From killing the frozen trogg at Gol'bolar quarry. It fell once it received fire damage from 4 people/pets warlock imps count too as he also drops chaos bolt for warlocks.

Living flame.
Killed a Frostmane Shadowcaster at frostmane hold and it dropped me "Spell Notes: MILEGIN VALF" which I used with a comprehension charm and it taught me Living Flame rune.

For Undead, Living Flame drops off of the "Scarlet Warrior", West of Solliden Farmstead in Tirisfal Glades

For Undead, Enlightenment can be found if you polymorph the "Odd Melon" neutral mob, it will turn the mob into a friendly mob that will teleport away and spawn a scroll on the ground,
where you get "Apothecary Notes", get 6 of those and you can combine it into "Spell Notes: Enlightenment"

For Undead, getting Burnout is West of Brightwater Lake just on the shore, "Frozen Murloc" same spot Warlocks get Chaos Bolt.
Needs fire damage 4 times in a short amount of time, so you need to be 2 with fire damage for it. Seems like respawn timer is about 5 minutes

In Elwynn Forest I've found random critters with a "Wild Polymorph" Debuff that give Azora Apprentice Notes after you polymorph them. Grabbing 6 makes Enlightenment.

Human Mage:
Regeneration: Looted from Pile of Stolen Books in a hut on the island in the middle of loch modan, next to the middle pillar.
Fingers of Frost: Dropped from Hogger.
Burnout: From the frozen murloc on the east side of the island in Stonecairn Lake in Elwynn Forest, or from the ice bound trogg in the quarry in Dun Murough. If you already have Living Flame, then it can damage through the ice block (probably a bug), which lets you solo it with 3 casts.
Enlightenment: Cast Polymorph on 6 wandering critters with the wild polymorph debuff around Elwynn Forest to turn them back into gnomes. They leave an item on the ground you need to interact with.
Living Flame: Dropped from kobold geomancer outside/inside the cave northeast of Goldshire.
Ice Lance: From the intro quest in Northshire.
Living Bomb: From the troggs on the island in the middle of Loch Modan. It was the one that throws the lightning bolts (Primalist?).

Found the Arcane Blast Rune for Mages:

In the Zoram Strand, killing Nagas will eventually drop a 'Naga Manuscript'. This book gives a short riddle on how to unlock the rune. completing the riddle gives a 'Spell Notes: Arcane Blast' which can be clicked to learn the Arcane Blast rune.

"The manuscript shows a map of three crystals along the Zoram Strand. An ordered path is traced between the crystals: going from South to North. Next to each crystal is a drawing depicting an explosion of Arcane Magic."

Spoiler Alert!, don't read further if you want to solve the riddle yourself!

To solve, simply move from crystal to crystal, South to North, and Arcane Explosion next to each crystal.

Horde - I got Living Bomb for completing Wand to Bethor, afterwards I got a turnin quest "A Token of Gratitude" which gave me Living Bomb

You start this by going to Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest and get a quest item from the Rot Hide Brutes, it tells will have you interact with a grave on the right hand side in courtyard of the castle, and then you get another quest where you have to fight your way up to the top left tower in the castle on the island, there is a "Dusty Shelf" that you can interact with and complete the quest, which gives you the quest "Wand to Bethor"

Regeneration Rune:
Went to Silverpine at lvl 11 (troll mage, zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Undercity, ran to Silverpine Forest), to say hi to a few 達拉然學徒s. Killed a few lvl 13, and a few lvl 14, about 7 or 8 in total. Got 法術筆記：再@#%, deciphered it, I am a healer now, I think?
(just healed my first dungeon as mage ... found out that Living Flame counts as arcane spell - really overpowered!)

Horde - Living Bomb - can be obtained from completing the questline on Fenris Isle in Silverpine Forest. On the island kill Rot Hide Brutes until you get a quest drop. This will take you over to a dirt mound on the east side with feet sticking out of it. This questline will continue inside the keep. At the top floor in one of the towers, there is a book shelf for the item. Turn this quest in in Undercity.

The mobs in this area are level 15 and up. Can you die inside the keep then rez yourself on the roof and the bookshelf is in the southwest tower.

Living Bomb --> Silverpine Forest --> Fenris Isle - Kill gnolls untill you get the Quest item, find the grave --> go inside the castle up the tower (I died and respawned up top at level 15) --> complete the quest back in undercity and you get living bomb

I found a mage puzzle in southern barrens (Blackthorn Ridge / Weapons of Choice quest area - Coords 45.4/80.0 on my Questie) that I haven't been able to find any information about. It appears to be only viewable by my mage (my druid friend couldn't see the green glow on the ground or read the etching on the wall). The puzzle states "The path of no steps begins here. Those who complete the path will acquire new knowledge." If you step on the green glow on the ground and pivot your camera around, a bunch of green circles appear to lead you towards another stone/carved etching sign. The green circles are the perfect distance apart for blink, and using blink does not put it on cooldown while you're on the green circles.

