This is part of a long chain quest designed to familiarize you with Zul'Gurub and the Zandalar Tribe. Much of the rewards are decent for their level. The Faded Hakkari Cloak is only slightly worse than everyone's favorite Hide of the Wild. Definitely a worthwhile chain for someone that doesn't want to shell out for the Hide.

The first two tablets drop off the two bosses in Zul'Farrak mentioned in the quest description. The tablets for the follow-up quests are right-click looted from objects.

The first run we did, we got the 1st tablet and i seen the npc to kill for the 2nd tablet around the pool area where gahz is before we wiped..After setting up a new party, bout an hour or so later, we go in again..the 1st npc isnt anywhere to be seen, even killed all the scarabs, still no npc anywhere around the tomb or that whole area like the first time we had killed it..we go ahead to where gahz area is for the 2nd tablet and once again, that npc isnt there either ><

So i was just wondering, if anyone else has had this same problem with this quest or am i just in for some crappy luck? ><

I found the tablet of Theka in the scarab room, but all it let's me do is read it. There's no boss, no item. What do I do?

In scarab room, Martyr roams around, as mentioned previously, druids and pallys work well against him for arcane damage. Vel ratha is in the Ghaz room by the pool in the middle. One suggestion that no one has mentioned is taking the shortcut to Vel Ratha, at end of first hallway, take a left by some boxes to walk behind the wall, then you can walk behind the wall all the way to Ghaz's room, makes lfe easier with less mobs and patrols. Then you can loop around and kill Martyr for the other tablet. Hope this wasn't too confusing, because this quest can be done in 15 minutes.

iam lvl 58 rogue and did solo..just kill the guy...everytime that he was cast i ckick with a rogue ability and break hes cast..looks weird why not the other rogues here never mention that!the other guy oinside just wait untill she pass infront of u and pull her into u with range weapon..piece of cake for loving rogues:)

Attn. Rogues. Blind works on Theka when he goes phys invuln. that should give you enough time to bandage and get a little distance so you can kite him around the walls in the middle until it wears off. takes about 3 mins. just solo'd it at 51

I have tried twice to kite Theka after he turns invincible. It doesn't work.

After a minute or so combat is automatically terminated even though he was hitting me a second before. His health is immediately restored to full, and yet he is still invulnerable to physical attacks.

Sounds like they changed something in a patch.

This quest is part of a quest line to get "Egg of Hakkar", this item is used to summon boss Avatar of Hakkar in Sunken Tempel. The first Quest: Screecher Spirits, requires you to kill some mobs near Dire Maul. This quest askes you to go to Zul'Farrak and obtain two items: One is found in the room with all the Scarabs. But could anyone be as kind to tell me where i can find the second one :)

In the new patch (1.12) Theka's invulnerability has been nerfed. It will now automatically turn off after 1-2 minutes if you have not already killed him by them.

I just tried twice to ride through the mobs and FD in the scarab room prior to attacking Theka. The mobs that followed me into the room stayed there, and stayed on my corpse. Every time I got up, I instantly had 4-6 witch doctors pounding on me. No chance to try soloing Theka. :(

Ive gotten both of the tablets, I read the quest and it says return to Yeh' kinya in Tanaris, I forgot where he is. Can anyone point him out without the coord mods please.

Standing in the room sith the scarab, and looking at a table i can "use" Tablet of Theka, but nothing happens, it just say something and thats it :S

I never had the tablet from Theka and finding a group was harder than simply skipping the quest. But then I came back and soloed Theka as a frost mage. Very easy, he can be slowed etc so it's no problem. And his invulnerability is not to spells.

YOU NEED TO KILL THEKA TO LOOT THE TABLET. his invulnerability lasts for less than 30 seconds now.
and a hint for rogues would be to kick him every time he tries to fever plague you because the Dot will pull u from stealth if u try to vanish.

I've done this instance probably five or so times. I have this quest and one other so I just did it tonight. When we go to the room, didn't know where the mob was that drops the tablet. he wasn't there... :S

I just ran ZF and we headed for Ghaz. Killed him and Vera...whatever for one tablet....group had to leave. I left and thot...what the heck...Stealthed in, got in corner and went to bear form....tanked him, popped out for couple rejuvs...When he went shadow i used frenzied regeneration, used a rejuv and regrowth...back to bear...By this time shadow was gone and i finished him off in bear. Very Easy.

Got First Tablet from Theka the Martyr and Second Tablet from Hydromancer Velratha - Don't know if it is random off any named mob or specific from these. They did drop on the first time killing them.

I just did this solo as a 55 mage. for first boss, clear the mob that paths in hallway. for the second boss, i stood on the opposite side of the pool and just blasted her down.

Description

The ancient prophecy of Mosh'aru speaks of a way to contain the god Hakkar's essence. It was written on two tablets and taken to the troll city of Zul'Farrak, west of Gadgetzan.

Bring me the Mosh'aru tablets!

The first tablet is held by the long-dead troll Theka the Martyr. It is said his persecutors were cursed into scarabs and now scuttle about his shrine.

The second tablet is held by the hydromancer Velratha, near the sacred pool of Gahz'rilla.

When you have the tablets, bring them to me.
