These robes dropped in ZG off the spider boss for us on Tuesday (9/13/05) and I must say upon looking at other similar robes, this is quite nice and not too difficult to obtain. The deep blood red color of the robe is what makes this robe very appealing IMHO. Yes there is a plain design to it, but it is classic with a very unique color.

Scored these today in Zul'Gurub from the 3rd boss, Mar'li.

Comparable to the Robes of Prophecy, offering slightly less Stamina and Intellect, but far more Spirit. Identical +Healing also.

Incredible robe.

These dropped today. I passed as my dkp situation isn't the best and others in the guild needed it a lot more. I currently use robes of the archmage which imo are slightly better for the +dmg and crit. Thoughts?

If you are a mage in end-game pve spirit is better than stam... Only like twice has a few extra health saved my life... If they get through my shields and ice block I'm gonna die anyway. If I put spirit gear on with mage armor and priest spirit buff I regen mana almost as fast as I can spam frostbolts. When I got this we were not doing much MC so it is still the best robe drop I've run across. I had a ton of DKP and I bid. I like the robe and get a ton of whispers and compliments on it.

I will gladly hold on to this until netherwind.

These dropped in ZG a couple of days ago. But the leader wouldn't let any priests roll on it. We were an 'eligible' class.. So only were we allowed to roll if mages or locks didn't want.

That made me a sad panda... That robe would have been awesome for me! I love the spirit and int, and the plus healing is rocks too!

Is it normal for priests not to be able to roll on this robe..?

Just as these guys have been saying, clearly because of the low damage, its useless for a warlock/mage and is priest food.

Any guild that doesn't give priests prio are probably best /gquit'ing

This amazing item drops of High Priestess Mar'li. Mar'li is the fourth boss located in the Zul Gurrub Instance. Her aspect is that of the "spider" her area is found in just under that of Mandokir and is easily recognizable by the webbing that fills the area.

I also got one very recently. Goes quite well with the Crimson Felt Hat and the +dmg alterac robes. Ah, too bad I'm a frost mage. I suppose people thinking i'm a fire mage from the color might be fun, though.

Very nice raiding robes for mages - the +spi makes evocation really efficient, and the +int gives almost .5 spell crit and over 250 mana. Not to mention the generalist damage. ROTArchmage might be better, but even if it is, not by much.

Got it tonight and DEd my Robe of Winter Night. I lose 18 damge for a *!@#load of stats, I hate loosing +dmg but this robe is nice since we've just started clearing MC and arcanist is ass. Also we have separate DKP for 20/40 man so I can still get the same amount of stuff from MC :P

We've killed mar'li for months and this is the first dropp for us.

i did a ZG today with another guild i won them cos no one in the grp needed them also got my priest the confessors belt which i could never win with my guild as nearly everyone needed it shame healers needed the neck off hakkar and i won the roll

Man I can tell you it hasn't dropped as much as that on my server, and if it wasn't for the fact that another priest already had it and the other wore prophecy robes and did the raid with some greenhorns, I wouldn't have been able to snag it. Grabbed it for 21 dkp -- a freaking steal.

Wow, with the band of servitude and her mana regen trinket i've really milked this boss for all she's worth aside from her wand.

I cannot tell you how many trips to ZG I have made. The majority being before they nerfed the whole place. I am almost exalted rep and have never seen these set of Robes drop. In all honesty if you are fresh out of 5 man groups they are excellent, but the lack of + damage/healing just kills them. For a Mage the Zandalar's Robes are definitely better. I would glady lose the spirit for +damage bonus. Someone posted a comment talking about the MC robes being terrible. Well i'm here to tell you that they are better than these. I can name 2 reason right away. First of all they give you + 23 damage, and second they give +10 FR. If you are going to be in MC/BWL this is priceless for certain fights.
