I think they look bad ass, honestly.....I am a protection spec warrior and while I'd love to have Stockade Pauldrons, I don't want to blow that kind of gold for them. I was kinda working on saving up for them until last night. the other 2 tanks in the raid already had Stockades, so it left me to roll against a pally.....thank all that is holy that I won. I gain STR, AGI, AC, and def, lose a little Stam (Slamshot) but save a buttload of gold.

just reading some of the comments

that moron who said 'a ms or fury warrior is on par with a ret spec pally' is out of his mind...

MS warriors are higher dps than pallies by far...

and fury spec'd warriors *if geared right* are the best PvE melee damage in game (yes better than rogues)... IF geared right...most fury warriors do not understand how to gear themselves...
Str, Stam, and some agil lastly...
and +HIT is far superiour to +crit for a fury warrior,
since you are swinging DW and swinging so fast that you dont need to rely on a high crit rate for flurry to proc, roughly 18-20% is all you need to keep flurry up 100% of the time...anyway i digress...

these are by FAR the best FURY dps shoulders you will get for a long time...they are better than Might for god sakes...any paladin who feels he should get these over a warrior, or is even on the same tier as a warrior for receiving these, should be slapped upside the head and taught how to play his f*cking class...

especially since 1.9 paladins DPS is based more around spells/mana (INTELLECT) than pure str/stam...so all you genius' who are wearing full valor and painweaver bands...have fun regearing yourself...

please...leave the melee dps to the classes that are designed to shine in it...namely warriors and rogues...stick to buffing and healing, its what you do best

(now, before i get flamed, i am NOT saying paladins are not a strong class, and they are great to have in pvp, but they are based around survivability, due to their heals/shields, rather than high dps...if a paladin could do anywhere near the DPS a warrior could, then warriors would be obsolete...its simple math. a warrior can kill anything FASTER than a paladin can, but the paladin will live 2-3 times as long since he can shield/heal...its a balance issue...if paladins could do the same DPS as a warrior, the game would be unfair...its logic...plain and simple...)

The +3 Defense is insignificant, it fills the same role as the +Defense on the Zandalar Vindicator's set... a tiny bit of melee mitigation for the hell of it. These are actually PvP shoulders, and the best blue PvP shoulders in the game. They beat Valor in every way and are not TOO big of a downgrade from Highlander/Defiler's or Drake Talon shoulders. So basically this is what you wear until you spend 13607 hours grinding AB Rep or your guild hits BWL.

These dropped on a guild run last night and they let my pally have them. You know, it's funny, but my guild is raiding BWL now, and they have no problem with letting pallys spec and gear to be Off Tanks. Maybe some of us don't want to be heal/buffbots all the time? I frequently out DPS warriors in instances like UBRS. Gear, specs, and skill make it possible for some pallys to do a perfectly good job in a DPS role, fighting beside the warrior (not instead of the warrior) as an OT. There are several guilds who have successfully used such pallys to tank Lucifron and Magmadar in MC. This is because the guilds didn't lose the idea that the game was meant to be fun. How much fun is it to repeat MC in exactly the same way 200 times in a row? Molten Bore then. But let some people switch roles and gear and spec them for new challenges and it becomes fun again. I thank the Gods my guild doesn't think like some of the narrow minded grasping, pathetic control freaks on this page.

to bad my guild isnt rdy for ZG yet(even tho some of us has bin for a while... Northrend Elite FYI) as a warrior... i really like the idea of a druid tanking, they make great tanks(i didnt use to think so but i did a DM tribute run with a feral druid, he changed my mind..)

because if i play the rogue (no sap tho) i can dps just as good, sneak in some sunders and all that crap(rend Thunderclap who cares...) And, i will, if the druid dies, be able to switch weps and stance, use my preseved rage to regain the agro, and we can complete the group/boss... not allways off course but some times this can save you ass if theres only 1-2 mobs left... and with the three sunders i have allready laid on him(just enough to not get agro) i can quickly aply the last two for complete agro management...

