The best place by far to farm for ore as a mining prof is in caves. Pick an area where there's a decent amount of the ore you want and find a cave and just farm. That's the laziest way to find the ore you need. For tin, I tried the Gold Coast Quarry cave in westfall located in the center of the map along the western coast.

There's also a cave right outside of Southshore in Trisfal Glades that has a good bit of tin and the highest amount of Silver i've yet to be able to farm. I would just clear the cave and mine the ore, then go afk in the back of the cave where there's a deep pit. If you're the right lvl, you won't aggro anything. I think the guys were around lvl 20.

People have said that Thousand Needles is a good place to mine for tin and silver, but that requires alot of running around. And if you don't have a mount, it will be a long process for you. There IS a cave located in the "Screeching Canyon" which would technically be along the north wall in the middle of 1k Needles (Straight across from the Lift that brings you from the Barrens into 1k Needles). That place has a bunch of Harpies in it but you can farm a decent amount of tin from it. Maybe some silver too.

But yeah, do like i said. Instead of running around all day, pick a region that has a good bit of the ore you need and find a cave to grind in while you mine the ore.

P.S. Unfortunately, there is no place to farm large amounts of Thorium, so get it every way you can!

Duskwood is loaded, sear the mountains in the centr and MOST IMPORTANTLY go to the place with the ogres. The place with the ogres even has a gold vein!
