As of today, we managed to get the achievement, with the last player being ALIVE, which also was affected by the Azerite. this is a very frustrating achievement to pull of, but it works!
To get this achievement you have to defeat Queen Azshara with only one player alive and that player must have the
buff on them.
This is probably one of the hardest achievements in the instance and it's probably impossible to do without voice coordination. Make sure that voice comms are clear and that everyone listens to the raid leader. Timing is really important for this achievement, don't be discouraged if you wipe a few times.
The end of the fight should look something like this:
Bring the boss down to 500k health points.
Have everyone except the 2 tanks and 1 healer stay in Ancient Wards to get 10 stacks of
The 3 remaining players now have to bring the boss down to 200k health points and stop all dps.
until one of the tanks (Tank 1) gets the
Tank 2 and the healer now have to get stacks of Ancient Wards and stay in
Once Tank 1 is the only player alive then they can kill the boss and get the achievement.
As long as the tank has 5+ seconds on the buff there should be no hesitation on killing Azshara. The tank will also die at the end of the encounter due to the
effects, however everyone will get the achievement.

Tanks should not be using The Crucible of Flame Essence.
If the tank without the buff applies a Ancient Flame dot, and get the killing blow after its dead, it can fail the achive.
is worthy of a mention for this achievement: our tanks (including myself) have exclusively ran the PSCD with Cyclotronic as damage cooldown. This very short duration cast is ideal to chunk her down to death after becoming the Essenced tank. The only sad part is that the Essence doesn't seem to buff this except for decreasing its already ridiculously low cast time.
i was wondering iff more people have the problem same problem me and my guild where having? We get the buff on random players even when nobody is at the console. How can we stop this form happening?
Very easy in Shadowlands. The (de)buff lasts for 50 or 60 seconds and gives a huge amount of haste. You can have your raid die off well over 350k HP and solo Azshara down. I activated the buff around 225-250k HP, and killed her around 15-20 seconds left, so feel free to drop her lower, especially if your item level is much closer to 200. I was 223 equipped, and flasked/fed/damage potion'd just to ensure victory, but there was no danger of dying to damage going out at that point. I was a Protection warrior, and with the Heart of Azeroth equipped I had 80k HP unbuffed.
Found out the hard way that a Priest with
active still counts as alive.
In DragonFlight this achievement is easy.
- Kill the two adds
- wait for the boss to come down
- tank the boss away from the console
- (at lev70 it is negligible to stand in the pink swirls)
- dps the boss to 500k or straight to 200k (having less ppl the better)
- everyone but the tank stand in the middle (the animation is a nice dark-bluey colour)
- everyone in the middle dies after a few moments
- tank takes the boss to the console, if you see the extra action button then you are close enough
- press the button, you get Essence of Azeroth, kill the boss asap, you dont need to wait
