Interesting but useless note that I figured out by accident. Mages can Blink past the wall directly behind when phasing into the scenario. There's not much to look at, really. Less mobs to fight when wondering around. Flight Master's whistle seems to work inside, but I didn't test to see if it actually takes you anywhere.

The tint for killing all legion dungeon bosses seems to only track final bosses. I had to kill both final bosses in Violet Hold to unlock it. I didn't have to kill all the other bosses in VH which would have been annoying to get.

If you're never gonna use any of the weapon Transmogs is there any point to doing the artifact challenge quest? Is it the criteria for another bigger achieve?

Apparently I missed the 3 day window part. Just logged in to finish The God-Queens Fury only to find the mage tower that was up a few hours ago demolished and no way to finish the quest as of right now.

Anyone know if there will be another chance to finish the questline with the activation of the next two buildings? Or should I just toss the quest and accept the loss?

DH one is still buggy as hell, he teleported off the island... he didn't interrupt after i used 3. Umm polity tell blizz to lick a long Popsicle in the mouth. They cant even fix a fight 908 ilvl dh.

Completed it as a 900 resto shammy, with roots and boots. First phase is really hard, spend everything to survive wave 4, also it's have an oportunity to drink mana porion then you first melee is dead.
Hero on wave 5, after mage is dead it became much easier. Do not kite melee on p5, just tank it and control mage. Then only archer left it's hard to die even without mana.
P1 takes me about 20-30 tries (10 or more was very stupid)
Phase 2 (running) is a joke, you don't even need to wait for hero for it. Roots completely trivialise it, dps trinkets are usefull, but they are not necessary.
P3 took me 3 tries, with second with wipe on 0,8%. I used legendary head. IMPORTANT: Roots make boss fight MUCH harder! It`s hard to be low on hp with it, it wiped me on first pull.
For waves just hero on 1st adds, healing tide on 2nd, ascendance on 3rd if you wish. You should heal just 2 adds on 3rd wave.
Also i used Royal Dagger Haft (tank trinket from anomaly) for boss fight, it helps a lot.

Little tips: hero doesn`t bebuff your party, so you can use drums at the start of boss fight. I think it's even possible to pop drums on wave 4 and hero on wave 5 on first phase.
My talants for p1 was 1-1-1-1-3-3-1, artifact level 42, for boss fight i swithed to Ancestral Protection totem to save me from stupid deaths.

A few things to note about the the "All Legion Dungeon Bosses" appearance.
It does not actually require all legion dungeon bosses.
You can do these on any mode. Normal, Heroic, Mythic or Mythic+.
There might never be a macro in game to track this because its boss kills after a point in time. An addon would likely be able to track this, but no current in game script or macro exists that can track this until blizzard adds something.

Lower Return to Karazhan and Seat of the Triumvirate are not needed.
The non-final bosses are also not needed.

The list of bosses you have to kill on any difficulty with a challenge artifact skin equipped in order to obtain this appearance is:

I apparently started the initial quest with the wrong spec active. I assume there is a way I can pick up the challenge for the correct spec? I can't seem to find where that might be. Khadgar is silent, as are the people on the Broken Shore. Anybody have any information on this?

When I go to the Mage Tower and click on War Councilor Victoria, all I see is a note. Therefore I'm confused as to how I'm supposed to use my challenge artifact weapons.

i swear i read a post on mmo-champs about when the argus patch dropped they were making it so that you could do any challenge in any spec.(being prot for the fury one) for example. did i read this wrong some how or do you have to do something to make that possible?

As of Patch 7.3 the 4th artifact appearance now only requires you to complete 10 Legion Dungeons as opposed to ~~Defeat All Legion Dungeon Bosses~~

Thought I'd have a pop in 7.3 now that I have an ilevel of 914 and artifact is 947. Still hard and annoying. will come back when i am stupidly overgeared just before Blizz remove it.

Do you know if the apperance is "account bound" or "soulbound" to the character that killed Kruul? Also will you be able to still use the apperance if paying for a change to another race?

Is Blizzard going to add animations to "Might of the Grizzlemaw" like /dance, cry, sleep etc..? It just feels terrible having such an amazing skin which has no emotes at all.. :(

This may be a dumb question, but I'm coming back to the game, have gotten 110, done the Silithus quest that gives infinite artifact power, unlocked all slots on all artifacts, did the initial quests into the Broken shore (up to the point where you get the flightpath and things "calm down"), and the initial quests (and entire first zone) of Argus.

What do I NEED to do to unlock where I can try the challenges? The mage tower appears to be there, War Councilor Victoria is right there. But when I click her, there's just gossip text and no options to try any challenges. Do I need to do more Broken Shore quests, and if so, which ones? Do I need to get the 100 resources to build the (already built? I think I read somewhere as of 7.3 it's permanently built...) Mage Tower?

The guide doesn't really say anything and I didn't see anything in the comments about this. Maybe it's something REALLY simple, but I can't seem to find the info anywhere. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

After the release of Battle for Azeroth (tbh it was at the pre-patch) it is no longer possible to obtain the challenge artifact appearances, although, if you have them unlocked/gotten the base mage tower challenge appearance on a character it will be possible to unlock the other color variations (by completing the required steps) and transmogrify your gear into the artifact as well. Example, if you have unlocked "Ascended Watch" (Disc. priest) you will be able to transmogrify your weapon into this appearance as well as unlocking the other color variations. For druids, if you have unlocked "Might of the Grizzlemaw" (Guardian Druid) you can transmogrify your weapon/weapons into this and your bear-form will change into the werebear form (same goes for feral).

For anyone doing this post-Legion: don't be an idiot like I was and do the dungeons without actually wielding the artifact weapon while doing them. I just wasted hours doing all Legion dungeons and wondered why I didn't get the new tint—I assumed having the challenge appearance unlocked would suffice now that Legion is over. I even transmogged my current weapons to the challenge appearance beforehand, but you obviously need to use the actual artifact weapons and not your current ones, even while transmogged. It's not fooling anyone apparently.

I kinda wish the unlocks were account wide (do the required things on one character, get it on every class). As it stands right now, we're in this awkward spot, where you can't properly solo ToS yet, so unless you killed HC KJ on this character after obtaining the artifact, you'll have to wait another year to use it.

It's not game breaking, just a minor annoyance.

I would pay so much money to get these appearances back now :(
I played during Legion but never put in the time to do these, probs my biggest regret in gaming history.
Hopefully Blizzard dose more of these in the future

Just grinded out the 4th Tint (10 dungeons) in 9.1.5 with no problems. Artifact weapons in bags with Challenging tints selected. Used Shadowlands gear and Normal, Herioc, Mythic difficulties. No way to track other than by pen and paper.

I just spent a couple hours going through all the legion dg's on an alt to tick off another thing I've semi been putting off... The Dg Mage Tower weapon appearance tint!

A few notes
- I did most of them on normal, just for speed and ease... but I did complete kara on mythic (for a shot at midnight while I was there)
- my DH is lvl 53
- I only killed 1 end boss in Violet Hold (Sael'orn in this case)
- I completed 12 of the 13 dungeons (everything except Seat of the Triumvirate)... kept scratching my head after the 10th wondering why it wasn't showing up (when I returned to the class hall)
- I did not have the artifact item itself equipped, but I do have the mage tower appearance tmogged onto my glaives
- The appearance didn't actually appear until I RELOGGED >.< So if like me, you've done the 10... just log off and back on again!

I am now happily rocking the pinky/purple flame glaives :D
My only regret is that I can't complete more of the other mage tower base appearances now (and that I didn't push myself harder to do more of them back then)... really wish they had brought them back with the new mage tower :(
