The mats are steep, however very doable. There are BoP alternatives with the same proc, and since the weapon's damage is low compared to raid drops, the proc is all you would want. It has a nice speed, but the lack of stacks does not but over the proc.

As a personal note: It doesn't stack as much as you'd want. Once every Molten Giant or Wyrmgaurd would be a stretch.

The proc does stack with sunder armor.

Yeah, I just realised it when I had all the mats and checked the page again.

Anyhow, after a long month of farming, farming, farming, spending 270g all on crystals, spamming 'wtb arcanite bar transmute' daily, having 4 alchemists work for me for a week, selling two crystals, mooncloths, and runecloth bags (yes I am a miner/tailoring warrior), and ultimately winning a drop for Codex: Prayer of Fortitude II which sold for 70g, just so I could buy the last 3 bars....

I bought this axe for my lvl 60 warrior on Nathrezim about eh, two weeks ago. I must say that running instances has been a totally different scenario since this purchase. Granted, it costs quite a bit in Arcanite. However, us warriors are built for solid tanking and keeping our aggro once it's generated. This is definately a fantastic quick weapon to do that with. Whenever CT Raid is operable and damage meter is done, I am only dealing about 8% of the damage dealt in the raid, however I hold aggro so easily as MT it's not funny. Right now I just have a damage enchant while i wait to get my Righteous Orbs for Crusader. Good luck to you all. Take my advice and spend the arcanite on this baby.

Non DD procs are basically a no-no for raiding until they fix the 8 debuff slot rule.

I mean with 40 people there would be nothing but bleeds/armor debuffs/dots/-stats on a mob if all the melees used those procs on weapons.

This axe is best used while tanking in small groups, from 2-person grinding to 15-man raids. There is no other pre-epic 1h weapon that can generate hate like this axe - I've tried just about all of them.

However, this axe is not designed for super high dmg output, nor is it designed for MC/Onyxia/etc. raids because as previously mentioned, the proc take up a debuff slot.

So if you're tanking end-game instances, MC and higher, or if you just want to deal damage, this is not the axe for you.

If you are tanking for quest groups and instances up to UBRS, there is no better weapon in the game, save a very few epic 1-handers.

On long fights, it is possible for it to proc all 3 times, and yes it stacks with Sunder even though the debuff icons are different. That's a total of 2850 armor reduction - mobs will HATE you for it :)

Throw on a Crusader or Lifestealing enchant for some more hate, and even the hardest hitting rogue/mage in your group won't be able to peel the mob off you.

I can make these axes on Spirestone. PST Lief or send mats +10g.

And for what it's worth, I have an arsenal to choose from, and I tank with this axe 95+% of the time.

My warrior is a Cookie cutter 31/20 Arms/Fury Burst damage 2-handed DPS spec, but I love tanking. I own a Reaper, and have been looking for the best hate generating "Tanking Wep" I can get.

This sweet Axe is it, there is simpily no better end game tanking wep bar a few epics (Quel'Serrar, Ironfoe etc)

:- Fast 1.7 speed = Lots hits, more rage generated.
:- Because of it's fast speed put Fiery wep or Life stealing enchant on (Not crusader) and it will Proc a LOT (I have life stealing) to give even more hate.
:- It's own Proc stacks up to 3 times = extra 600 armour reduced = extra hate. Because of weps fast speed this actually procs quite often, especially on longer "Boss" fights. Since patch 1.7 mobs have a 16 slot debuff limit.
:- Good DPS
:- It looks awesome (Especialy with Life stealing Enchant) and is a very, very rare wep (Much rarer than a Quel'Serrar) due to it's cost and the rareity of the recipe (10% drop chance off rare spawn in LBRS).
:- If you are axe speced in Arms, gives an extra 5% crit.

I have had this wep since patch 1.7, and it's worth every bit of arcanite and other Mats I paid for it. It's such a great hate generating weapon.

This axe is very good for tanking. Not only is it very fast but it has a good proc that generates hate. I put crusader on mine and i absolutely love it. You could put Unholy enchant to further the hate but imo that would just waste a Debuff slot.

After spending about 1.5 weeks gathering all the mats, I finally had enough to have it made. I had an axesmith make it for 10g and I was good to go. As soon as I got it, I had a fiery weapon enchant added and immediately did a 10 man Scholomance run (Greymane Server). I'm a lvl 60 Shaman and I was getting 169.9 DPS with melee (along with rockbiter) on lvl 56 elites. This is a very nice weapon and stacked with a good shield you make a very tough opponent.

Proccs with 1-4%, I think. While tanking I sometimes got the prob that, while using windfury (totem), the durability sank very fast.

I can build it on Die Silberne Hand for mats + 10G.

It doesn't stack with Sunder. It has an extra space/name.

I have already picked up the plans for the Annihilator and was collecting mats for it, when lo and behold I run across Ghok Bashguud in LBRS and pick up this mace, Bashguuder,https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=23796/永久贊札之速 . I have been liking the mace and have noticed that the debuff is "puncture" something. What is the debuff name for the Annihilator proc? Will all 3 armor reducers stack? It will bite if the gold I spent on the Annihilator plans was wasted.

It would be interesting though to dual wield the two, or swap them out in long fights after 3 procs.

Crafted one of these for myself. I MT for my guild, and so far I can say this weapon is excellent for holding aggro/generating threat. I've tanked all of ZG, most of MC, and last night Onyxia. I threw lifestealing on it for that extra bit of threat generation when it procs. The sunder proc happens often, especially on boss fights, and if you're using a threat meter you can see just how good the proc is. Between this weapon and the new Prot talents, I haven't had a single issue holding aggro.

The preferred 1h weapon for a tank. Semi easy to obtain for miners, proc stacks with sunder for lots of threat, and it can go with the 5/5 axe crit spec if you hide a reaper in your inventory and use this to occasionally tank.

I've got one of these and I've noticed that the proc does NOT stack with a warriors regular Sunder Armor.

The proc stacks on itself three times, but it creates a seperate debuff icon. So, using this will take up an additional debuff slot besides the regular Sunder Armor.

I have this axe and have been using it along with some other 1handers for tanking, depending on the instance and the boss.
Its proc occurs very often, and it stacks with sunder armor. Its proc generates alot of threat as it reduces armor. I have applied Lifestealing for extra threat generation. Its speed is fantastic. I have used it to bring Vael (2nd boss in BWL) down, as second tank. If u can afford it, get it. Its a weapon that will always stay in my inventory.

Yes, the proc stacks with sunder armor. Its the perfect Tank's axe (high speed = frequent proc = loads of threat = better aggro holding, decent gamage).

I picked up this weapon a couple of weeks ago.

While the armor damage buff doesn't proc as often as I had hoped ... it is still a great weapon for tanking. It's speed really helps a ton when I am trying to hold aggro. Even though the effect takes up a debuff slot it really isn't that big of an issue. Taking the target's armor down is big benefit to the party. There is probably a better 1h tanking weapon out there but this one is pretty good. I also put a +4 damage enchant on it.

The proc is called Armor Shatter and can be stacked 3 times reducing enemy armor by 200 each stack