ohh and yeah... now that Druids have taken the tanking place, be carefull rogues... we are out dpssing you like mad... and the healers will not have to worry as much about us since we take less dgm from the Aoes we might encounter... and have a assload of HP's more;)

These shoulders are SO warrior. They have strength and stamina the warrior MUST HAVE stats. And to just make it even more warrior they put in Defence and agility so they can hit some crits. The only way a paladin should roll on this is if the warriors dont need it!

i have a pali in a guild that those a lot of pve.Yes when we do MC and ZG and other raid instances ,i play my role and i heal and buff,even though i would like to go do dps ,i stay back.But when im out,i do lots of BG and i just got those pauldrons ,and my guild let my roll on them agains 2 warriors and i won them ,you know why,cause they call me the pvp $%^&* and my guild understands that they are not only for warriors in pve ,but for pali that like to do pvp and basically HAVE FUN in BG like me.Beleive it or not i have 2 set of gear ,one healing and one for pvp that ,guess what ,those dps.(when you get exalted with stormpike guards,you will see why)

Yep it better for warriors in general,but pali can roll for them cause it good for them two.

As a tank in MC and ZG, I'm going to go ahead and say that I not only LOL at warriors tanking in these, but would only use them to replace my spaulders of valor for dps. They suck for tanking. I'll keep my stockade pauldrons, thanks.

To be honest if u wud laugh at a tank for wearing these u dont know much about tanking,these shoulders are great for tanking and definatly comparatable to the stacade pauldrons,ok lets break it down ,the stocade pauldrons have +7 more defence(this is for all u noob warriors out there who think defence is every thing) than these ok so thats .35% more chance to block,dodge and parry but on the other hand the bloddsoaked has 11 agility which translates to .55 chance to dodge theres a small difference but its neglegible these slight differences in stats will not make much of a difference to you if you are doing ZG or MC which i wouldnt realy class either of as end game instances, it also has 16 strength which is increasing the amount of damage u can block ,u loose 40 hp with the bloodsoaked pauldrons but u gain 80 armor + agi gives u a 102 armor increase and many tanks will now argue that increased crit chance from agi is more benificial than people think for holding aggro with many tanks opting for the conquerers set over the dreadnaught for this reason,so when u look at it that way these arent so bad,stocades are slightly better but only slightly,these are a good choice if u dont want to have to break the bank and pay rediculas prices for the stocades like is seen on some servers.but they are definetly good enuf to get u tru Zg and MC until you get your tier 1.

This amazing item drops of Bloodlord Mandokir. Mandokir is the third boss located in the Zul Gurrub Instance. He is not one of Hakkars high priests and does not have to be killed to kill fight Hakkar. He is located just past that of Venoxis, and up a large series of stairs.

I've seen these and they actually look a little better than the big bad's. Where the big bad's look faded these have deep blood red color to them. for an orc warrior i think these are the best looking shoulders in the game now.

I also wanted the Polearm to drop, but Blizzard dislikes me and sends me these. Awesome stats, but I hate looking like I'm in my mid-40's again :(

Anyway, these will do nicely until I can get Defiler Shoulders :D

These arent bad at all for me, as fury warrior. Its a bit over +.5crit chance for me, from the agility, and the 32 attack power from the strength is great too. And heck, if it gives defense and makes me just a tiny bit harder to hit, why not. Its better than my tier 1 shoulders for dps output, although I kept the pauldrons of might for the odd tanking job. I'll use these until I can scrounge up the honor and marks for grand marshal shoulders.

I picked these up off the Raptor boss last night and replaced by Slamshots. They look great and match my gear perfectly and the stats are nice. +3 def is not huge, but good and the added AC, Str, AGI are terrific. I loke a little Stam, but I'll live with it.

The Raptor boss is a tough SOB, but we got him down. Thank all that is holy my dice were hotter than the pally's who rolled....tragic to see these on a bubble boy....
