30 yard radius aoe nature attack that puts a (stackable) DoT on you, on a random timer, so it may stack up a few times, but usually disappears. This will wipe a party/raid very quickly.

Solution: only tank stays within 30 yards, everyone else at max range (including healers). Doing this, the fight is easy.

Fight is theoretically possible 3man (2 healers drop out of combat to drink, can also dps), but 4-5 or more are recommended if you don't want to take all day. As long as not many people get hit by the aoe, he's easy. NR can help on tank, but not necessary.

We did it with a mostly 3/8 might 3/8 wrath tank, with 2 mostly T2 healers (pally an priest), and rotating they were able to keep a rogue up too.

Overhead is correct. A tank and two healers can easily bring Lord Lakmaeran down, it is just incredibly long. I killed him tonight with a T1/Ironvine Fury Warrior, mostly T2 Resto Tree Druid, and myself a mostly T2 Feral Druid.

If you have anything less then a raid group, I *highly* recommend that the tank wear 150-200 NR. It makes a huge difference for the healers. Our Tree Druid never had to stop healing to go drink (resto is absolutely amazing since 2.0), and I ran off twice to drink. Overall, it took us about 40 minutes to kill him. It definitely wasn't a difficult fight, just very slow with only the tank dealing damage.

Respawn time is 25min and only one person can loot the questitem he drops even though several might be on the quest..

Beast Lore says he got 330000 health, hits for 1400 and AE nukes. Probably need 5 groups+ to bring him down.. wonder what he drops

He just hit me for 2374

Thats the hardest Ive seen anything hit for so far, most dragonkin have been under 1500

Would be awesome to see what he drops

A VERY hard encounter, but with the right group he should go down fairly simple. Any melee class other than the main tanks (2 warriors) should stay out of range. What you need is a bunch of ranged attackers (mages pref), and healers to keep the tanks alive.
Rogues are utterly useless (I am a lvl 60 rogue myself, as he casts massive AoE and something called static blabla which does 400 per tick over 15 secs (3 or 4 sec tick) hence having a lot of melee on this fellow is not gonna work.

Yesterday we was there and he droppt NOTHING. One of the other Elite-mobs dropt a epic belt.

Raiders Of alliance On Vasjh Tok this fella whit a 3 group raid.

We managed to get him down to 30k life, tank died and used his SS(me) got him down to 18k and the tank died again(me) all healers oom btw:) but still then the rest of the raid fixed the rest of the 18k of life on him, and the ML(Me) looted proudly 2x Chimaerok Tenderloin from him. But it was fun:)

We took it as an boss training, for MC and ZG:) kinda nice since he aint easy, but still not an extreme boss. Note down that non of our members have any good epic items atm:) few got 1 or 2. but thats it.

Anyhow he aint that hard. If you got 3 Paladins/shamans and 2 priest and 9 dmg dealers + 1 tank u can take him down easy. and the worst part its fun:)

We just 10 manned him. Not an easy fight, but doable. The fight takes under 10 min, not 30 min. Our group looked like this 1 war, 2 mage, 3 priest, 1 druid, 1 pally, 2 hunter. The most important thing was that we had ranged dps - no rogues. He hits the group with a chain lighting-like attack which gives a debuff for 15? sec that deals 200 nature damage per/3sec. He seems to cast it at random intervals, the quickest being about 10 sec, and the longest being up to a minute. The debuff will stack, and after only three, 600 nature damage every 3 seconds is deadly for cloth. Try to keep at max range, and try to spread out. It seems that the lighting jumps from player to player and if you are too far away from eachother, you have a lessened chance of it hitting you. Hunter nature resist aura and any nature resist gear you have helps since you can resist the attack. Everything else is straightforward. Wait for about 15 sec before you dps assuming the mt is sundering. He drops nothing worthwile unless you have the Brood quest chain. https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=8585/恐怖之島/

Tried to 5-man it with warrior, pally, priest, and 2 locks. Got him to 25% but had to bring in a mage and extra priest.

