I used a same-server, level 60 alt to place Personal Orders on my main and got this achievement and
私家匠师
in a few hours.
Specifically, I ordered Surveyor's Cloth Bands (cheap + Blue disenchanting) with a 12hr timer (cheapest). 50 pending Personal Orders seems to be the limit, so I swapped between ordering and fulfilling. On my server, the total cost was ~70k, including leveling and profession equipment for crafting speed.
Write a macro, use an addon, or simply do this is chunks. Save your wrists.
Hope this helps.

As mentioned by
Hamen
, it seems the easiest way to complete this achievement is by sending work orders to your own alts. I figured out the following macro that should make it easier to place work orders in bulk. You can place up to 50 orders, and then you have to switch over to your alt and start crafting.
Make sure you are at the Crafting Orders NPC with the Place Order tab open
Replace "NAME" with the character you are sending the work order to
Replace 47951 with the recipeID you want. 47951 is Runed Serevite Rod. You can use any recipe you like, though I don't know how to look up the recipeID on wowhead (they use spellID)
/run C_CraftingOrders.PlaceNewOrder({ skillLineAbilityID=47951, orderType=2, orderDuration=0, tipAmount=100, customerNotes="", orderTarget="NAME", reagentItems={}, craftingReagentItems={} })
When on your crafter, the following macro will attempt to click on "Start Order" or "Create" or "Complete Order". You'll still need to open up the work order and pick from the list, but spamming the macro will help go through the button clicks faster. Make sure you have the reagents available to do the crafting. (Edit: Updated for new confirmation prompt)
/run function c(b) if b:IsVisible() then b:Click() end end; f=ProfessionsFrame.OrdersPage.OrderView; c(f.OrderInfo.StartOrderButton); c(f.CreateButton); c(StaticPopup1Button1); c(f.CompleteOrderButton);
Afterwards, this macro made it easier to clear all the completed orders from my mailbox (make sure the mailbox is open):
/click MailItem1Button
/click OpenMailAttachmentButton1
/click OpenMailDeleteButton

Shot out to
shoogen
and
Frostybolts
. I was attempting to use shoogen's macro to submit work orders, and Frostybolts code to find the skillLineAbilityId for an engineering item. Finding the skillLineAbilityId didn't work for me dumping every recipe item as the item was more than 100 items deep in the recipes table. There seems to be a cap for the number of items that can be printed out in a single macro.
I ended up using this to target a specific work order item, where as an example
一把宁铁螺栓
is was what you wanted crafted:
/run for _, id in pairs(C_TradeSkillUI.GetAllRecipeIDs()) do local ri = C_TradeSkillUI.GetRecipeInfo(id); if ri.name == "Handful of Serevite Bolts" then print(ri.recipeID, ri.skillLineAbilityID, ri.name); break; end; end;
Just replace "Handful of Serevite Bolts" with the item you're targeting.
Edit 2024/03/17: make sure you've opened up your profession window at least once after logging in before running this script

the whole crafting system is somewhat pointless, so is this achievement. Seems blizzard wanted to implement something revolutionary especially with the specialization trees which honestly no one understands in depth. Which recipes do I get when, and will they give me Skill Up? You have to make a WOW Diploma on wowhead first to get it.....Its too complicated, too many clicks etc needed, and professions with DF are so annoying to level up this time its no fun. (eg Engineering). What a time sink overall.

Note that progress towards this achievement is not collated account-wide. If your character A is at 100 orders completed and character B is at 200 orders, it will NOT add them together to progress towards the achievement. You have to do the entire 1,000 orders on 1 character.

By the time I got this the other day, I had about 500 on each of my 3 other crafters (all professions: Ench/Insc, JC/Alch, Engi/Tailor, and the one I got it on BS/LW). Kinda lame, but at least I didn't have to intentionally farm it and just got it doing crafting orders as I would normally.
I would say anyone looking to farm it without just sending orders from an alt, Blacksmithing/Leatherworking is probably your best combo for people posting in chat looking for crafts and for sheer amount of classes that use your crafts (Everyone uses blacksmithing for weapons, plate gear has 3 classes. Leatherworking armor amounts to 7 classes, bow can be used by Hunter which seems to be requested regularly in chat on my full pop realm, off-hand much less so, but it exists). Enchanting and something else might be easiest if you spam chat, though, since crest mats have no quality which means no confusion from people, and you can just do it for tips with a resourcefulness tool to proc dracothysts. Obviously, enchanting won't be as effective in a couple weeks when 10.2 drops, but there may be a method in 10.2 that works just as well or better.

Here's step-by-step instructions on how to find the skillLineAbilityId for any craft that you can have ordered through Crafting Orders.
Go to Valdrakken and talk to the Crafting Order NPC to open up the Crafting Order UI window.
Search for whatever item you'd like to find the correct skillLineAbilityId.
Don't click on it yet, but first type into your chat window "/etrace" - this will open a new window that shows every in-game event happening. This is a lot of information but we only care about one thing, the event "ProfessionsCustomerOrders.RecipeSelected".
In the search box of the etrace window type "customer" and hit enter. Nothing will show, but this will keep us prepped for the next step
Click on the recipe/item from step 3 that you want to know the id of, you should notice that in the etrace window a new line has popped up.
Mouseover the new line labelled: "ProfessionsCustomerOrders.RecipeSelected..." and you will get a tooltip with 3 args, the 3rd arg is the skillLineAbilityId of the craft.
This is useful because you can be on any character regardless of their professions and find whatever id you need to put in your
macro from shoogen.
I personally wanted to order 26 treatises for my character's two professions, and used this method to find them.

Now, for Treatises you will likely want to provide the Artisan's Mettle, and shoogen's macro doesn't include that, so below I'll include how your macro should look for
炼金巨龙论述
:
/run C_CraftingOrders.PlaceNewOrder({ skillLineAbilityID=47601, orderType=2, orderDuration=0, tipAmount=1000000, orderTarget="CRAFTERNAME", customerNotes="", reagentItems={{quantity=10,itemID=190456}}, craftingReagentItems={} })
The big changes here are that since it's not my character crafting I upped the tipamount from 100 (1 silver) to 1000000 (100 gold). We also need to be adding into the reagentItems array(the non-quality specific reagents), a set of information detailing the quantity and itemId. In this case, 10 x
匠人之勇
. You'll need to send whichever character is crafting these items the other non-soulbound mats. It's probably possible to use two macros to specify the reagentItems and the craftingReagentItems arrays and then call that variable in the PlaceNewOrder macro. This works in one macro, and all you'd have to change is the skillLineAbilityID.
Now I wanted this for Enchanting and Tailoring so I modified the macro to use a numerical for-loop to go from the id for one to the id of the other and run both commands:
/run for i=47593,47599,6 do C_CraftingOrders.PlaceNewOrder({ skillLineAbilityID=i, orderType=2, orderDuration=0, tipAmount=1000000, orderTarget="CRAFTERNAME", customerNotes="", reagentItems={{quantity=10,itemID=190456}}, craftingReagentItems={} }) end
You can change the i=#1,#2,#3 so long as the #1 is lowest, #2 is highest, and #3 is the difference of the two (in my case 47599-47593=6). Happy macroing!

This achievement takes a lot of time and perseverance. Even with macros it's still time consuming.
Best of luck!

Speaking out for others who find the practice of sending yourself or your alts craft orders so they get this achievement to be a total fail by Blizzard. I have no way of showing that the 570 crafting orders and 316 personal crafting orders were legit and crafted for other people. No discernable credit for interacting with other players, negotiating prices, and providing a service for my server.
