As conflicts and threats escalate, the Alliance commandeers a robust trade network to maintain supply routes to Alliance forces worldwide. This network,
, works out of major cities, employing the talents of many to acquire supplies and move them where they are needed. Those who assist the network can expect special perks extended towards them. The Horde has set up a similar network to assist their efforts, the
.
Once you reach Friendly Reputation, faction representatives will sell you Runes - one Rune for each class. Note that even if the Rune for your class is not worth a grind, there are a few other rewards such as
and
, as well as a handful of recipes.
Earning Reputation with Azeroth Commerce Authority
Waylaid Supplies quest items drop from mobs of level 6 and above all over Azeroth. These quests request delivery of the Waylaid Supplies to an organization representative in return for a few silver, experience, and Reputation. Of course, there are items missing from the supply shipment, and it's up to you to fill it in exchange for reputation rewards.
To supplement the shipment, use the item to add the missing goods from your bags. The missing goods are profession and gathering items that you can farm, make, or buy from the AH. Note that you only get a few silver, scaled to level, for the turn in so if you choose to buy the supplies you may not get enough from the quest to make it profitable. But really you're paying for that Reputation, right?
Make sure you loot any chests you find since they have a much higher drop rate for Waylaid Supplies. Also, make sure that you don't leave anything in the chests so that they can respawn.

Note: Level 10 Waylaid Supplies stop giving Reputation once you reach Friendly, so you can't just farm lower level areas to get to Honored.
BoA Reputation Trinket
Phase 3 added the Bind-on-Account trinket
which aids alts in farming Waylaid Supply reputation, as you now find additional supplies from enemies. This trinket is available at
Exalted
. We will update our guide further when we know how impactful the trinket bonus is.
Level 10 Waylaid Supplies - Friendly
Farm these up to Friendly.
Farm the gnoll camps south of Stormwind. Any equivalent area will also work.
300 Reputation
450 Reputation
Level 25 Waylaid Supplies - Honored
Once you hit Friendly, you need to farm these to get to Honored.
Farm the gnoll camps in Redridge. Any equivalent area will also work.
500 Reputation
650 Reputation
800 Reputation
Level 30 to 40 Waylaid Supplies - Revered
Once you hit Honored, you need to farm these to get to Revered
700 Reputation - Level 30
700 Reputation - Level 35
850 Reputation - Level 30
850 Reputation - Level 35
1000 Reputation - Level 40
Level 40-50 Waylaid Supplies - Exalted
Once you hit Revered, you need to farm these to get to Exalted. Look for
in Stranglethorn Vale, Searing Gorge, The Hinterlands, Azshara, Blasted Lands, Swamp of Sorrows, Dustwallow Marsh, Badlands, and Tanaris for these supplies.

I'm pretty sure it's not scaled to level, it's just that there's different 'tiers' of supply crates worth different amounts. The ones worth 6s are worth 6s regardless of your level.

These being both unique and soulbound is such a drag. One or the other would have been fine, but both just makes it a chore. Gotta completely interrupt your leveling flow to do these each time you find one or else you're setting yourself behind, and if it's a rune you really want that just sucks.

Do I have to level the reputation on alts as well? I find this activity very tedious and boring. Most of the time, I have to fly to the city and buy stuff from an AH. Jesus christ.

I've found that not all supplies are equal.
After friendly some of the boxes do not give rep when turned in.
Can confirm that the deviled clams (filled) DOES give rep, however Minor Wizard (unfilled) doesnt.

As a lvl 25 human so far when I've handed in the crafted versions of them I have gained 700-850 rep each time. I know that humans gain an increase but its only 10%

This is BY FAR one of the worst thing Blizzard did EVER. I have no issue with grinding mobs for rep, but RNG on top of RNG is way too much. Whoever designed this deserves to be fired right away.

playing with new roles is one of the main features in SoD... so why don't we see Rogue-tanks?
Oh thats right... 1 needed rune is behind the terrible Grizzby farm where you have to kill level 29 Elites and buy Stuff for round about 30-50 gold if you can't farm and build it yourself as an engineer...
and the other but also most needed rune is behind a reputation farm
Blizzard f... the Rogues so hard on this...
What a terrible design to get a necessary rune as a rogue tank.

Much easier to farm these once you hit level 25. Targeted chests in lv18+ zones and the lv25 chests seem to be consistent loot but not guaranteed.

Just checked, I am able to buy my rune at friendly rep from the vendor in SW. It was NOT available at the Darn vendor or the IF vendor. I'm a human rogue.

I just turned in a Full Crate (Gray Woolen Shirts) and it only gave me 20s.
No rep.

I made/moded an addon for this called Waylaid Supplies Tooltip. It's on the 'ol Curse Forge.
It will tell you if you can receive rep and by how much.
Let me know if it's busted.

The amount of time and effort it takes to gather up, Buy at AH or craft those items needed to complete these waylaid crates, Is NOT worth the reward. THEN add in once you become friendly with the vendor, you get to see those items available to you. Again it's NOT worth the effort and there's zero substance to those items the vendor has for you. I've been avoiding these crates if and once found.

How do I get to 999/1000 exalted?
I'm at 680/1000 of exalted and it's driving me crazy.
I just turned in a runic leather bracers waylaid supply (one of the biggest supplies) and it gave 0 rep. :(
