Although not considered an armor set per se, this is a nice armor set none-the-less. With all of the pieces together, you'll gain +46 in all resistances, which is pretty nice.

All smiths can make it, and coincidentally, it's the easiest way to get your smithing to 300, since star rubies are pretty cheap, as are yellow power crystals, and it's orange all the way through 300, meaning you don't have to spend tons of money to skill up, hell, you could even spend as little as 4 or 5 gold if you farm the thorium and rubies yourself.