Things to note:
Lightning shield - 20% to hit 425(?) nature damage(dispellable)
Lightning breath - chain lightning, 500-600 nature damage
Some nature debuff, increases nature damage taken, stackable
Hits the tank for 400-600 melee damage

He also enrages after 50% until you get him to 25% then he's normal again

If your tank has high Nature Resistance this fight is a cakewalk. Damage is some nature some physical, so 255 unbuffed NR with a hunter aura gets you to 315 without having to loose too much Def and Stam. The hunter can either stand very close to the tank at the minimum firing distance, or just close enough for the tank to get the aura. If they stand in between they will chain lightning to the rest of the group. If the hunter does choose to stand close to the tank it would help if they also wear NR gear. Everyone else at max range with ranged damage only, and he goes down fast and easy without the tank ever building debuffs. 10 man group makes it easy, but proly doable with 5. Respawn seemed like about 20 min.

The above poster is correct. I tanked him in NR gear (we had two priests, warlock, 2 mages, me, 2 rogues, and a paladin) even without any hunters and limited rogue dps all you need is one tank to resist and a spread out grp. The tick stacks and can definately kill you. Long-ish fight, though, as Lord Lakmaeran has a good amount of health for a level 62 elite.

well, 4 of us decided to journey into the isle of dread to see what was in there and we stumbled upon this guy. Well i am just gonna tell it like it was...me(60 priest), 60 warrior, 60 rogue, and 60 mage decided to give it a shot...rogue had to vanish out almost immediately, warrior was losing health like a 37 warlock, i ran out of mana, tank died, me and mage ran.....end of story.

2-manned yesterday by a 70 demo spec warlock and a 70 druid. Long and boring (took us 15 minutes) but easily doable. Dropped 3 tenderloins.

He can probably be soloed by a warlock with good gear, consumables, and a lot of patience. Bring at least 10 super healing or major rejuvenation pots. Make sure that felguard is at full mana. Take Cleave off autocast to conserve mana (unless you have points in Mana Feed). Put curse of weakness on him, send felguard in to tank, health funnel, dots, repeat. Drain life or eat a health pot if you get low on health.

We just 5 manned him: Paladin, Druid, Warrior, Hunter, Warlock. We had a healing rotation with paladin and druid running out to drink. Took a long time, but not that hard. Just out of range the AoE debuff.

Killed him yesterday for the hell of it with 7 people, very tough and very long fight. Group was warrior, 2 priests, druid,2 hunters and a rogue I think. Very good testing ground for new guildies :).

We tried 5manning him and got him to 51%. With potions and such, he will be, even tho very hardly, 5mannable.

Just killed him with 16.
Ranged Dps is crucial, tank with high Nature Resist definitely helps. Just keep the lightning shield dispelled, otherwise it hits for around 400 every time he is struck. The debuff is resistable but not removable so NR gear if you have it. Ranged dps can out of range it.

He has a lightning shield, though I don't know what triggers it. I ranged attacked him, and proceeded to melee, and didn't get hit with any charges.

Second try, his Lightning Shield hit me twice, though once was after I melee hit him, and the other time was either after him hitting me with lightning breath or after me ranged attacking him. So I don't know what triggers it, but I do know it hits for 500+ Nature damage, though it is resistable.

Has the same Lightning breath they all have, does the usual 400 damage.

330.000 health, hits for 1200 to 1800 and does mad AoE damage. Looks to me like the winning combination is tank, backup tank, lots of healers and the rest hunters, mages and warlocks as you don't want a lot of people close to him due to the AoE lightning.

Maybe a 25-man raid could do it, in a 10-man we only did 10% damage to him (we had some low levels though...)

Has anybody killed him post-1.6 release to see if the loot table was added? Only 4 kills listed above.

The respawntime is 15-30 minutes. Not 15 minutes, not 25 minutes.

1 tank 2 healer 2 range dps
BWL/AQ40 gear is enough.
WIll be easy for your healers to manage mana like this.
He does enrage so save CDs.
Everyone max range.

Don't need more than this, makes it easy to farm tenderloin too though you could switch out 1 healer for alt dps for that part.
Will be easier with 1-2 more ranged dps though.
