WoW Classic Hunter DPS SpecializationsBeast Mastery:

Beast Mastery/Marksmanship builds provide excellent top end damage by emphasizing both pet damage and the Hunter's own ranged attakcs, though falls off if the pet is unable to attack. A similar hybrid build exists for PvP which rewards proper pet management in conjunction with kiting tools to keep the player out of harm's way.

Marksmanship:

Trueshot Aura builds are the heart of most Hunter builds in WoW Classic, as the tree provides a number of bonuses useful in all situations, including increased range, damage, reduced mana costs, and a group-wide buff.

Survival:

The Lightning Reflexes build is a solid PvP build, especially for higher geared players in later phases of the game, offering strong burst damage, crowd control, and survivability in melee.

So i see the thing of survival not having true shot. the big use of this build in raid was placing them with casters healer who did not get ap from it. they where not used often but could pump out a lot more dps if geared to speed with a fast bow. this was at lower gear. also handy to keep crap off said casters for tanks to pick up. I found with mine aim shot and hawk eye where not so useful. but if you where real good you can fined the sweet spot on range to drop traps for extra on boss fight when needed. but this is a spec that was harder to use to its full.

Distracting Shot isn't a taunt, right?

Quote "Dwarves lack any racial abilities for PvE Hunters"
And just below that, you write that one of the racicals from Dwarves are "Guns skill increased by 5."

That tells me that Dwarves DO have at least one racical skill that are good for PvE hunters.

Also for the Troll hunter you mention that they have Bow Specialization, one of the skills that makes them the best PvE hunter in the game.
Bow Specialization = Bow skill increased by 5.

"Raiding with a Paladin, which can Buff the Hunter with powerful Blessings such as Blessing of Might" ? No?
