sorry but that was possibly the stupidest comment I have ever read... All weapons vary in speed, some maces are 3 secs, others can be 1.5... same with fist weapons... my mainhand fist, (Reflex Blades), is a slow 2.7, which makes for nice sinister strike crits... and the offhand version,(Stormreaver Warblades), is 1.6 (sorry if this is off I'm guessing based on sense)... Not all weapons have the same speed, so saying maces suck because they're slow is really dumb... plus what rouge chooses his weapons because of how many poisons he's going to get off...

I have heard several times over and I must stress heard as I am not sure - that fist weapons are less likely to miss as an off-hand weapon; I believe ive noticed this to be true, but one never knows for sure.
Im an arms spec warrior using right and left hand blades - tooled for crits, deep wounding, rend - high crit chances leads to bleeding, you get it. Though the blades hit for 17 something dps, I attack constantly and seem to miss much less often than I did when I was sporting, say, a mace and sword. Crits are hitting in the 90s plus deep wounding and it happens a lot.
Im sure the same effect would apply if you were digging for a flame effect, or if you had poison - you're greatly increasing your percentages of 'chance on hit' simply because of how often you swing and how rarely you dont connect.
It's pretty tough to find an upgrade, though, I bought the blades in Darnassus somewhere and havent been able to find anything comparable, but have been looking.