The first time I got to the end of the puzzle my bags were full so I am worried that somehow I messed the puzzle up. The carved etching on the second stone says "The path of no steps ends here. Those who complete the path will acquire new knowledge." which implies that I should have received something. If any other mages want to go investigate and see if either I messed up by having full bags, or confirm I'm doing the puzzle incorrectly, this seems like something interesting! There is something here to be discovered.

Enter, Go Left -> on the right in the room there is a containter with

Exit, goto Left Crypt - 15.57, 38.22
Enter -> Go Right at the end there is a Skeleton on a Alter Click on him to spawn a mob.

Kill Mob loot Mass Regen Rune

As a Gnome Mage, I have discovered that Vejrek (a non-rare lvl 11 mob) in Dun Morogh consistantly drops the Fingers of Frost rune instead of having to wait for the rarespawn. Its worked for 3 out of 3 mages so far from my testing.

The Mass Regeneration rune is located in the Raven Hill Cemetery in Duskwood.

Make your way over to the Raven Hill Cemetary rightmost crypt located at coords 23.63, 35.01
Enter the crypt and take the first left you can, going into a massive hall.
As you enter the hall, on the right in the room there is a container with the 破舊骨匣 item you need to summon the mob that drops the rune.

After that make your way over to the crypt on the left side of the Raven Hill Cemetery at coords 15.57, 38.22
Be aware of an elite named 摩拉迪姆 as you make your way over to the entrance of the crypt, he is patrolling the area and he hits quite hard, its pretty near impossible to deal with him at this level so make sure you avoid him.
Enter the crypt and go right, at the end there is a pile of Slumbering Bones on an altar of sorts, which is interactable if you have picked up the phylactary. This spawns a with 2.4k hp.

Kill the lich and loot him to get your Mass Regeneration rune!

There is an easier way to get Living Bomb that I dont see listed.
Go to the southern barrens, specifically Blackthorn Ridge. Close to the road you will find a large tree with a stone underneath, on that stone is a plaque that reads "no step challenge". Standing in the green circle at the plaque will spawn more green circles, and give you a buff that disappears if you walk at all. You have to blink from circle to circle (the blink cooldown is ignored during the challenge) and once you reach the second rock you get the rune for living bomb

New Living Bomb discovery location 12/8/23

45, 80 in Barrens. There's a stone with an etched carving on it and a green circle at the base. Standing in the circle gives you a "Path of no steps" buff. Turn around and there will be a trail of green circles. The "Path of no steps" buff makes blink have no cooldown. Blink (only) to each circle on the path. They are spaced perfectly so you can blink and not have to take a step. At the end there is another stone with another etched carving. Clicking that carving gives you Living Bomb.

Only downside is you have to be level 20 as that is when you learn blink. So if you're not in a rush, it's a very easy way to get it later on.

I got Living Bomb as alliance in Westfall by getting the Prototype Engine and putting it in a Prototype Harvest Reaper. The scroll to teach living bomb drops from the reaper after it attacks.

You do not need to kill naga for the scroll, doing the puzzle alone is enough for Arcane Blast. it can be achieved the moment you get arcane explosion. I am unsure if the stacking buff is lost on death though, so you may need an escort through mobs, or a bit of luck.

I looted Fingers of Frost rune from Fyodi in Dun Morogh, near the Brewnall Village. Fyodi isn't listed as a monster who drops it above, but that's who I got it from.

Found this one.
Thousand needles. 3 scrolls you combine.
1st in Highperch, around 10, 40, wyvern on fire
2nd around 24, 42, Harpy that is on fire
3rd is a cougar in a cage around 21, 25. You need to kill the mobs to get the key to open it.

Each of these you need multiple sources of frost damage to break thru the fire debuff then kill them. loot each and combine. you get the rune

HOT STREAK FOUND by Zqi

- Get a Singed Note from syndicate mobs in northern Hillsbrad
- Go to the blacksmith in Strahnbad in Alterac Mountains
- Use a fire spell (flamestrike, but will trigger from other fire effects like living bomb) on both of the large bellows outside it
- This summons a fire elemental. Kill it to get the rune.

For books, Interrogator Vishas can drop all of them for every class, the trick here is in a group its a royal RNG PITA to get them, but if you solo him or simulate soloing him he drops a book you actually need every time until you have them all. Around level 35+with meh gear ,
druid ,
paladin , mage ,
priest, disc ,
warlock ,
hunter .
and a rogue , that's most of the classes except a warrior and I am sure a decent def warrior can do it too. Sometimes I had to bail out the exit when pulling multiples, kill one, get out, heal up go back in and kill other.

Simulating soling Vishas
In a group that knows what you are doing, prepare to hit him first, leave group, tag him, do not accept an invite back until he is dead and looted. He will be your tag, and no group has the tag so it will simulate a soling of him even though they helped you kill him. This can be done with any boss in SM according to some people but I only helped others with GY bosses, both of them and it worked for them. First time I invited them back before he was dead and they accepted, that canceled the tag, BTW and someone else got a book but not the guy who's turn it was to try this.

The soloing was figured out after running GY like 50 times across 2 weeks and not having the books on my mage. So if RNG hates you, like it does me, Your welcome, have fun.
