And WHAT, I ask you, are they guarding? Burning with curiosity, I managed to sneak my way into discovering this place chalk full of level ? elites... including the Phantom Dragon and a number of her Dragonkin. There is a large and mysteriously beautiful building holding a portal like the Eye of Sauron upon it's summit, and it is neigh inpossible to get anywhere near it. In spirit form (after the horrendous beating I recieved at the hands of the Dragonkin Oracle that was farther away than my draw distance) I ascended the marble steps to this portal only to discover that it is NOT an instance.. in fact, it is nothing. The only thing that exists beyond that portal is the back side of the building. I'm guessing that this will someday be an epic quest for when Blizzard raises the level cap. Until then, I can only speculate...

It's a real giftshop thing, or nice to take a picture with and send to your friends back home !

I�ve found two more areas EXACTLY the same as his. high lvl elite dragons guarding something that looks like a portal. one is in northern feralas other in northern hinterlands

I am REALLY curious of their secret :)

My guild and I have ran all of those. Only to (1) get slaughtered (quickly) and (2) find out that it was all for naught as they are unfinished areas. =(

and how big must ur lvl 60 dudes group be to beat this bunch of mobs?

The 4 bough's spread through out Azeroth (Serdane in Hinterlands, Twilight Grove in Duskwood, Bough Shadow in Ashenvale & Dream Bough in Feralas) each hold one the Emerald Dragon outdoor bosses, Ysondre, Taerar, Emeriss & Lethon. The other dragons flying about each of these areas are really unimportant, those along with the dragonkin that run around in patrols of 3 are similar to trash mobs in instances.

You'll recognize one of the emerald dragons if you see one, they're huge (look like Shade Of Eranikus in ST) & stand just in front of the green portal, the dragons on the slope in front are just more trash. These generaly require 30 to 40 man raids of lvl 60s to take down, depending on which dragon you're fighting (Emeriss & Lethon being the hardest).

The portal itself is just meant to symbolise where they come out from, it's not an instance or anything you can travel through yourself.

Unless you're in a group with healers, stay far away from these. They deal 1600dmg in one hit, plus they have a tendency to travel in groups of three. You have been warned!

A few tips killing these mobs.

All dragons can be chain feared by priest/warrior/warlock. If you clear one pack at a time there's well enough with space to use the standard warlock fear.
All dragons can be chain slept, if your druid friend is good enough to keep track of it.
The large ones threat reset with the AoE knockback.
The large ones can be disarmed. Reducing their damage significantly.
Having a rogue stun locking really helps out if you are a smaller group of people.
They always walk in packs of 3 and cannot be pulled individually.
Interrupt the fiery fire as that reduces your tank to cloth armor.
Purge the barkskin from the medium sized mobs. It reduces their damage taken significantly.
They drop junk. In 80 kills we have gotten 2 greens so far, basically nothing else.
The nightmare corruption fragment drops in raids. Change the loot quality to common (below script) so that the fragment does not get stuck in someone's individual loot table and the person forgets to loot the corpse. If you do this white quality items (and quest items) will show up in the roll window and be "loot-able" by everyone in the raid. Like greens/epics are "loot-able" in "normal raids" (when everyone can see the contents of the loot in mob). There's also the option to have white items master loot-able.

Group loot: /script SetLootMethod('Group','1')
Master loot: /script SetLootMethod('Master','YourNameHere','1')

Amount of kills that I needed for the 3 fragments: Hinterlands 3 kills, Feralas 40 kills, Ashenvale 110 kills.
