Yeah, ok... so I guess this guys SUCKS, badly. Everytime I'm just questing around... he comes around from some corner and kills me with three or four hits.

Also I don't believe this is a named NPC but a group of mobs scattered around silverpine to piss us off. I was just killing a level 21 (I'm 17) which was hard enough and RIGHT before I got the kill, slash slash slash, I'm dead. THANKS BLIZZARD.

Why is a 25 elite wandering an area with levels 12 mobs? In duskwood you can grind raven hill without running into Ladim if you stay south. Silverpine sucks. My first horde alt and look at this crap.

I have been surprised in multiple incarnations (alts) with this guy doing the lvl 12-18 quests in this area. I now know to watch out for him - but he has such a large wandering range that you can always be his victim - I will get him with a high lvl Hunter some day - Vengence will be sweet.

This guy appears out of no where most times and you're chances of escape aren't very good. It's ironic but this quest seems a lot harder than many upper level things because of the insane teleport spawn that this guy seems to be capable of.

I, a level 40 hunter was checking this place out after ready some comments here. There are 8 of him in SFK, but this one seems different. It may be grammar in his name but im not sure, Im gonna kill him to see what his drops are and rate them

this guy is very annoying. i was fighting lvl 12-14 mobs in the norther part and then out of nowhere this guy comes up behind me and kills me in 2 hits. (im a lvl 15 mage) i really no not like having him up that far and in a lower level area. there were many other people that were having problems with him as well. just wanted to c if anyone has had this problem and also if anyone agrees that he should not be in a low lvl area.

Man, I was slaying some Worgs for a quest (Wild Hearts), and all of a sudden this #$%^& sneaks up on me and kills my lvl 11 Undead Mage. Wasn't the first time, because he has killed me like 3 times already... in about an hour time :(

Whenever i reach lvl 25, I'm gonna nail the sucker!

I found him on my way to SFK with my lv 27 rogue. He put up a fight but i killed him, no blade though. On my way back from SFK i found it again and kill it once more, no blade =(

I must have been killed 20 times by this guy when my 2 character where around lvls 14 - 21!

But I killed him easily with my lvl25 rogue today, so I think i'll spend a few days grinding him to get him off lower levels back.

Look out for Vodroth on Defias Brotherhood guys.

You will kill him too just be patient and have some healing potions too :)

Killed 25 elite version as lvl 23 hunter... without my pet dying. Garbage drop - 2s32c and 1 melon juice - but on the other hand it wasn't as tough to kill as I'd expected.

Yeah, that guy is ^&*!ing annoying,but it makes game funner. U cannot know where he comes ^^;,

And its pretty easy kill whit group. Me and my 2 friends were 18-20 lvl when we killed it.

On Moonglade EU server, there were many people in silverpine when I was.

I was level 13 at the time.. and while I was killing some spiders with someone for a quest, suddenly this A-hole shows up and kills both of us. He killed my mage friend in one hit and it was impossible for me to get away because he was dazing me all the time.

I was pissed off, and so there was a call in the LFG channel.
"LFG Kill that bloody son of Arugal"

And everyone in the entire zone (about 35 in total) all around level 10-18 mounted a massive assault on him.
He lasted about 12 seconds. Was very entertaining to kill him so fast after he had killed me so quickly.
He dropped nothing, but it was fun nonetheless.

I was once killin some gluttons and i saw him lol(this was my lv 16 mage) i was curious so i attacked him..... the results werent good.. so i got my lv 32 hunter and killed him 10 to 11 secs man revenge is so sweet!

Just solo'd a lv 24 one. Took some major kiting (most of the path through silverpine) and had to be careful to keep agro. Pet died a couple of mins is due to curse of arugal :(

i was killing white scalps and saw him coming on his patrol, i instantly stealthed with my lvl16 rogue and i got stuck in a dead end spot so i had to keep backing up as he followed me and kept coming till i was on the beach i got mauled by spiders then but.... im coming back with my hunter to get some payback

I saw him today while killing Whitescalps for that quest. He didn't actually seem very hard to run from. Of course, I wasn't about to fight him, since I'm a level 14 Warlock. I sicced Blueberry on him and threw a few spells, but nothing would take hold. Just be careful and watchful, and you should survive. I think this'll give me a reason to come back in a few levels.

with 26 lvl Druid. Soloing him can be done but it is tough. And got nearly 400 XP for it. 800 XP actually but I was in the rested state so I got twice the amount as normal so roughly 400 XP normally.

in shadowfang, when i last ran through it, there were at least six spawns of him ^^, he was easy to kill for 3 lvl 30s and then archmage drops his robes and i win hem yay! no blade though

This guys spawned right in front of me the other night. I was killing the werewolf looking guys and wolves for light leather down by the wall with the diseased humanoids and such.

Probably knocked off about 10 or so wolves and werewolves and suddenly this guy popped without feet of me. I instantly clicked on him ,saw that he was a level 25 elite (maybe not an elite but certainly level 25). Luckily I was moving and kept going. I was out of his aggro range before he fully formed but it was neat to see him. I was level 16 or so at the time.

I have seen this guy roaming around down by the wall almost every day now. One day I will get him. He hasn't killed me yet but I have come close to getting ganked by him many times. He patrols the area I usually farm for leather stuff.

there are two different "son of arugal"s one that spawns in shadowfang and one that spawns outdoors and the one that spawns outdoors doesn't drop !@#$ from what i can tell from camping him.

Found him by the spiders in NW corner of Silverpine. He dropped nothing but I got 2 medium leathers off him and a 5 minute shadow damage curse.

How to make a tense encounter (Bliz edition):
step number 5:
Horde zones don't require any planning, writing or plain thinking - just sprinkle a few elite 25 mobs in the forest full of lvls 11-12 mooks. The Horde noobs, who come looking to grind their meager xp will definitely appreciate the hardcore difficulty curve or at least learn that life is not fair. A valuable lesson that will be driven home time and time again in the future.

On a hardcore server, noticed a poor dead troll and sought he was jumped by a bunch of Worgans. Few feet away was Son of Arugal and I was like "oh hell nah!". Ran away safely.
