This guy is bastard until you're roughly equal level with him, and even then can be pain in the butt to kill. Like the other cultists, his Voidwalker is more lethal than you'd expect, and he essentially just spams shadowbolts with ruthless efficiency. It's really easy to stumble upon him when you're killing in Skull Rock, especially if you're a warlock doing your 'walker quest, as one of Gazz'uz's spawn points is right by the chest that contains the tablet. Easily one of the most frustrating mobs to be encountered for low level Hordelings.

As the previous poster stated this is hard especially when mobs spawn just kill his Pet first since he hurts real bad :p Solo'd Level 12 Druid Trickz Sylvanas! :D

This mob is located in the back of the Skull Rock cave in northeast Durotar. He is level 14 and has a Voidwalker minion, like the Apprentices also in the cave. He is often encountered while hunting Burning Blade NPCs in this cave for the quest 隱藏的敵人.

I often skip him because I assume I need a quest to kill him, and would rather leave him for the players that do. However, he actually starts his own quest, via the item he drops: 燃影之眼. So be sure to take him out while preparing for your Ragefire Chasm run for a little bit of extra EXP!

Burn him down quick and then take down his vw. He doesn't take many hits but he dishes out a lot of pain. Use interupts for his spells if you can. I'd suggest clearing the area of other mobs too.

I hate this guy, he's ridiculously tough for the area. Either gain more levels or group up.
At 12, his voidwalker alone can 1v1 you.
Even with Ony or Rend buff, it's not worth trying to solo unless you're 14 with potions, or a class who can handle it.

Just go out of sight when he casts and kill the void first.
Keep doing that then kill him.

There were two of us in a group. Only one could get the Eye and could not share quest. We killed him again a couple of times and it would not drop for the other group member.

All Races:
1. Cast Drain Soul on a critter to receive Pure Soul Shard.

2. Cast Drain Soul on a named mob to receive Tainted Soul Shard, the named mob you need to drain soul on is as follows:
a. Tirisfal Glades - Maggot Eye, at the north end of farm directly north of Brill.
b. Durotar - Kazz'uz, at the back of SKull Rock cave in Northern Durotar.
c. Elwynn Forest - Hogger, at end of "peninsula" in South West corner of map.
d. Dun Morogh - Captain Beld, at Ironband's Compound in South-Eastern corner of map.

3. Once you have both shards, turn them in with a vendor, as follows:
a. Tirisfal Glades - Denton Bleakways, in Undercity near the Warlock voidwalker trainer.
b. Durotar - Darmak Bloodhowl, at Razor Hill.
c. Elwynn Forest - Damien Kane, in basement of Lion's Pride Inn at Goldshire.
d. Dun Morogh - Gaklik Voidtwist at Kharanos.

Be mindful that he respawns at different locations within the cave, Skull Rock.
