Got one last night, and another warrior got Drake talon Cleaver the same
night. Im very happy with this axe
it performs a lot better than what
I expected, really nice consistent dps and fast hits.

Paladin/shaman axe, We gave our first to a paladin cause no warrior will keep it for long since its not a end game choice for them and for a pally they will not get ashkandi and thoose weapons so fast this axe will last longer for em.

You must be kidding me. Draconic Avenger has +42 atk power from strength while Arcanite Reaper has +62 atk power. Draconic Avenger already has +15 dps compared to Arcanite Reaper. Sorry newb, 20 atk power doesn't make up for 15 dps. It's more than obvious Draconic Avenger does more total damage. Who cares about per hit damage? You only deal 30 more damage on average per hit with the Arcanite Reaper. Within 16 (3.2*5) seconds, the Draconic Avenger already attacked 5 times, while the Arcanite Reaper while only attack four times.

410 damage from the extra attack is MORE than 120 additional damage dealt from the four attacks.

Moron. Keep telling yourself a lvl 58 blue axe is the best in the game.

Looks like GreatSageCorban is still a #$%^ing dumbass. Top end damages ASSUMES that you hit for the maximum amount possible, which will rarely ever happen. It's more than obvious all hits will eventually even out to the average damage. Of course, I'm a Marshal, and you are what pvp rank? And you think you know more about weapons than I do? Dumbass.

Hell ima paladin and i'd definetly use it theres no such thing as "warriors DO more dmg than pallys" ive out dmged warriors countless times. so for all i care a pally can use this.

The Calculation in an earlier post doesn't make sense.
153-256 base + (862/14)*3.8 = 387-490 Arcanite Reaper
174-262 base + (842/14)*3.2 = 366-454 Draconic Avenger

you can't multiply by the attack speed...if anything you divide..but i like to look at this way.

153-256 base + (862/14) = 215 - 318 per swing for Arcanite

174-262 base + (842/14) = 234 - 322 per swing for Draconic

At 3.2 attack speed versus 3.8 and even including the MS, Overpower and Whirlwind instant atks Draconic is clearly the better axe.

Right?

Yeah and I love it, it performs a lot bettet "A LOT" than AR, very consistent dps, fast hits and nice stats, im pvp player and I have pvped until rank 10 with Arcanite Reaper for like 4 months, and I can tell you with this is A LOT better.

anyway, this is not really warrior loot. by the time you are able to get this, your warriors will have better gear.
it's not that good to start with either... the speed is way too fast & the 2% parry is a laugh. i think unstoppable force is better than this & thats not very hard to get.

in my guild this & the Draconic Maul (which is ten times better) are both considered shaman 'pvp' loot, since no warrior wants it. there are plenty of better weapons that can drop in both BWL & MC.

my warrior is beyond powerful he main tanks all EGI's when ever he goes in this axe has droped twice and guess wut i've rolled the lowest BOTH TIMES i've lost to 2 paladins and i was sad =( but i still got my thunderfury but thats not a 2h weapon =I

After the 1.8 patch, the speed on this thing won't be such a bad thing. But even before 1.8 it's a sick weapon.

I just got this tonight on our bwl... its not the best for a MS warrior, but with the massive +crit from axe spec and the quickness makes it easier to gain rage, i think its a big upgrade from my OEB. i really like it so far.

Got this last night! Drake Talon Cleaver dropped and I lost the bid to a warrior (no problem there), and right after Flamegore we did the Drake Talon Wyrmguards and this dropped. I bid and won! It now has +25 agil on it which I think is the best enchant this weapon could have for my paly...extra crit chance and increased armor...forget Crusader ;).
