Getting to this Gnome is tricky. To get to him you go to Ravenholdt Manor and he's in the basement. To get to Ravenholdt, you head directly East from Tarren Mill and you should find a narrow dirt path. You follow this up the mountain and then through a cave. After passing through the cave you will come to Ravenholdt Manor

Coor 84,19. Start at Tarren Mill. Go directly East to the base of the mountains; coor 75,24. This is the begining of a barely visible dirt path that traverses up the mountain that leads to a cave. Go Through the cave and continue on to the castle ahead. Upon entering the castle, take the staircase into the basement to find your vendor. Hope this helps.

coor means (x,y) Coordinates.

To get to any published coordinates, go to the in-game map of any district,

For the first number (x), move right from the left edge of the map the percentage of the distance to the right edge represented by number.

For the second number (y), move down from the top edge the percentage of the distance to the bottom edge represented by the 2nd number.

To find this guy, look for the path that starts 74% of the map width to the right and 25% of the way down from the top of the map.

The whole lot in that mansion is a separate faction called 'Ravenholdt' which is basically the rogue society in WoW... theyre neutral at first but u can declare war on them and ruin perfectly good chances of getting these schematics

coordinates for CT Mods is 75,23...it is in basement of ravenholdt manor, rogue place..a HUGE doh when i got there, never dawned on me to look in basement.

To find Zan, go north of Durnholde Keep to the hills, and take the path up to a small cave. This is a tunnel through to the Assassin's League headquarters. Zan is in the basement of the main building.

Once you get to the mountains above Durnholde Keep (keep away from the Keep itself: baddies), the path starts @ 75,23. Go up, go thru the cave (and no surprises if you are neutral or better with assassins league) and get to the house. He's in the basement @ 84,14 along with a poison vendor. He carries this recipe only 1 at a time. If you don't see it in the list someone might've just bought it before you so you have to wait.

Is he Ravenholdt faction, or unaffiliated?

I ask only because I've gotten on the bad side of the Ravenholdtians...some sort of misunderstanding regarding me slaughtering a bunch of their guards and then their boss. Could have happened to anyone, actually.

It took me about 35 min. of running around to find this place. If it weren't for the fact that I'd be saving 3g on the Cloaking Schem by buying it from the vendor instead of the AH, I'da said spork it.

Anyhow. Head north of Durnhold Keep. You want to keep to the mountains heading NW like you're heading towards Tarren Mill. The beginning of the path up the mountain is more-or-less directly north of the 'H' in Durnhold Keep on your map. Head up that path and through a cave. You'll find a large building. Once in the building, just a little to the left you'll see stairs going down. Zan's at the bottom. GL!

this schematic rocks for pvp and especially for low lvl pvp.

and you can gain good money too

bought one for 24s ..sold it in ah for 9g

The foot of the path up to the Ravenholdt Manor starts at (75.39,24.26) on the Hillsbrad Foothills map and (76.05,86.65) on the Alterac Mountains map, and can be approached from multiple directions.

As of March 2020, this NPC is no longer in the basement of Ravenholdt Manor, he is in the tower.

EDIT: I wonder if it varies by faction? On Alliance, he was up in the tower.
