I wonder if this will give you the 2 different buffs at the same time, and gain +150 Agility and Strength, or if it is just one of them. Since there isn't stated anything like "Your highest stat is always chosen" makes me think that yes, you will be able to have both buffs active at the same time

Meme's aside, while it does still use the corrupted model, it does turn into the uncorrupted Ashbringer for a bit once you get 5 stacks from its chance on hit ability. Which, at least in my opinion, is a good compromise between giving players an "uncorrupted" Ashbringer while still staying mostly faithful to the established lore.

Blizzard knocked it out of the park with this one. They took a weapon that has always been legendary, and made it into what it should have been. The fact that it transforms into the cleansed Ashbringer is just a little fine spice on what is already a delicious meal. Only complaints are...

1. The cleansed model should be the OG model of Ashbringer, not the one from Legion.
2. The cleansed model should be slightly larger, to match the size of the corrupted version, or at least be closer to it
3. The darkening effect on your character goes away once you finish the final stage of the quest and add the "light" spirit to the sword.. this can likely be explained through the fact that we are adding a source of light both figuratively and literally to the sword, that they made the darkening effect disappear... still I think it would be a nice touch if it still had the darkening effect.. that would go in and out based on the blade being corrupted or cleansed.

Some facts about this Legendary, including 2 that are not specifically mentioned anywhere;

The lifesteal proc is not affected by spell power increases, for me it never went above 575 damage.

The lifesteal proc has a high proc chance and a small CD, I was getting a proc nearly every auto attack

As a ret paladin, my buff was 30 strength per stack, I did not receive any agility.

Not mentioned; When you gain 5 stacks of the Lifesteal buff, and then proc your Crusader or Grand Inquisitor, it will transform the blade into the purified version, replace the 5 stack buff with a new one that lasts for 30 seconds and gives you 200 strength instead of only 150.

Also not mentioned; When the blade transforms into its purified form, an ability called "Wrath of the Ashbringer" follows, dealing aoe damage around you. As of right now I am not sure if it scales with spell power, but as a ret paladin I was hitting around 3500 crits with it.

Keep in mind that you cannot enter SM Cathedral to help anyone if this is in your bags as it starts the RP, even if not equipped. You have to put it in your bank.
