

fits far more damage into a much shorter time frame. Both of these options are competitive.

The 10.0.5 changes shifting damage out of

somewhat as well as the reduction in cost of

increases the opportunity cost of using inefficient generator's in incarnation and thus it looks like

in a majority of situations while also being significantly easier to play. In heavy AOE content where

is still a larger portion of your damage then

once again reigns supreme. My M+ builds below have a tendency to make small AOE sacrifices for ST gains as that's generally the area we're weakest however if you want more AOE damage then you can return to playing

in M+.
I'm not incredibly happy about these changes because I think Bloodtalons makes the single target rotation that little bit more enjoyable but I think it's unlikely to be addressed until a future patch.
Feral Druid Raid Talent Build
This is a pretty standard raiding build, it largely focuses on maximising your single target however one of the huge advantages of the new talent trees for feral is that it's very easy to adapt a build from being almost exclusively single target to being a solid AOE build by swapping a few points.

Talents that are marked in purple are talents that are good enough that they're usually better than their alternatives but if you particularly dislike them you can swap them out for one of the alternatives which are marked in yellow.

Feral Druid Compromise Build
Raid builds and AOE builds are all very tidy and neat however sometimes you're doing a boss that requires a bit of a compromise, a fight that's primarily single target but has periods of AOE, a fight like

to use a recent example. This is somewhat of a new problem for Feral Druids, our AOE talent options are very potent but are weaker than some of our strongest single target options. The goal with this build was to find a happy medium whereby you minimise your losses in pure AOE and single target while trying to get the best of both worlds, there's definitely swaps in several talents where you can opt into more single target or more AOE at the cost of the other, these simple swaps will be highlighted in the Potential Swaps tab.

Feral Druid Mythic+ Talent Builds
For Mythic+, Feral has a couple of options you could play with some variance between how heavily they focus on AOE or single target, Feral's AOE toolkit is largely mostly completed with a few talents very high in the tree and after that you can customise as you wish. With the relatively more expensive talent point economy in prepatch these choices are reduced further.
Feral Druid General Purpose Talent Build
This build is very similar to the General Purpose raid build above and has a decent emphasis on single target while picking up a few key AOE talents. It should be a solid general purpose build.

This build has a significantly larger emphasis on AOE and aims for a similar playstyle to the Bee's necrolord build that some ferals may be familiar with, this build is significantly harder to afford the points for in the prepatch however come the expansion proper this will be a very valid option

A core part of this build is

in order to mimic the necrolord playstyle in AOE. This talent setup does not sim particularly well but we're not confident that we have the behaviour of

modelled perfectly so it may very well be possible that this build is much better than it looks, as it is the primary reason to play this currently is for a similar playstyle to one you enjoyed in the past.

As of 12/16/2020, this guide could use a couple of updates.
The rotation tool still has Wild Fleshrending as a thing.
I heard the feral discord has a different recommended opener, something like: prowl; rake; BS to 3 CP; TF/Berserk; shred; rip; convoke -- but does that trigger bloodtalons? With no-crit luck, it would take rake + BS + (small pause to see if rake or first BS crit and note that it didn't) + BS + TF/Berserk + Shred. That is 5 or 6 key presses (time to macro TF into Berserk again), I guess that can be done in 4 seconds.
A lot of raiding ferals are using Heart of the Wild according to wowhead's talent calculator so I came here to see how to use it but that isn't really addressed. I haven't played balance much so I could really use some guidance. Are people using it for its 5 minute CD and if so, when do they use it and what do they cast? Are there moonkin abilties used outside of that CD?

Hey :) I think that 2 points in Carnivorous Instinct is worth more than Feral Frenzy, as it has an uptime of almost 100% in M+ and gives you a permanent 12% dmg boost. Feral Frenzy will not account for 12% overall dmg in Dungeons.

I'm not really sure why Tear Open Wounds is taken if Primal Wrath isn't taken; why not Taste for Blood for Single Target?
Why the hard need for innervate(for keys). Is the loss of a decurse/stun worth an innervate? Most seasonal affixes replenish healer's mana, so it's just a matter of...what's the science behind it?
