Blizzard Entertainment is celebrating its 32nd birthday today!
Founded on February 8th, 1991, under the name Silicon & Synapse, Inc. by Michael Morhaime, Frank Pearce, and Allen Adham, the company originally concentrated on porting other studios' games, before beginning development of their own software in 1993 with games like
Rock n' Roll Racing
and
The Lost Vikings
. The company was then renamed Chaos Studios, Inc. for a short time, before becoming Blizzard Entertainment in 1994, making their mark on the world with the release of
Warcraft: Orcs & Humans
