One of the 4 rewards from "Treasure of the Timeless One," which is the final link the the Ahn'Qiraj sceptor quest. This quest chain can still be completed after the Scarab Gate has been opened, and it begins with the quest "What Tomorrow Brings" (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=8286) in Silithus.

You're pretty much going to have to have acess to an entire raid team of your own to complete this quest. It's expensive and will take you all over the game, to many raid bosses including some world encounters that take 100 or more players to complete.

After a while of questing after you get the broodlord head, Anachronos asks you to talk to one of the three dragons: Azuregos, Vael, and Eranikus. I know the rewards for each of these dragons' chains are different, but at the end of each chain do you still get this sword?
-keep in mind i ask this very long after the AQ gate opening.

pretty disappointing reward... it's basically on-par with Claw of Chromaggus, a boss which you're required to defeat to finish the quest chain anyways.

This is one of the rewards from the questline that opens Ahn'Qiraj.

You need Broodlord's head, as well as Neutral Rep with the Brood of Nozdormu before you really even start the questline. Then... well, it gets interesting after that. Look up 'Scepter of the Shifting Sands' at wowwiki.com to see just how interesting.

Well being were i am at now in game progression this quest chain has really given me something to do other than farm for mats, while waiting for the exp to come out. I do hope that they buff this weapon up a bit its quite a pain in the arse to get I mean its been said before its pretty much the claw of chromagnus dressed up

This is the final reward of the AQ chain. That means you can pretty much forget about it unless you can talk your guild into helping you with about 30-60 hours of grind to finish all the quests leading to this stage.

Farming the green fragments *sucks*, and it's not worth it. Get claw of chromaggus or a femur.

looks a tiny bit like Chromatically Tempered Sword.... in fact all of the rewards from this quest are somewhat maybe just a lil similar to other epics in the game...

This is one of four reward choices for completing the AQ scepter questline. Tigole from Blizzard confirmed the questline would be repeatable, so you don't have be the gong-ringer on your server to get this necessarily. It's just a HUGE amount of work to complete the questline, there are probably better options for your time

tbh I don't think this will be a quest reward, there's a minimul lvl req on it which ussually is not needed on quest items.

At best this sword is on par with stuff like Claw of Chromaggus or Kris of Unspoken Names. The lack of crit would be a turn-off to alot of people.

However this is easily the freakin best looking caster sword in game. If given the chance I'd go through the hell of the questline to get this amazing looking blade.

indeed some of the quest sections are 20 man raids, and you have to collect items from both stormwind and the undercity which means a pvp raid.

Guild backing would definitely help :p

As a mage, I really don't think this quest line is worth it for this weapon. Part of the chain requires you to hand in 10 elementium, which your guild probaly isnt going to hand over for free. Its really alot easier to get the claw of chromaggus.

I chose to go for GM mageblade. Easy to gt it now after the patch.
Faster to get, its better, overall a better choice.
