Is using 2 1-handers really better then a 2hander for WW's?

Only asking because looking at my stats it seems like you need less hit using a 2-hander which means more stats towards haste/crit which leads to more dps. Plus factor in that a 2-hander always has more stats then 2 1-handers of the same ilvl.

It is better; you need the same amount of hit/expertise for Special/Yellow damage as you do for a two hander.

And if you have two good one handers, their stats can equal what a two hander has.

Ok they need the same for special attacks but melee dmg is in the top 3 on the list, which means you need your white hits to hit most of the time. Just like when I played a Enhance shammy during Cata I needed 17% hit to make sure all my white attacks and spells hit, because melee was a top dmg for them too.

So has anyone actually tested both 2-hander and dual weild with same ilvl to see how much dps they did in each, not just how hard our special moves hit?

I have; I'm doing 20-30k damage more dual wielding.

Thanks Adamsm, guess I will focus on getting my 1-handers then. Really a shame that our fist weapons don't show in our attacks though.

Really? You just posted to rag someone on their spelling of the word Dual? You know that old saying "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". I know me posting this sounds hypocritical on that saying, but people really need to let the small things go.

Soon I'll be 90 with my monk, does it mather if you're 2h or DW?
Is what you guys are saying that DW is also better at PvP?

If you are a windwalker, stay with the dual wield.
