... so much as a maniacal group of fanatical blade-wielding zealots.
So how is this done if people had cleansed it off with the quest
you need Defeat N'Zoth the Corruptor in Ny'alotha, the Waking City after all players have accepted the Gift of N'Zoth on Normal difficulty or higher.
N'Zoth assaults players' Sanity throughout the encounter. When your Sanity reaches 0, N'Zoth invades your mind fully, granting
Blesses an insane player with 100% increased damage done and 100% healing done, but causes the player to become a
after 20 sec.
Severs a target's connection to sanity, charming them permanently and causing them to do N'Zoth's bidding, casting
For this achievement everyone in the group must get to 0 sanity to get the
and then defeat N'Zoth.
Once everyone is below 50 sanity, make sure no one soaks
so that everyone gets to 0 sanity and receives the
. From there use Timewarp and nuke the boss.
Update (January 26): As long as all players have received the
, everyone in the group will get the achievement even if players died during the fight or at the end of it.
The timing of this achievement and the way it's worded leads me to believe that this might possibly be a Critical Role reference to Jester and The Traveler.
Do the fight normally until the boss is at 20% and then have everyone go insane from standing in anguish. Hero and burn him. With the Gift damage buff on everyone, it should be more than enough. If your guild's damage is too low though, you can always get the boss even lower before going insane. Keep in mind that the fight ends when N'Zoth is at 3% health.
If people go insane early in the fight, it will still count. However, it will not count if people die to other stuff without going insane and don't get a battle rez.
Did this achievement on live yesterday finishing my guild's Glory. Though the
is simple from previous posts, if your
procs are out of sync, it can be a hell to execute because part of the group will get Gift early, die, and you risk wiping when the rest tries to end the fight.
We used the following
coordination: you use it after
, just after
but well before
. The time between the first and second Psychus kill must be at least three minutes: if you can't get this to work, use the first Radiance during
(you can lose a bit of boss damage here) to time the cooldown better.
Phase three execution:
Make sure everyone used
away from the group and
Group up, Warp/Hero/Lust and kill the first
, but don't finish N'Zoth yet.
Drag the second
away from the group, don't soak
raidwide (but we're not a cult!) and finish the fight within 20 seconds.
Tl;dr, the whole group should be on 100 before Harvest and you simply ignore two
and finish it off with a bunch of lunatics. Dropping 5 from an occasional Paranoia or Anguish should not disrupt this strategy. I'd argue btw, that this is the optimal
for normal and heroic at this point: timings on Radiance are ideal and the usage of Gift will simply speed up the fight's execution. It's in a sense similar how Gift is used to finish the fight on Mythic.
