I just finished both 100 Algari thread. When one is completed, it will continue dropping despite not adding anything more when used, and it’s not possible to sell it (not even to get Mereldar Derby Mark for the excess). In other words, it's just that — a buff of +100 to Fishing and +100 to Perception account-wide (when the enchant is applied to the fishing pole).

This has been bugged for alts ever since they changed it to be doable by alts. I've reported it weeks ago and nothing has been done so I'm fairly confident it is not in "exploit" territory.

If you complete the fishing derby quest on one character and then log out, for the entire remaining duration of the 钓鱼大赛猛冲者 buff, every alt will instantly complete the quest when they catch their first non-grey fish. The flip side is all alts will NOT get any extra marks for unique fish caught with the derby buff until the 1 hour expires on your first character.

If you'd like to use this to get your 100个阿加寻猎之丝 and 100个阿加垂钓之丝 you should park as many alts as you wish next to the quest giver, do the quest on your main as fast as possible, log out, and then with the remaining time on your hour quickly complete the quest on your alts. You get two 阿加垂钓之丝s or 阿加寻猎之丝s for the quest turn in and 10 米雷达尔钓鱼大赛印记s which can net you one more. So 3 per turn in which requires around 66 alts (or multiple weeks). They are warbound so just put them in your warbank and you only need one character with the enchant on their rod to use them.

If you've unlocked the Dawnbreaker M+ portal, you can use it on all your lvl 80 alts to quickly reach the quest giver location.

The derby bug still works, and I've been able to get it to work consistently on every alt. The steps are as follows:

1. Log into every alt, and park them at 43.6, 57 on the dock area. You must log in to every toon you want it to work on before continuing.
2. Make sure they have Find Fish and its turned on for every alt.
3. Log into main and complete the quest as fast as possible.
4. In the remaining time left on your main's completed quest is how much time you have to log on to each alt and fish once to auto complete.

Did this today again and got another 30 alts completed in the time frame.

This achievement is earned when attaching Algari Anglerthread to your fishing pole. You cannot do so until after you have attached an Algari Weaverline to your fishing pole. Ideally you should attach this to an Aqirite Fisherfriend buit it can also be attached to Bismuth Fisherfriend or even to an Underlight Angler or some other pole. The threads are character specific, so if you attach a second Algari Weaverline to a different pole you will have the same amount of threads collected by that character. This achievement and the others like it share your threads with alts that have also applied Algari Weaverline to their poles, so the threads are not warbound until these achievements are earned. Algari Anglerthread can be fished up or purchased from vendors as a part of the Hallowfall Fishing Derby.
