The NPC that gives this quest (Crimeon Lablade) can be found in the Steamwheedle Port, where you also pick up Screecher Spirits, not the same NPC though,

He's located in Tanaris 67,0 22,4.

Ok, so I just completed this quest with 300 alchemy.
I can't see that i've gotten anything from it. Like, at all.
I'll try to remember to update when i'm able to make my first transmute with this quest completed.

First Transmute:
1 Arcanite bar 48h CD
Nothing has changed.

Second and third transmute I didn't get anything.
However people have reported getting multiple Arcanite Bars when transmuting.

I first did the quest for mixology and then master of transmutation, can confirm Pots and Elixir is working, got 2 extra Arcane Elixir when I did 10 and 2 extra Superior Mana Potions when I did 20.
Transmution mastery I'm more uncertain of, I have only transmuted Arcanite Bars once since I did the quest, but I only got one.

5 Transmutes in, no proc.
since i havent seen proof that ppl have both, i doubt it it works as intendet. or im just rly unlucky :)

Okay after the 7th transmute it procted once, idk what the chances are, but it seems way less then 30%.
So far its 7 Transmute 1 proc. Ill update in 1-2 months when i have more stats.

Just had this proc 3x for me on a single cast. It does work, it's just rare as hell it seems.

Seems like you also need to be level 45 to pick up this quest.

I'm level 45 251 alchemy and i cannot see this quest do i need to be higher alchemy?

sure are a low proc rate
15 transmutes later and not a single proc
edit1: 19 transmute later still no proc

I've done 7 transmutes of arcanite bars since completing the quest and no extra procs. Super disappointing.

I’ve done 10 transmutes in a row after completing the quest with no proc whatsoever. This sounds like a farce..

Edit:

I have never had a proc after completing the master of transmutation quest. I am now 14 Transmutes in a row with no proc.
