A couple of tips for gaining Argent Dawn reputation:

1) You can kill undead mobs in the Eastern and Western Plaguelands to gain reputation with the Argent Dawn. Each kill results in 10 reputation points. Once you hit 5999/6000 of Friendly (right below Honored), you stop getting reputation from regular mobs in EPL and WPL.

2) Up until revered, elite mobs in Scholomance and Stratholme will give you 10 reputation points per kill.

3) Once you hit revered, the grind to Exalted is made by handing in Scourgestones, killing boss mobs in Scholomance or Stratholme, and by doing quests (especially repeatable ones like the Craftsman's Writ or the Cauldron quests).

Generally speaking, it is wise to avoid doing AD quests and turning in Scourge Stones until you hit Revered, as they are one of the only methods you have to gain reputation by that point.

Benefits for the higher reputation are varied:

1) The Argent Dawn vendors will offer better food and recipes once your reputation achieves a new level (see the Items tab). Also, until you are Friendly, you cannot actually repair your armor at Light's Hope Chapel (the only vendor that repairs won't try to sell you stuff).

2) The number of Insignias you need to collect to obtain the Argent Dawn-specific Rare and Epic items decreases with higher reputation:

Quality: Friendly, Honored, Revered, Exalted
Rare (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=9227): 30, 20, 7, 6
Epic (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/quest=9228): 110, 75, 45, 27

3) Getting attuned to Naxxramas is less costly:

Honored: 5 Arcane Crystals, 2 Nexus Crystals, 1 Righteous Orb, and 60 gold.
Revered: 2 Arcane Crystals, 1 Nexus Crystal, and 30 gold.
Exalted: No cost.

4) At honored, you receive a 10% discount from vendors of that faction.

Some other immediate benefits (other than the insignia reward quests) include a +resist shoulder enchant available from the AD vender and a whole array of Frost Resist gear learnable inside Naxxramas and needed for later encounters in Naxxramas.

The frost resist gear that you can craft from recipies purchasd from vendors requires that you have Frozen Runes that drop from Naxx.

Although they are no BoP it is difficult on some servers to find these at AH depending on how new the server is and how many advanced guilds are running Naxx.

Very nice craftable items if you can get these though.

Once you've hit revered, there are three main ways to grind rep up to exalted:

1. Run Stratholme (Undead side). Lots of scourgestones, plus you get 25 rep for each boss, 50 for the Baron, and a 150 bonus if you complete in 45 minutes.

2. Run Scholomance. Scholo has lots of bosses that are worth 25 rep, Ras Frostwhisper worth 50, and Healthy Dragon Scale (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13920) drops from the plagued hatchlings worth 50 on turn in.

3. Do the Western Plaguelands cauldron quests. First acquire a Vitreous Focuser (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13370) by completing the Scourge Cauldrons quest chain. Next, kill the non-elite undead in Felstone Field, Dalson's Tears, the Writhing Haunt, and Gahrron's Withering to collect Osseous Agitators (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13357), Somatic Intensifiers (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13356), and Ectoplasmic Resonators (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13354). Turn them in (along with Runecloth and Arcane Quickeners (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=13320)) at the cauldrons for 25 rep (15 rep for Felstone).

In all cases, remember to equip your Argent Dawn Commission (https://www.wowhead.com/classic/item=12846) and collect scourgestones for additional rep.

If you have reached and downed the 4 horsemen you have to be thinking of +Frost Res gear. In order to learn those patterns and not having to pay big amounts of gold to a NPC at LHC a tailor/blacksmith in your guild must be exalted in order to learn to craft the +FrR gear.

If you're doing cauldrons, keep in mind that the arcane quickener only lasts half an hour. It's best to make sure you have all the runecloth and assorted materials first, then buy the quickener and go to town on the cauldrons.

Also, Gahrron's Withering seems to give the best rep, so if you're lvl 55+, it would be best to focus on that one.

Yes, you do continue to get rep from normal mobs in WPL and EPL up until Revered, NOT Honored.

A lot of people miss the opportunity to get a headstart with their Argent Dawn reputation early while leveling. Argent Dawn offers a few low-level quests that give a very large amount of reputation, more than most sources at level 60.

黑澗深淵 quests:
(A)黑暗深淵中的惡魔 / (H) 黑暗深淵中的惡魔 200 Reputation
尋找塞爾瑞德 150 Reputation (Alliance only)
暮光之錘的末日 150 Reputation (Alliance only)

淒涼之地 quests:
上古之書 150 Reputation
聖光節杖 100 Reputation

These quests give you a headstart of 750 Reputation for Alliance and 450 Reputation for Horde. Note that completing these quests when they're trivial (gray) will significantly diminish the reputation gained, so do these at appropriate level!

Rep quickfacts:

Mobs in 西瘟疫之地 and 東瘟疫之地 give rep until 5999/6000 Friendly.
Trash in 通靈學院 and 斯坦索姆 give rep until 11999/12000 Honored.
Certain trash mobs in 納克薩瑪斯 grant 25 - 50 rep through Exalted.
Bosses in 通靈學院, 斯坦索姆 (25-50 each), and 納克薩瑪斯 (100 each) give rep through Exalted.
Scourgestones (+25 per turnin), Cauldrons (+25 per), 銀色黎明勇氣勳章 (+25 each), and 健康的龍鱗 (+50 each) give rep all the way to Exalted.

The following quests can be picked up from 鐵匠維爾海姆 at the Light's Hope Chapel in the 東瘟疫之地 by completing 歐瑪利安之手冊 which you get from 工匠大師歐瑪利安.
He's trapped in a cage in the first room of trash in the Deathknight Wing inside 納克薩瑪斯.
With a skill of 300 and high enough reputation, you will be able to choose from a total of 13 different patterns depending on your professions: 裁縫 (4), 製皮 (6) or 鍛造 (3).

Patterns / Plans doesn't exists, all of them are taught by 工匠大師歐瑪利安 in 納克薩瑪斯
