Dire Maul west is like one of my favorite instances and I always get plenty of rogue friends coming along for their DD's...

... but omfg, ugly demon dog just refuses to drop this. I've probably went 10 times in the last week... and maybe 50+ since I started doing Dire Maul... and have not seen it once. =.='

Quite possibly the *best* Blue robe around for casters currently (till 1.10, i hear Freezeing Lich robes getting a nice boost).

This is, without a doubt, one of the best raiding/pve robes out there before you start getting into epics. I have a HARD time choosing between this and my felheart robe! I hate losing that +15 dmg or so... it really stings.

Any offensive spell caster would do well to roll on this item, regardless of class. This is THE Creme de la creme of +damage robes.

but I have gotten this once with my druid to keep for balance spec. (no mage/lock needed) and then I trained disenchant and felt like disenchanting some items. BUT tonight I got it a second time ^^

Today i just did DM West for the first time ever, cuz i saw a guildie have this nice robe. I checked here and saw, that it probably wont drop, cuz i REALLY dont have luck with nice drops, but then it dropped, the only other cloth wearer was a priest with truefaith vestments and i got it.

I still have my robes of the lich. I have 2/8 felheart 2/8 zandalar demonics, and I still have those robes. In a way I'm very attacthed to them, and they will always have a spot in my inventory, but still nothing is signifigently better to convince me to RUN for it. As I'm doing my epic mount quest there, I'd love this robe, if I'm in scholo and necropile or allunas embrace drops, I'll roll on them, if someone feels they need it more, I'll default it to them, but I can wait for felheart off golemagg.

Got these on my 60 holy paladin yesterday - love them! Good stats and they look fantastic on her.

Pic is at the BRD instance portal. Also wearing 2/6 blue PvP set (gloves and boots to get the 2/6 set bonus spell dmg/healing), LF belt, Whitesoul Helm, Lead Surveyor's Mantle, Brazecore Armguards, Tanglemoss Leggings - weapons are Mastersmith Hammer and Rhombeard Protector.

For a Mage, they're barely better than Magister Robes. The actual stats are exactly the same (48), and if you aren't Frost, Magister > these.

Still nice tho :D

I had this, and got the Robe of Volatile Power 波動長袍 not a huge difference in stats except for the 2% crit, kinda weird for it being a 2% MC drop

For a frost Mage, this item is too much of a 'tweener' between +dmg and stats. For people that want one set of gear for everything, this is perfect, but I'd pick up one chest piece for +dmg and one chest piece for stats and just swap between them depending on situation.

Robe of the Archmage is fairly easy to obtain, although a bit expensive and time-consuming. For frost Mages, Freezing Lich Robes or Robe of Winter Night are better for +dmg and much easier to obtain (RoWN is sold on the AH as well).

anybody who thinks magisters>these is a vendor mage. Sure we need a few of u in MC, get summoning. Reality: these have more dmg than arcanist or RoVP. Stats are not quite pathetic, these are excellent robes for pre raiding. Sure for a frost mage lich is better, but for fire or elemental, these are great.
