Quite easy to solo as a rogue, though the Scarlet Sentinel guards do have increased stealth detection.

The Townhall is the building with the Clocktower it will have a few guards outside as well as a few guarding inside. Distract works nice here as you weave through them.

There are 2 guards immediately at the books location (For me the guards were paladin it may vary though)

Sapping one and throwing a blind powder at the other will give you all the time you need to loot the book (around 5 seconds to loot it) and get out of there.

Alright. I ran into Hearthglen, lost the beginning gaurds, summoned voidwalker, then individually made him aggro all the gaurds around the book. Grabbed the book, sacrificed the voidwalker, and ran like hell...

The scarlet guys in front of the keep see right through stealth, am 60 rogue with max stealth + 1, and they saw me from 50 yds while in stealth. A 54 should not be able to see me from that distance without stealth, my understanding is that this is something new. Unless you want to do some dying this has to be done with a group.

Soloed this today as a 57 priest and it was no trouble, walked in to hearthglen being careful and there was no-one in the town hall so just picked up the book and mounted out.

Did this with a 55 gnomish engineer Rogue - Lucky for me, someone was fighting the sentinels outside.
Once inside the town hall:
I sapped the guy just outside in the small room (Without breaking stealth).
Quickly pulled back to the "safe" end of the big room.
Summoned my battle chicken and mechanical dragonling.
Stealthed.
Approached the remaining two paladins approaching on the right side of the room (Away from the doorway and sapped guard), targeted the leftmost guard.
When the pets attacked the rightmost guard, I blinded the left one.
Shift-click-looted the Libram (Both pets died very fast).
Made sure the pets were dead (or vanish fails) and then vanished and hearted out :)

This can be soloed as a Hunter, albeit with one death unless you get really lucky.

Send your pet in to aggro into the building. Follow him in and have him attack the guy down the hall to the left, and then into the main room to the right to attack the guards in there.

Run into the main room turn right and run towards the podium. If you can make it all the way there, feign death there. If not, when you rez, rez at this end of the room because two scarlet guards take up position at the opposite end of the room.

After you rez or get up from FD, rez your pet and then send him at the two guards. A freezing trap pet pull might get a little extra time. It didn't help me much as the pet's target got the trap.

While your pet fights, run and shift-click on the BOOK on the table. There are several chairs around the table. Be careful not to shift-click on a DAMN chair. You will be stuck in it while you try to move and will sort of be stuck under a table or something as the guards kill you...

Once you get the book, run back towards the podium and FD. You'll be safe to hearth out from there.

As an added convenience, if you're an engineer and have a gnomish cloaking device, though, you can run out. Before rezzing my pet, I switch to cheetah and cloaked. The 10 seconds was enough time for me to get out of the building and downt he road a little ways (still within the city) to a safe area where I was able to rez the pet and hop on my tiger and run away.

went into cheetah form, ran past the sentries, found a place a bit south of the town hall where i could be out of combat (at lvl59), went into stealth kitty form and just walked the rest of the way to the book, then just stealthed back to the spot and mounted up and ran out

Had done this part with a hunter before so I wasn't quite sure how to proceed with a warrior with, had thought about using the Mechanical Yeti for it. But when it came down to it, I just ran into the building aggroing every paladin there, stood next to the book and used Intimidating shout and the effect of it gave me enough time to grab the book and run outside and be killed there. Lvl 58 warrior.

I just did this with my 55 hunter. Misclicked twice on a chair next to the libram. Lvl 55 elites were handing me my arse while sitting down.

As a hunter(55) I would recommend taking a death and spawning at the desk in the room with the libram in it. You can safely drink/eat up and lay a freezing trap for one of the elites, and have your pet aggro the one or two adds which will surely come.

So i figured i wasnt going to get this item so i went hell for leather and mounted up ran straight in the town hall and ran to the back. Died then walked back to my body reved and ran towards the two pallys then ran to the guy outside the door then cast fear on them. They ran to the back end of the room and gave me plenty of time to take the book and get a clean getaway.

Hey I just did as a 55 Night Elf Rogue. Its not hard. I agree with the strategy some ppl used here. I was suprised to see so many rogues had trouble.

Its just distract guards by the entracne, then you go in to the little room to the left. There there is another one that is very close to you. Now you simply distract again run in and then you sap and blind the 2 by the book, open it and vanish then run. Never even drew my sword.

As a 60 Holy Priest I didn't relish the idea of fighting elite paladins, but I didn't fight a single one to get this Libram. Simply used Mind Soothe and walked right up into the Town Hall, grabbed the book and soothed my way out again. There were no mobs in the room containing the Libram, and I only had to soothe 4 guys to to it.

Did this as a level 52! hunter
First ride in on mount and enter first building run in as far as u can
Then after getting body back set freeze trap at back of building then send pet to attack guy outside the main room door and hit the next guy with Wyvern sting and the third guy will run at you (trap not always work) run as fast as you can to get libram and then die after u get it so easy then res at grave take the 10 min on the chin and presto 5800 xp lol

This can be soloed by a druid.

Kill one of the sentinals at the gate, walk in. You can walk to the townhall without fighting. Stealth in, go to the last room.

As a druid, you have to fight both palas together. They take a long time to kill, but it's not that hard. First time I failed, I used my feral gear and was OoM before I killed them. Second time in caster gear (sta/int/spi) I managed to kill them both in 5 mins. Just bearform and heal. Had to use innervate, but no potions.

60 Resto druid, non-raiding gear (3x feralheart, rest 55+ blues)

they r so easy to kill, they're like normal guys...only problem is they heal and if you're up against two, you need stun or whatever to break his heals......
doing this as a 59 shaman at the moment...killed 1 paladin fine but missed the stun on the two paladins so i died >_<

Finished this quest as a 52 priest, just ran in and died, then rezzed and feared the two paladins and got the libram, ez. the shield was easy as well, just cleared around it and then got it. gg

The poison trick for rogue's works well if your blind gets resisted by the paladin. I sapped the left guard (nearest to the door) and then tried to blind the right one, it missed so i ran to the other side of the room and hit her until the crippling poison applied. Then ran back to the book and looted it. She was only halfway across the room and the sap was still on the other, easy for a rogue.

Strategy for warriors.
Go in the Town Hall (you will aggro 5 mobs).
Pop Intimidating Shout and immediately loot the book. If you get any resists you will die (I got 2 mobs resisting the first time as level 57).
If you die, respawn in the libram room, heal up and try again. This time you will only have to "gamble" the resist on 2 mobs.

Once you loot the libram just die and spirit rez if you're not up for walking the whole zone as ghost :).

If you're having trouble getting to this solo, if someone is doing In Dreams nearby you can pull these guys to Taelan Fordring and he will kill them for you.

soloed as a 60 enh shammy today, didnt have anything special to help me, just had to melee them down while saving earth shock to disrupt heals. took 2 attempts as the first time both pallys started to heal the same one at the same time and i just couldnt fight through it.
