To those who might be wondering when Part 2 will be around, the guess is spring next year. With Legion, it came in patch 7.2 which was released at the end of March 2017, ~7 months after the release of Legion.

The reward of 20% increased mount speed while in Kul Tiras or Zandalar: is that just for ground mounts? What I mean is, eventually we will get a Part 2, and that ought to unlock flying. The 20% mounted speed boost will help until flying is unlocked, but then what happens? I can imagine three things: (1) 20% speed boost for all mounts, ground and flying, in Kul Tiras or Zandalar, (2) 20% boost of ground mount speed, but doesn't apply to flying (when that gets unlocked after Part 2), or (3) this reward goes away after flying is unlocked, because it was only intended to bridge the gap from Part 1 to Part 2, so when you unlock flying, you lose this boost to ground mount speed. Once we get flying, most players won't need faster ground mounts, since they would just fly instead... still there are times when ground mounts are better. But I don't see why this reward from Part 1 would boost our eventual flying speed any.

As of today's date this achivement reward is bugged (Ain't giving the 20% speed buff until after relogg it's still in tool tip as only increasing mount speed on Broken isle)

The 20% mounted ground speed buff does not seem to stack with the 10% guild perk "Mount up" : I am at 220% speed while I was at 210% before completing the achievement.

The Mount speed increase stacks with 迅捷着陆 and 十字军光环, but not with 骑乘加速, so the fastest speed is 260% (200%+3x 20%)

OK, so I thought I could fly after Pathfinder 1 in BFA. Not so, I will wait now till ….when...to do Pathfinder 2 ? Anybody know? How is it that many are flying in BFA?

The increased mount speed seems to be a lie. I have the achievement. I have the passive 20% in my spell book. I didnt seem to notice a difference in speed. So I and a friend that just got BfA so they do not have the achievement used discord to start racing our mounts from one end of the dock to the next all the way to the stairs side by side. we stayed equal the entire way. If anyone else tries this and finds out they have extra speed let me know, I may need to submit a ticket.

Ok, I have four of the reputations (all but Voldunai and Honorbound) on my horde character, and Drustvar and 7th Legion on my ally character. I thought this achievement was cross-account?

As of patch 8.1

It needs to be noted in this guide that

"All of this does not unlock flying"

The title is misleading and had me looking through my achievements to see if I missed something for flying. I was even searching the net to see if there was a vendor for the flying or a special mount I needed. Even went in game and switched to a flying mount to make sure it wasn't just restricted on my druid flying form.

Suggestion
Title: "How to unlock flying in BFA"

Change to

" ***Flying currently not available, but eventually this is a start to how to unlock flying in BFA "

Let the rumor-mill ring, but from what I am hearing, the UN-VERIFIED release of BfA Pathfinder 2 may well be on Tuesday, March 11th, 2019. This would be consistent with Legion Pathfinder 2 release time frames.

Of course, the best thing you can do now is earn the BfA Pathfinder 1 achievement.

It may seem like a lot, but (on my main) I have done every quest in BfA. Reputation has been a factor in the past and is likely to be, again.

Reputation will come naturally if you just do ALL the quest-lines, World Quests, Campaign-lines, Battles, Invasions, etc... (be a regular player).

Besides, if BfA Pathfinder 2 requires new quest-lines, it is highly likely you will need to complete original quest-lines before they unlock.

To all this ... do you know when you could fly in BFA? at least to make it less boring and to be able to get faster to the few interesting places there are ... we go in the 8.1 parch and still nothing!

You can be pretty confident that when PF2 does get released it will require completion of min. 1 Mythic lvl raid/dungeon (probably Siege of Boralus at the very least). Players hopefully understand that ilvl is no indication of ability to complete high lvl instances, which is why LFR is such a pain for group leaders. Most daily players who got BFA from day 1 are likely 660/70+ ilvl on their main by now, but that means very little if they don't study raid & dungeon boss/mob mechanics & abilities, or don't raid &/or dungeon run as part of normal gameplay.
Probably have to complete a min number of IE's & complete all Warfront tasks + rep grind with new factions as well. Basically, if you're a casual player who just likes to solo round BFA it means you'll be drawing your pension by the time you get the achievement. Blizz will make this a real pain in the a**e to get as they feel flying negatively impacts immersion, particularly on relatively small land masses (islands). Just unlock all the Flight Paths & have a healthy stock of Goblin Gliders to make do in the meantime.

