In order to get these shards, you need to have completed the quest before it. To get these shard to drop though, you need to ask the quest giver for the little trinket thing. Once you got it happy hunting. As a bonus you can turn these things in for a plant cleaner. This will turn out to give you some nuce buffs in return once you clean a plant.

I got all 30 of mine from Jaedenar.

how i can get this 1 i want to collect corrupted soul shards and i done Cleansing Felwood and have Salve via Hunting visible along with Salve via Mining but dont have Beacon i need to press chat bubble is near the ! marks?

dont remember was there Chat bubble mark but is that it?

I did the first quest so that I could get these corrupted soul shards, then I went to grind for timbermaw rep. I got at leasta 80 shards on my way to neutral reputation and I think I ended up just selling most of them. I got a couple of berries that give a nice stamina buff when you eat em, as well as restoring health so if you want free food for a couple of levels it's not a bad quest.

I been collecting these things left and right, and have been tossing them cause no one knows what they're for. I however stumbled on the answer....collect them and turn them into Arathandris silversky at 54,86 in Felwood. She will give you plant salve in return for another quest. Same thing with Tainted Skins. I must have tossed 100 each of these things before I stumbled on her.

wth are u talking about, im furblog rep building and they drop off them every kill, if not every other kill, im getting these faster then i can find the damn flowers

although most mobs drop them it's a wast of time unless your planing on Grinding the Elementals! OR if your getting your Rep up for timbermaw Hold Becuse I Found the Corrupted Soul Shards drop very poorly, and the Skinning of tainted items even worse.

to date i've gote 5 tainted skins and 23 Corrupted soul shards and i'm almost Honered with Timbermaw Hold so you figure how many mobs i've Gone after also compleated every Quest that i can find in Felwood ...and yes i've turned in Feathers 12 times in total so no that was not the main part of my rep increase.

i think you need a cenarion beacon to get the soul shards.

You turn these in for plant salve to same elf that gives the beacon for the felcreep quest.felcreep is for the salve by gathering quest.shards are for the salve by hunting quest.I turne din both kinds for salve,just pick the right quest.

Drop rate of these here is BS, spent hours killing everything in Felwood (with the beacon) and got 5. Anyone running round with loads of tubers/whatever should be banned for exploiting.

In Classic WoW this is still the case:

In order to loot the Corrupted Soul Shards, you must be carrying a Cenarion Beacon in your inventory.
You can receive this beacon from Maybess or Arathandris, as appropriate to your faction, once you have completed their quest.

These drop commonly when killing stuff in Felwood if you have your Cenarion Beacon on you (in inventory). You turn them in for Plant Salves in southern Felwood (for Alliance). Then you can cleanse any of a variety of flowers in Felwood. After you cleanse the flower, you can click on it for a 1hr buff. These are boonable.