Guys, stop ragging on the OP. Even if you never played the game before, wouldn't the fact that it's "Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part 1" automatically tell you that since it's numbered....and it's Part 1....that there is at LEAST going to be a part 2? Right under where it says "Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder: How to Unlock Flying in BFA" it clearly shows "Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part One". Don't be coming on HERE to troll now.

Spoiled brats. I always hate when they allow flying. Game really loses substance when you put flying in, people with gather Bots flood the auction house, players drop out of the sky gank you or instant Fly Away when you trying to fight them.

Hi. I have BFA pathfinder I in my warrior. Now I change my main char for a warlock. In 8.2, can I continue the progress for Bfa pathfinder II on my new char, or I must do all progress on it to unlock part II?

WTF over. I have done it all Part 1 and Part 2 and everything in all the requirements check on my character shows everything 100% or Complete. What's the damn deal. Why can't I fly?

Man oh Man...

Do You remember the Rep Grind needed for the Opening of AQ? This "grind" as so many call it has been around forever. You do NOT have to do it if you don't want to. The revered Rep for which you need will come naturally as you play. But back in the day, you had to scrape every bit of Rep you could in order to be one of the few who actually got to Bang that AQ Gong!
Does it suck on occasion? Maybe, depends on the attitude imho. But it's just the game and I guess you have to just work towards what you want.
"I wanna Fly, but I don't wanna do the work!" C'mon people, just have fun playing what ya like and it'll happen!

I'm actually glad to see daily's again, the only thing that bothers me is the fact that you can never find what you're looking for. Sticky seaweed for example takes at least 30 minutes for me. I finished the day with only 6 of the rays and I needed 15 I think. It takes so long to get anything done, it's crazy.

Daily's are my jam though. I can run them like it's my job. I remember back in TBC when you picked up daily's in Shatt and then went to all the zones in Outlands to do them and then you'd port to Isle of Quel'danas and do a bunch there. I could probably do all those daily's from back then in half the time it's taking me to do the few we have now. They need to up the quest items/mobs for a little while.

Another thing that bothers me these days is not being able to control what server you're on or having any kind of faction balance. I'm Alliance and I played on a mainly Alliance server for years. Now I see tons and tons of orange names the entire time I'm on. Just a sea of unfriendly. I have to wait until they're done killing everything in sight before I can even start my quests. The only time they're a welcome sight is when a rare is up.I can't even imagine what it would be like if I turned on WM. I'd be sitting with a rez timer all day.

Does anyone know if I can have one alt get Revered with Unshackled and another alt get revered with Rustbolt, and finish the achievement? Or do you need revered on one toon (assuming all the other achieves are on that first toon as well). I was hoping to be lazy and just keep each toon in one zone since I have so many alts.

Thought this pathfinders were account wide ...
Do I really need to grind reputation all over again with various factions? Did all that and if I need to do it all over again with my second character I get to level 120 before I can fly in Draenor :-(

The only pre-req left for me is the Rustbolt Resistance rep. I've done everything else on my Horde character. Since Rustbolt is a rep needed on both factions, can I continue this rep grinding with my Alliance character and have it count toward the achievement?

EDIT: I took a chance and continued with my Alliance toon to see if grinding Rustbolt rep on another faction works, and it sure did. Just completed the achievement, got BFA flying and the mount.
So, if you did all pre-reqs on Horde but you want to get the Rusbolt Rep on Alliance (or vice versa), it will count toward the achievement.

As of patch 10.0.7:

Flying in Battle for Azeroth zones no longer requires Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder.
